BOBAFETT1: White Boba Fett minifig and Star Wars book
    Star Wars/Miscellaneous, 2010

This week the LEGO Shop team in the USA have sent out this white Boba Fett minifig and Star Wars book to their 'favourite customers'. I wonder how much you have to have spent to become one of their favourites? I think this is limited to the USA, I haven't heard of people in other countries receiving them.

My guess is...a lot!! More of those elusive White bobas being given away to our US friends. Can we please have some in the UK TLG, pretty please !!

Ah, check fbtb.net. It says how. Apparently, 200 of them were sent to random people who had ever made a LEGO Star Wars purchase from Shop@Home.

Wow, nice Christmas present!

Very cool. Any one on this site who received one? If so if you don't mind, how much did you spend and what did you buy?

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 24 Nov 2010 18:32

They were random?!? That means someone who spent $2000 on Star Wars Lego could get ousted by someone who spent $10. Not fair at all for true Lego Star Wars fans. :-(

currently being offered for a painful $45AUD on ebay, and otherwise only available at toyworld Australia (if you can find one and only some stores) with a purchase of a lot of lego ($75 minimum) http://flyguy.net/toyworld-australia-gives-away-white-lego-boba

@kylejohnson11: I was one of the lucky ones that received one of these. And, thus far, I have purchased 99.9% of the Star Wars LEGO sets released. (I skipped a few of the re-release combo-sets and the early technic sets.)

i have spent a few grand and did or have not got one yet. that stinks.

I am not really interested in STAR WARS, but am curious about what the book is about. Anybody know?

I too was one of lucky ones and was surprised to find it in the mail yesterday. I've spent quite a bit on S@H over the last few years including a bunch of Star Wars. The book contains images of the 2010 Star Wars sets and some pages contain only the minifigs found in those sets. There are 9 pages, but honestly, there's nothing new that you can't find in the catalogs. The white Boba is the real prize.

I received one, too...but then, I buy one of almost every Lego set released each year; not always through Lego, but I do shop quite a bit at Lego stores and S@H. It would make sense if it was based on money spent, since their VIP program can track purchases at Lego stores and online.

Okay, I take back my earlier comment. From what SillyQuack said in the 3rd comment, I was under the impression that these were being given out randomly, but from those that have received them already, it sounds like they are not. Congrats, all those Brickset users who got the white Boba Fett! I wish I had gotten one too, but it seems like I didn't spend quite enough this year....

I've spent about $4K from Lego this past year.......majority from the Lego stores. Maybe Lego only cares for those who purchased at S&H. If Lego counted Lego purchased from stores like TRU, Target, Walmart, Borders, etc......then I should of received one. Oh well.....life goes on. Still love the brick!!!

I was amazed that this was released in Australia first. Good luck to American shoppers!

I'm glad its random cus that means I have a chance cus my mom would always get me em but would always create new accounts cus she couldn't remember em. lol But I've probably spent a grand on LEGO Star Wars.
Anyone know whats in the book???

Wow, well, I have bought a lot from Lego (SW and others) but if it takes buying 8 Death stars to get one of these Ill pass.

Oh, come on. 'Favorite customers?' Please.

Posted by Tomrulz25 in United States, 25 Nov 2010 16:04

I guarantee that its not based on who spent the most because there are definitely re-sellers who do 5 maybe 6 figures per year on S@H. Its definitely a random, normal spending habit based secret contest.

no fair

The figure looks nice. The book looks like it has a glossy cover.

This'll give an absolute nightmere to DrDaveWatford! ;)

I wonder if this has something to do with being a VIP Lego customer? This now comes with a card, so the account is harder to loose. However, I did not receive one of these, so it could be something else.
VIP membership earnes $ for $$$ of Lego's purchased on-line and in-Lego-store. I doubt that I will get points for purchases in ToysRUs, WallMart or Barnes & Nobel (though I need to find out if I get my 20% B&N discount).

I've spent over $6,000 in the past year almost all from lego store or lego online. I haven't gotten one of these prized figs yet.

Posted by Ianslegomomma in United States, 29 Nov 2010 13:17

We got these at Legoland back in August when it was Star Wars Day!

Posted by rainstorm26 in United States, 29 Nov 2010 22:38

I got a call from DHL and said they had a package from the Lego Group that they needed a signature. I was very hopeful that it would be one of these as I had not ordered anything from S@H. So after waiting all day it showed up. It was a Lego Universe T-shirt. Not bad for free, but I was really hoping for the Boba Fett and book.
