1. 4480: Jabba's Palace
I'm gonna cheat on my first entry by including 4475 (Jabba's Message) and 4476 (Jabba's Prize) with this set, because together they make up the true Jabba's Palace. That said, 4480 features a ton of great things that make this set one of my favorites including Jabba himself, Slave Leia, the trans-green frog, Jedi Knight Luke, a GNK droid, and a working trap door in front of Jabba's dais. Unfortunately, an official Rancor figure wasn't released until 10 years later.

2. 4476: Jabba's Prize
This set includes an awesome classic Boba Fett figure and a Gamorrean Guard that I wasn't too crazy about, but it was unique at the time. Also includes one of my all time favorite pieces, Han Solo frozen in carbonite. Clips onto 4480.

3. 4475: Jabba's Message
Includes a detailed, creepy, albeit awesome Bib Fortuna minifig, which was unique at the time. Also a cheap way to acquire classic C-3PO and R2, as well as a neat security droid sphere piece. Clips onto 4480.

4. 7419: Dragon Fortress
The greatest (And largest) set from my favorite non-licensed theme, Orient Expedition. It looks amazing as a display piece because of its size and design, and includes a whopping 9 minifigures, almost all of which are exclusive, save for the Johnny Thunder and Dr. Kilroy figures. Also includes the spectacular Golden Dragon as well as booby traps, the Golden Helmet, the 3rd Orient map, and a neat throne room. Definitely one of the few absolutely 100% sets from Lego.

5. 4730: The Chamber of Secrets
One of my favorite Harry Potter scenes from the books and movies that I grew up with, the Chamber of Secrets includes a Basilisk, and 3 unique and rare minifigures: Tom Riddle, a mauve colored Gilderoy Lockhart, and the only Ginny Weasley minifigure at that time. The set itself is fun to build, and the Salazar Slytherin bust at the center looks awesome! Also includes some cool unique wall panels, the Sword of Gryffindor, and of course, the only Lego phoenix ever made, Fawkes!

6. 4504: Millennium Falcon
Many have said that the Millennium Falcon is the symbol of classic Star Wars, and I agree. One of my favorite Star Wars ships, I think this is the best version (aside from the UCS model, of course!). Includes Hoth versions of Han Solo and Princess Leia, and classic C-3PO and Chewbacca minifigures, as well as a Snowtrooper with a small turret. The ship itself is detailed and amazing, and its only flaws are the stickers and two-seater cockpit.

7. 7783: The Batcave: The Penguin and Mr. Freeze's Invasion
I vividly remember getting this set for Christmas six years ago, and it's still just as amazing now as it was back then. The Penguin is definitely my favorite Batman villain, and Lego did a great job with him, as well as the other 6 minifigures, which were all exclusive to this set except for Batman in his black armor. The set itself is huge, and features a Penguin submarine, costume changer, missile launcher, and dock for the Bat-boat if you managed to pick that up as well.

8. 10123: Cloud City
Okay, I don't own this set. But I have seen it and if I did own it, it would easily be my favorite model of my entire collection. The fact that it was a Lego exclusive, combined with the rare and classic minifigures, and its large size makes it extremely expensive, and I don't think I'll be able to buy it anytime soon. Great collector's item.

9. 4702: The Final Challenge
The smallest set on my list, it features the first minifigure to have a two-sided head, Professor Quirrell, who is also unique to this set. Also includes a lenticular sticker featuring Harry with and without the Sorceror's Stone. Not much else, but the Mirror of Erised and exclusive Quirrell minifig made this set a must-buy, especially for only $10.00.

10. 10020: Santa Fe Super Chief
The Santa Fe Super Chief is an amazing Lego exclusive from the Train line, featuring vivid colors and the option of a working motor and light. It looks very much like the actual train engine. For full awesomeness, pick up the passenger cars. Fair warning, this set and its extra cars are quite expensive.

11. 7153: Jango Fett's Slave I
Attack of the Clones was arguably the worst of all six Star Wars movies to date, but it spawned some great sets back in 2002, the best of which in my opinion was Jango Fett's Slave I. It's a massive improvement over the original Slave I (7144), released two years prior, and includes the valuable and exclusive Jango Fett minifigure, the only one released so far. Also features some great parts such as the engine/hyperdrive, and an array of weopanry the original Slave I didn't have.

12. 4756: Shrieking Shack
I had a tough time picking a tenth set, but the Shrieking Shack from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban deserves a spot. It includes a "transformation shed", where you can place a wizard and his Animagus (ex., Peter Pettigrew and Scabbers), and switch between the two with the push of a button. Includes some great minifigures: Harry Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin (with werewolf option), and Peter Pettigrew. The shack itself looks just like the movie version, and as a bonus, you also get the Honeydukes sweet shop and some useful food pieces.
