The new Green Grocer set, released over the weekend almost worldwide, is now available for everyone, as it showed up on LEGO S@H this morning for $149.99. 7041 Troll Battle Wheel also showed up, as well as 8953 Makuta Icarax, for a full $5 less than at Toys'R'Us. Sadly, 7041 is currently not available to U.K. consumers, but almost every other 2008 Castle set is, so there are plenty of other sets to choose from.

$219.00 CAN?!

Terrible Canadian pricing, especially when you consider our dollare being almost at par with the US. I was hoping to pick this up at LEGO S@H, but I guess I'll have to pick it up the next time I'm in the States.

I just checked Lego S@H and I don't see it listed anywhere. Where is it listed?

Check Lego> Shop > By Theme> Exclusives and Hard to Find or

http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=10185&cn=245&d=100

Brickset will probably have a link to buy as well (which is better for them and us...users that is)

I will be getting Green Grocer the next time I make my hour plus trip to the "closest" LEGO store so I can get my loyalty stamps which will help offset the $ for tolls and gas.
The green grocer is awesome and as someone in the group already pointed out you can download the instructions online from LEGO.
Someone built a tan version on brickshelf already.

Wow I'm surprised - the market street cost as much as the sailbarge used to and Green Grocer and Cafe corner are the same price!

Just ordered mine! Am sadly having to wait for Town Plan until next paycheck...

Of all the '08 sets released by TLG, I think this is the set that I like the most and wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't buy this and have the chance to build it. It is so nice I want 2, 1 to build and keep together and 1 to piece out into my brick collection so I can add the green bricks to my building stock.
This set is amazingly detailed and a deserving addition to the Modular Town building series started by Cafe Corner. Can't wait to drive an hour away to buy this set and get my loyalty stamps.

AS A SIDEBAR, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE 2008 SET TO BE RELEASED SO FAR?

Posted by Luke Skytalker in New Zealand, 15 Mar 2008 15:03

Mine's Rogue Shadow, but I'm interested in the Magna Droid Starfighter. If I could buy the Green Grocer and friends I would, its just that it costs a lot of money, as my dad was quick to point out when I bought and made the sailbarge, which is wicked!

Mine is the new AT-TE! It's cheap considering the fact that I thought it would 90 bucks! :)

Posted by Luke Skytalker in New Zealand, 17 Mar 2008 01:03

I don't really like that much. I could buy it if I wanted to, but I'm not that interested in it. I could end up buying it like I did with the AT-ST.

This set rules! Sorry about the Canadian ripoff prices, but Lego does that a lot. I want this set so much. If anyone knows a discount link, please contact me!

Posted by Luke Skytalker in New Zealand, 19 Mar 2008 13:58

Well, Colin, these are some coupon codes:

bscd27 gives you $5 off $20
sp117 gives you $5 off $35
amit0808 gives you 1% off any purchase
ericvonwade gives you 10% off any purchase

I think they work but have not tried them yet.

Wow, that's really cool, skytalker! How'd you get those?(Retorical question) :)

Posted by Luke Skytalker in New Zealand, 20 Mar 2008 00:27

What? Why is that a retorical question? Anyone tried it yet? They work on any set, not just the GG. I reckon my toyworld won't stock it in a million years but if they did they would price it cheaper than retail.
