These are, in my opinion, the best sets from the 1H 2013 line.

1. 76000: Arctic Batman vs. Mr Freeze : Aquaman on Ice
The 3 minifigures alone would make this price fair. To add them all in a playset with a new and innovative vehicle and some playable scenery makes the set by far the best set in terms of value and playability, two of my most important qualities in a LEGO set.

2. 79103: Turtle Lair Attack
For the price, there is lots to do in this set. There are TONS of accessories to play with, and the size of the lair is very good for about 500 pieces. With the fact that 5 out of six of the figures are exclusive to this set, extreme playability all for a good price makes this set not only the best TMNT set yet, but one of the best sets this winter.

3. 76005: Spider-Man : Daily Bugle Showdown
Incredible figures, fun playability and an ideal playset for Spider Man himself. A skyscraper with tons of places to put Spider Man crawling up the wall and being able to "swoosh" off the roof with the added play feature makes this a great Super Hero set.

4. 70704: Vermin Vaporizer
A chunky vehicle with a built-in laboratory, and a detachable mech? Yes please. While it isn't my personal favorite GS set, it is the best in terms of playability. The awesome Bionicle-looking robot is the icing on the cake of this set.

5. 60009: Helicopter Arrest
This is in my opinion the best City set. A bad guy's hideout with a garage, treasure, 5 minifigures, a dog, helicopter, boat, and car?! It sounds almost too good to be true, but it is in fact real. The only downside is it's a TRU exclusive, making the availability limited and price go up by their markup.
