That is a great one for the King's Castle. It goes nicely with their Black Friday Troll Castle sale.

Great Price for King's castle but IT'S ALREADY SOLD OUT!!!!!!!

Posted by rainstorm26 in United States, 03 Dec 2010 16:27

It's sold out because it went on sale last Sunday.

The King's Castle is currently in stock online at Toys R Us and it will pair nicely with a number of sets for their ongoing BOGO50% Off sale.

Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter already on sale? I'm not surprised....

I have the best Target in the world. I went in to pick up a couple more $69 Kingdoms Castle sets; when I got there they were sold out, but had a "instant substitution" sign; that said they were offering the Harry Potter Hogswart Castle as a substitution, reg price $129 sale price $90. Unfortunately they were sold out of it as well. When I ask a store dude if there was maybe one in the back he was cool enough to advise me to pick something else to substitute and I could get it for the same 30% off. I ask about the Slave 1 he said, sure.

So the check out girl (with help of a supervisor) sold me 2 Slave Ones for $56 each.....YEE-HAW

Further, I went customer service and got a rain check for the $69 Kingdoms Castle.

A note, you should have seen the Lego Isle, there were substitution signs on this and that, and pads of rain checks mounted on the shelves. VERY PROFESSIONAL. They actual used foresight to give quality assistance to us customers. I am very impress and will make an extra effort to shop there first. Ask your local Target about any such standard operating procedure regarding a "Substitution policy" on sold out sale items.

If Target is going to sell the Hoth Wampa Cave for 32% off. That comes to $27.20 (39.99*68%). That is sweet price.

$27 each for the Wampa Cave and Passenger Plane is pretty great. Additionally, that Lego Minifigure Flash Drive is pretty cool. But as far as sales go, I don't imagine we're going to get much better than these two BOGO50% sales at TRU that expire on Saturday so don't wait too long! :o)

Posted by meyerc13 in United States, 04 Dec 2010 03:16

@voypro - I know! Isn't that awesome that they'll give you an instant substitution, plus a rain check? Contrast that with TRU, I went there and 90% of their LEGO aisle was empty. Oddly enough I was able to pick up some Series 3 minifigs, but I was looking for some presents for two of my nephews and had a hard time finding a set because most of the City sets were sold out. Will TRU give you a rain check? No chance. Wal Mart? I don't think so. This is why Target is my favorite store.

I have had great luck with my Target as well. I really wanted the lego Target Gift Card and they have been sold out since I heard about it a month ago. TOnight I walked in and they had one left. So I went to check out with other things and told the cashier I only wanted a dollar on it . He said are you sure? And said that the smallest amount it will let him do is $5. I was just about to say ok and he said well if you dont want anything on it then I can just give it to you because it has no value. EXCELLENT!!! And I also got the slave I that was on mark down for $69 plus the Target Mag they sent out with coupon for $10 off. SO my Slave I was only $59.

yellowcastle - I didn't know they made a flash drive - where is it located?

I was in Target yesterday, and the Passenger Plane was on sale for $30.09. I didn't buy it, but I think the sale tag said the price was good through the 12/25.

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 04 Dec 2010 14:11

They're dropping the price again to $27.

Posted by AZFIREWOLF in United States, 04 Dec 2010 17:23

Got two off the passenger planes this morning. If anyone is thinking about it you might want grab these soon. There is a good chance that the set will be discontinued when the new space sets come out. The cockpits are the same so TLG could decide to take the set out of the lineup so that people can't get the parts to build the shuttle themselves from other sets.

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 04 Dec 2010 19:26

@brickmatt: they are located in the electronics department with the other flash drives.

Fry's in Metro Phoenix is having a 20% off selected Lego sets. Variety varies from store to store, but you can totally load up on battle packs, Echo Base for $19.99 (after savings), and even some Harry Potter sets.

Good luck. Already hit two stores and the sets were there, but if you don't go early they will all be gone.

Posted by lady_bricker in United States, 05 Dec 2010 15:17

you can use code JUH5H3OD to get an extra 10% off from target online. turns the 32% off into closer to 40%, a very sweet deal, especially with the sets that have free shipping.

Posted by 1265 in United States, 05 Dec 2010 17:09

Besides the three 32% off sets listed.....I picked up four more City Trucks which were also 32% off.
