The PoP sets deals aren't that great, I got them on clearance for 50% off each.

Has anybody else found amazing deals at Walmart post-Christmas? I got The Burrow for $40, and the airport for $69...otherwise their Lego shelves were bare...I assume lots of sets were clearanced off at low prices.

Looks like most of them are available online, which may be the better way to go since many of the stores are still wiped out. I stopped by mine earlier this week and the Lego aisle was insanely bare!

Thanks neoroark. I need to go into a TRU to use my rewards bucks...I wish I could use those online. Looks like the rest are only 10% off...which a lot of times doesn't even cover the TRU markup. But in combination with my rewards, I think I should be able to find SOMETHING I want, assuming my TRU isn't completely out of Legos.

Well, at least this works to my benefit. The new Star Wars battle packs have been reduced down slightly below their MSRP. Combine that with a rewards bucks coupon that activates tomorrow, and I'll be quite happy.

The shelves are so bare because most retailers are going through inventory. So they won't restock until inventory is over. I was disappointed on how TRU did my rewards. Two of my rewards were available 1/1-1/14 then the other was/is available 1/15-1/31. Then the last one won't be available till February 1st. I thought with 10% back, I would get them all at once. Plus with the shelves bare it is hard to find something to buy.

My TRU in Comstock Park, MI had a ton (25 or so) AT-AT's. I got one for $84-$38 in rewards (I've got $12 more that don't start until tomorrow) so $46 for an AT-AT. They also had a 8915 Toa Matoro on the shelf. I thought that was odd and that someone might have returned an old toy after Christmas so I scanned it....... It was $1. Never opened still nicely sealed. :)

No x-wings on the shelves.

Using my rewards to get the slave I, but still not the discounts that wallyworld or the local kroger gives on lego.
I Just purchased The Portal of Atlantis and Space Police Central for 50% off at the local the local walmart and next week the star wars sets at the kroger will be 50% off.

Natro220: Yes Walmart had some super deals post Christmas. Many sets were 50% off to include ARC-170, TIE Defender, Alliance Droid tank, Separatist Shuttle, all PoP sets, many Atlantis sets, and Hero Factory Drop ship and HF Rotor. Best deal of all was the Star Destroyer midi scale at $16.00! I bought a bunch! Target is just fininishing up an inventory clearence. Saw some sets yesterday at 50% off.

Super, all kroger stores are in the process of inventory. So all sets that are being discontinued will be discounted.

The other sets are 10% off which usually covers just the TRU markup. As far as Target and Walmart clearances go in our area, I almost never see anything probably due to an overzealous reseller or two.

Picked up the House (#6754) at Kroger last night, was $44.99 - 10%, so $40 for it, I shoulda bought a couple, but getting one with the Mrs present was lucky enough :)

And I did get 2 mid-scale star destroyers from Walmart last week for $16 each :)

I'd seriously consider nearly any set at 25% off, particularly if the reason they are clearance is because they are retiring. If you would be so kind as to take note of the sets on clearance, I would greatly appreciate it.

the good thing about korger is... no one will get lego when they buy their beer or tomato, so they still have a very health stock of some old stuff... like for space police 5981, 5982, 5984... star wars 8087 7748 7749 8041 8018 8019 8037, etc.... and some other atlantis... i cant wait they drop to 50%... if ever.... sigh...

which part of the states are you from? it is always a pain and costly to ship legos in their original boxes.. that 25% may not be able cover it...

I'm on the west coast, and I agree that shipping would negate most, if not all, of the discount at the 25% level. I was interested initially when 6754 was mentioned because it's discontinued and nowhere to be found near me or for MSRP online.

I know how it is to invest the time to be ever-vigilant about catching a clearance level drop, so for your sake, I hope it goes to 50% and soon. And if it does, please let us know ;)
