Pirate Ships, 1989 to present!
This list collates all ships released by Lego, in reverse chronological order, since the beginning of the Pirates line. It includes POTC but it excludes re-releases, mini-versions and any ships that are not to minifig scale (Duplo, juniorised era releases.. etc).

1. 4184: The Black Pearl
This is the next upcoming ship in the POTC line - Jack Sparrow's own little baby! In my opinion, a very sobre ship, accurate to its name, not a ship even a normal pirate would want to cross!!

2. 4195: Queen Anne's Revenge
The first ship to be released in the POTC line - Blackbeard's ship, complete with Zombie crew. A fine ship!

3. 10210: Imperial Flagship
The second ship to be released in the Pirates relaunch period - What a masterpiece. This ship created a lot of excitement, due to its size, relative accuracy, and quality of build. We were all worried this would be the last ship after rumours that Lego was going to stop the line after only 1 year - but little did we know that it would start the POTC franchize one year later!

4. 6243: Brickbeard's Bounty
The first ship to be released in the Pirates relaunch period, 2010. A fine ship, though much simpler in design than the earlier ships of the original Pirates series. The ship has a lot of pearl-gold decor which makes it seem like a royal ship that the Pirates somehow managed to steal ...

5. 6250: Cross Bone Clipper
This little ship would be the last minifigure-scale ship to be released by Lego for 12 years. Definitely not a spectacular way to go, maybe the Pirates decided to stop pillaging for a while? The black and green hulls are unique, but due to the lack of a black central piece, it is impossible to use the pieces in a larger creation.
Goodbye forever Redbeard!!!

6. 6280: Armada Flagship
The Spanish make an appearance in this 1996 ship. With unique and beautiful blue/white hulls and colour scheme, this ship was a perfect new enemy ship to all of you pirate, bluecoat and redcoat lovers! The ship was smaller than its redcoat equivalent, but what it lacked in size it made up for in simple style. A good candidate for expansion, by extending it to two-central pieces long and adding an extra, taller, mast.

7. 6289: Red Beard Runner
1996 opens with a bang with this new ship, featuring collapsing sails and all the usual quirks you'd expect in a Pirate ship. Little did we know that it would be the last "proper" Pirate ship to be released for the next decade...

8. 6268: Renegade Runner
This small scale ship was released four years prior to its next equivalent (Cross Bone Clipper). Though very traditional in its colours, it is, in my opinion, a far more handsome ship.

9. 6286: Skull's Eye Schooner
A wonderful ship reserved for only the luckiest of children at Christmas, this was the "creme de la creme" of not only the Pirate line in the mid 90s but also of the whole Lego line. A wonderful set that won't be forgotten!

10. 6271: Imperial Flagship
The first of only two redcoat ships, and the only redcoat ship in the first pirates releases. A medium size ship with a brilliant classic design and appropriate colour scheme. You would need two or three of these to even have a chance at beating Skull's Eye Schooner however ...

11. 6274: Caribbean Clipper
The only bluecoat ship ever produced. And a very interesting design. The ship had wide hulls but only one central section, making it for a very bizarre configuration, but - somehow - it worked. A classic ship.
