The two LEGO Factory space sets can now be bought from LEGOshop.com in Europe. However they seem a tad expensive to me. At £70 (or €100 in Germany) for under 1000 pieces they do not compare well with Market Street, for example, which is £10 cheaper and has about 400 more parts. They don't seem to be available from LEGOshop.com in the US, but I suspect they'll be somewhat less than $150, which the exchange rate would suggest given the European prices.

I actually did find the product in a US lego "shop at home". It is: usd $99.99. It is also exclusive.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 19 Apr 2008 07:01

OK -- that's about £50, then. More reasonable, but still high IMO.

Posted by colin0906 in United States, 19 Apr 2008 07:26

Yes, Lego Shop at Home does have the product in the US S@H. The price is $69.99 USD.

Posted by Smallsam99 in United States, 19 Apr 2008 08:30

I not buying those worthless sets! Plus it's too much money for something that looks so small!

Posted by rwars in Canada, 19 Apr 2008 08:56

you can buy it in canada at S&h

Posted by bsmarthen in United States, 19 Apr 2008 09:29

Price is $99.99 U.S.

I have a burning question about the construction of these sets for anyone who may have them...
Space Skulls
-do the "tentacles" provide at least decent support for the biggest skull-ship/base?

Star Justice
-the vehicle looks cool with its suspension... but I am curious about the construction of the rear segment, I understand both the front and back have two sets of two wheels on a suspension system, but I also heard that the rear set "turns", I would just like some clarity on if it does turn, and if it does... then is it still swooshable?

Thanks, Carl Sagan

I think stickers once again are a bad, bad idea!

Posted by Gus263 in Brazil, 19 Apr 2008 12:30

Yes, the stickers aren't very cool to these sets. But i think that these sets are greater for space theme than the mars mission ones. But, I'm not thinking in buy these two sets, firstly because the factory sets never came to brazil, secondly, I like more star wars and Indiana Jones sets.

Posted by mastermind in United Kingdom, 19 Apr 2008 13:29

Actually, the U.K Price is £70.00,not £50.00.

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 19 Apr 2008 14:08

there a bit too expensive it would be better if they were seperate sets

Posted by silverdagger7, 19 Apr 2008 17:06

Sorry to be negative or anything, but I don't like these sets. They seem like a sad mix of astronauts and weirdness.

Posted by Carl Sagan in United States, 19 Apr 2008 19:09

Sometimes I just don't understand why people always hate stickers, yes they can be time consuming and are easy to mess up, but sometimes they can add to a set. If all of the logos were just printed on the bricks, it seems like that would be one of the best instances of juniorization. Take a look at the city sets of the late nineties, none of them used stickers, all of them instead used printed bricks that were so ugly they could make you go blind. It shouldn't be a hardship to find some tweezers and carefully apply the stickers.

-Carl Sagan

Posted by silverdagger7, 19 Apr 2008 19:18

You use TWEEZERS to put the stickers on? I just use my hands. And thats probably why they never go on straight. Anyway, despite tweezers, potential blindness, and the late nineties, I never liked stickers and never will.

Posted by Smallsam99 in United States, 19 Apr 2008 20:28

Printed blocks are way better! I think these sets are indeed a watse of money considering indy and star wars are coming out very soon!

Posted by marcussmithAFTERTHECRASH, 19 Apr 2008 21:07

I was really disappointed with the new space sets. I thought that they would come out with sets that smaller and cheaper. Also, the stickers on the minifigs are bad, printed minifigs would have been much better!

Posted by hustla187 in United States, 19 Apr 2008 21:56

Printed blocks are better overall.

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 19 Apr 2008 23:15

I LIKE STICKERS FOR ONE REASON THEY GIVE YOU THE OPTION OF HAVING THE DEATAILS ,THOU THE ARE ANNOYING

Posted by LEGO 50 in Philippines, 20 Apr 2008 08:18

The Factory space sets look okay, but I'd rather have the classics or Mars Mission sets.

Posted by Fighter95 in United States, 20 Apr 2008 10:51

I don't know why we're talking about printed bricks and stickers but I agree with Carl Sagan.

