Cardiff Store (UK) - Opening date finally finalised!

  • Cardiff Store (UK) - Opening date finally finalised!

Posted by bluemoose, 06 Dec 2010 07:14. Filed under Shopping (UK).

It's drifted around the calendar a little bit, but they have now settled on this Friday, 10th December 2010, as the opening date for the new LEGO store in Cardiff, Wales. You can find the opening hours listed here.

As with the recent Westfield, London, opening, this is a 'soft opening'; the Grand Opening event will be early in the new year. The "exclusive LEGO mini model" mentioned at the link above will likely be this months "Monthly Mini Model Build", the Christmas Tree.

Thanks to 'Jabba the Taff' for emailing in the revised link above. Happy shopping!

Cardiff is a 120 miles trip for me, would it be worth taking a day off work to go? I wonder what their PAB will be like...

On a related topic, the January store calendar is available online, however not sure what happened to the December calendar?

@Darthblaker - the 'Grand Opening' exclusive set is related to Wales, but that isn't the model that will be available in-store this Friday; the official 'Grand Opening' event, with all the associated goodies, will be in the new year. The "exclusive LEGO mini model" for the Westfield, London, store opening a couple of weeks ago was the November Monthly Mini Model Build model, the fire place. The official "Grand Opening" model for Westfield is London related, but again that won't be released until the Westfield "Grand Opening" event in the new year.

I applied for the assistant manager's job at that shop, and had no response. I found it ironic that when I went to Cardiff to do with my new shop manager's job and visited a store for the company I now work for across the way, it hadn;t opened yet.

They have my details if they so wish me in the future....

I applied for a supervisor job myself, didnt hear back so i emailed them asking when i was likely to hear from them as opening day was soon, ten minutes later they sent me a rejection email, i was gutted

Rang them today; the "exclusive LEGO mini model" was a mixture of the November monthly mini model build, the Fire Place, the same as for the Westfield store, and the December monthly mini model build, the Christmas Tree.
