BrickList: ULTIMATE Lego Railway Layout

ULTIMATE Lego Railway Layout

This is (in my opinion) the best Railway Layout you can have. This is what a railroad needs: Track, Freight, passenger, workers and facilties. I will fill these catagories with the best sets in recent years. (I won't go all the way back to 12 volt trains) ENJOY! ==Murdoch17==

This engine is based off Austrain Federal Railway's Class 1020. This engine has been used twice. Once in 1991, as the set #4551, Crocdile Locomotive. The other time is this set. Use with train cars from the above set. Also could be used with a Break-down train.

4. 10027: Train Engine Shed

This train shed is based off any typical modern train shed. Now, there are some problems with this set, for it requires 2 sets to complete. Also, some modification is required to make the two sets connect. This set is NOT Emerald Night compatible.

5. 7936: Level Crossing

This could be considered part of the track catagory. It comes as a typical American Crossing and a made up track repair device. This device is based off the set #4525, Road and Rail Repair.

6. 7937: Train Station

This station goes well with the passsneger trains. I realy think the pedestrian over pass really looks nice.

7. 7938: Passenger Train

This is the passneger train. Not based off anything, (I think) this engine has no front and rear couplers. (Boo!) This set also includes the first signal in 11 years. (Orginal set: #4541, Road & Rail service truck from 1999.)

11. 10194: Emerald Night

This is the PERFECT example of a railroad steam engine. Based on LNER's A1-A3 class of British railway lcomotives. Though, the steam deflectors are were not on the orginal Real World engines (such as the Flying Scotsman) except in the 1960's.