Posted by brankell5566 in Canada, 20 Apr 2008 12:21

Star Justice is $99.99 in the US and $149.99 in Canada.
$ $
(..)

Posted by Carl Sagan in United States, 20 Apr 2008 13:34

I do think it is stupid that you have to put stickers on the minifigs, that kind of printed detail I don't mind, it would be pretty boring if all minifigs were colors like blue black red etc.

-Sagan

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 20 Apr 2008 13:37

stickers on minifigs !!!!! how wrong how very very wrong

Posted by Smallsam99 in United States, 20 Apr 2008 14:45

I don't know why anyone wants to put stickers on minifigs! What was lego thinking?

Posted by Fighter95 in United States, 20 Apr 2008 15:08

Wait...Wait... these new space sets...THEY'RE ARE STICKERS FOR THE MINIFIGS??!?!?! Are they insane!? You do not put stickers on minifigs! That is the most terrible thing ever!!!!

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 20 Apr 2008 15:39

i know but its factory just two sets so what can you expect,i would say mars mission is better ,and life on mars was the best thing ever

Posted by Carl Sagan in United States, 20 Apr 2008 15:59

nah, life on mars was weird... mars mission is okay and the new sets look a little better...

There is no question that all of the space themes up to insectoids were the best, hands down, (except maybe robo-force)

Posted by lego12 in United States, 20 Apr 2008 16:09

I saw this set at the lego store in Orlando,Fl. It was about $150. It is an expensive set! I mean it has less 1000 peices...it's INSANE!!!

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 20 Apr 2008 19:05

i disagree Carl Sagan the aleins in mars mission a terible ant the old trike was a 100% better, yeah the price is a bit high for what you get and stickers on minifigs,i sugest waiting until it goes on sale so then it would be at least 100 canadian

Posted by Carl Sagan in United States, 20 Apr 2008 19:48

yeah, the aliens do suck... but their ships are cool

Posted by Flex in United States, 20 Apr 2008 20:29

They look okay, but I won't buy them. Stickers+Minifig=Bad!

In reponse to Carl Sagan: The vehicle bends in the center and the wheels are mounted on a technic beam that has one axle.

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 20 Apr 2008 21:20

i dont care much for the space skulls ,there a little odd especially the big one

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 20 Apr 2008 22:57

Well, I am most certainly NOT getting these sets and their stupid put-on-sticker minifigs!

Posted by water jedi 17 in United States, 20 Apr 2008 23:16

I really like the space sets and would buy them over mars mission sets although they are quite expensive. As for the stickers, I have to agree that they should be printed on the minifigure.

Posted by bsmarthen in United States, 21 Apr 2008 00:57

Some of the sports sets before had stickers for the minifigs. These sets are still goofy looking either way.

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 21 Apr 2008 12:00

bsmarthen, thats so you could customize them. And what a lot of people here don't know is that these sets were created on LDD, LegoDigitalDesigner, so they couldn't make new torsos and had to apply stickers. I would buy Star Justice if it wasn't so incredibly OVERPRICED.

Posted by Da_LegoBuilder in United States, 21 Apr 2008 20:26

they could choose so many other themes, why Space?! they already have MARS MISSION!

I agree with everyone, way overpriced!

Posted by Smallsam99 in United States, 22 Apr 2008 15:23

Life on mars is a legend compared to these pathectic sets for money. I mean just look how lame they look! Would you pay 100 dollars for a cheap lego theme like Factory(excluding modular houses, they are awesome)?

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 22 Apr 2008 18:13

life on mars can kick mars mission all the way back to earth ,also mars misssion is about conquering mars (how american) life on mars was about exploring mars

Posted by AngryBullDisease, 23 Apr 2008 13:35

Holy, this set is waaaaaaaaaaay overpriced. I mean $100? LOL. And stickers on minifigs? Oh yeah, Smallsam99, life on mars was okay, but the upcoming mars mission sets are way better then life on mars.

