    We reported last month that the LEGO Brand Retail division were advertising for store managers for new stores in Cleveland & Denver (and see below); now they are advertising for a store manager for another new store, this time in Indianapolis.

    You can read the details of the job here, and apply on-line if you meet the requirements. No time wasters please ;-)

    It's likely the opening date for the new Indianapolis store will be March or April in the spring; we'll let you know when we find out.

    They are also adverising for a part-time supervisor for the Miami store at Adventura Mall.

    As reported by brickset member cmrt1014, the February in-store calendar lists three new Brand Stores opening in the US in February soon -

    • South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, CA
    • Park Meadows Mall, Lone Tree, Denver, CO
    • Beachwood Place Mall, Cleveland, OH

    With the Grand Opening events for the two new UK stores & the Copenhagen store still pending, it's a busy time for Brand Retail.

Lego, listen to my cry! We need a Lego store somewhere around Harrisburg; (it's not exactly where I live, but it's the capital of PA) we only have one other Lego store and it's in Philadelphia! The only other place that would suffice is Maryland, but not too far away!

This may sound redundant but...what about one in South Carolina :D ! I mean it makes no sense! Sure lego looks at the demographics of the area/region but, what about tourist attraction. The city of Myrtle Beach gets fourteen MILLION visitors per year!! That's the population of Shanghai! A store in Myrtle Beach would mainly be a tourist attraction yet, still do sales in the non-tourist season. Maybe they should check with Wal-Mart because they have four stores in that region, two of those stores show up as part of the top 25 sales producing stores in the nation each year.

There is not one Lego store in the whole of Australia and it sucks because its so hard to get your hand on the hard to find sets

Why can't we have one in North UK or Scotland? I'm luckier than most because I have the LDC but it's shop is (censored) The nearest is Milton Keynes followed closely by Cardiff but they're both like a day's drive or more.
Maybe Newcastle or Edinburgh. (I have relatives in both :-))

Minor misunderstanding on the 3 stores listed: They are listed on the back of the calendar as "opening soon". No schedule to open in February. Sorry about that.

Anyone who has connections with the Lego Ambassador program, can you please beg them for a store in Wisconsin???? Because there is not a SINGLE ONE. And I don't even have a ToysRUs near me... :(

Oh dear. Even if my next job takes me away from Indianapolis, I'm still going to be close enough for driving distance, so there's a big chance too much of my paycheck will go there. Chicago was a good distance for an occasional trip/convention, but here in town? Uh-oh.

I still think there needs to be some away from the coast/bborders and out west. Here in the middle states, we have absolutley no LEGO brand stores without driving 5+ hours to Chicago. Why not put on in the center states so we have a more even distribution?

Yes Orange Lemons.I guess Chicago is closer to me, but the only Lego store I've been to (aside from the one at Disneyland) was at Mall of America. And I don't get to go there very often...

Jarod98, I just stopped by a Lego store in Hanover Maryland, south of Baltimore. Certainly drivable from Harrisburg. They had 50% off on all Prince of Persia sets yesterday (clearance), so worth the trip.

@izziebitt, a fellow IndyLUG member researched this (called the malls) and has pretty good confirmation that the new LEGO Store will be located at the Castleton Square Mall. According to the leasing rep that was contacted, "The lease has not officially been signed but it's a 95% chance that it could open in late spring."
