When I got set 7150 Y-wing and Vader's Tie for my 8th birthday back in 1999, the Darth Vader figure instantly became my favorite and most guarded minifigure. It was so cool to have the dark lord of the Sith in LEGO form! Kids these days have many ways to get hold of a Darth Vader fig. In fact, he is now one of the most common minifigures.