Posted by Fighter95 in United States, 23 Apr 2008 14:50

I agree :D Mars mission is so much better than Life on Mars :D

If anyone can't tell by now, I like using :D

:D hehe

Posted by Smallsam99 in United States, 23 Apr 2008 16:18

I was just stating in comparison to factory and life on mars alone. I say mars mission is pretty good but my favorites are the classics like blacktron, insectoids, and spryius. Also I think space skullls suck!

Posted by Smallsam99 in United States, 23 Apr 2008 16:19

Sorry, for the language it's just that I really don't like these sets. I mean it sounds like megabloks would make up sets like this!

Posted by fredthefish03 in United States, 26 Apr 2008 15:15

way overpriced....and kind of cheesy...really cheesy

=(

Posted by AngryBullDisease, 26 Apr 2008 20:31

I still cant believe there are stickers on minifigs. Heck, thats worse then belville.

Posted by WPP11, 28 Apr 2008 20:56

Umm... I think this hould be worth Alot less! Its somewhat nice but why are they wasting time building some space invader set when they could be making new indy sets or starting a pirate series. on my opinion, ti was a total waste to make this set. o_o

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 30 Apr 2008 19:23

well i wish they made a better space theme and some of the old sets should be re -released like the 6987: Message Intercept Base because its every thing i want with a space set(not including gun turrets)if only i owend it

I don't understand why the item number is 10191, that should be the number for a UCS set. Unless it is a collector's item, though I don't see why it would be. It doesn't look much like a modular house to me...

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 05 May 2008 11:00

it worked though luke skytalker , i only like the little space ship the rest i could care less about

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 05 May 2008 16:39

Skytalker, these are factory sets which are kinda similar to UCS sets in that they both have 5-digit item numbers.

Posted by orukaia in United States, 05 May 2008 23:54

Agh! It looks so expensive but when I first saw the pic I was expecting it to be like $50-60! $100 seems like way too much, but I'm prolly still gonna buy it anyway :P

Posted by speed27 in Australia, 10 May 2008 06:46

bad bad bad, very bad. this year is the 30th anniversary of the "classic space" theme and this is all they could come up with. bring back the designers of the 918/924/928 range and let them have a crack with the new bits that lego now produce. even better would have be to open it up to a worldwide design comp using classic space as the theme. i have alot of downloaded pics of stuff guys have produced that is way above this offering. mars mission looks to be sort of on the right track but how can you go past classic space? id rather spend my $100 online to get a classic set i dont have (space police 1, blacktron)
why lego dont re-release some of the classic sets (different moon logo of course so as not to devalue the originals) as well as the printed bricks (down arrow, LL924 would have to be CS924 with the CS being classic space of course!)

Posted by Luke Skytalker in New Zealand, 10 May 2008 15:29

Completely right, speed27. The new bricks would be used to the advantage of those builders. Well, looking at this, it looks like the builders that built those sets got fired or something. Unless this is made by a fan like space skulls.

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 10 May 2008 20:42

this is made by a fan who has no idea what people want , id rather have somthing like supreme commander or doctor who ,wait a minute doctor who is really popular in the u.k./bbc countrys so lego should consider that

Posted by A1565 in Canada, 11 May 2008 22:54

To DoctorWho/:
Mars Mission is good. Who cares about the alien's arms? The aliens aren't all that important and they have cool ships and they use staffs so they don't need moving arms.

To Carl Sagan:
yes the star justice vehicle's back wheels can turn

Posted by A1565 in Canada, 11 May 2008 22:58

Mars Mission is about mining on mars and the aliens in Mars Mission are NOT martians. They want to take over mars and then, possibly Earth.

I think Life on Mars sets look wierd.

Posted by BlackRabbit in Canada, 11 May 2008 23:59

life on mars aleins were weird but they were diobolicly cute , stickes are annoying on small peices and are not water proof ,i dont like you very much ,life on mars had awsome mechs and alein veicles ,mars missions alein veicles seem all the same using the same curved peice on everything at least the new martians have movible arms , sadly life on mars did not last long like most themes from that time
