    40018: Easter Bunny

Brickset member kikisfishy found two Easter polybag sets in the Bluewater, UK, LEGO brand store today: 40017 and 40018. Isn't the bunny cute!

Update: As well as these Easter themed polybag sets, three others came to light yesterday: a BrickMaster Ninjago set (20020), Brickley the Sea Serpent (40019), (check out Higgins' pictorial review) who has been found in US brand stores, and Star Wars AT-ST (30054) which looks to me to be pretty much identical to the one released in 2003 in 4486, but without the printed flag for its 'face'.

I like the Easter basket but the Bunny kinda freaks me out. Hopefully I can pick both up in the states over March break.

Posted by Erinlyn80 in United States, 02 Mar 2011 14:04

I was at Lego store Mall of America, Minnesota yesterday and got both of these!

Posted by aaronptrck in United States, 02 Mar 2011 14:21

Erinlyn80 - How much were each of these sets? $4.99?

Posted by Zrath in United States, 02 Mar 2011 15:18

Okay, looks like I only need to send Brickset a photo of 40019, the green sea serpent.
I got the Easter Basket, the Easter Bunny, and the sea serpent at the Glendale, CA, Lego Store yesterday.
They were all $4.99 USD each.

40017 seems to be a nice little set for light green and yellow pieces.

:D The bunny has dark tan cheese slopes on it's feet - me want! :D

Posted by princeofpersia in United Kingdom, 02 Mar 2011 15:55

that bunny looks kinda creepy but still cool for its pieces :)

Posted by Pepper in United States, 02 Mar 2011 16:02

These will be good for parts, and not much else.

Posted by rainstorm26 in United States, 02 Mar 2011 16:18

Wait til they go on sale. There are still valentine day sets on sale for 50% off.
Note: Double VIP points until 3/15!!!!

Ah. I noticed that. Apparently Star Wars is festive too.

Infact, this is how I found out about the easter things. Funny huh? And that bunny is so darn cute!! :)

Posted by Erinlyn80 in United States, 02 Mar 2011 16:47

Looks like the question has been answered but yes they are all 4.99. I wouldnt wait until they go on sale sometimes theyre sold out by then, just checked and the valentines day ones are sold out.

Better than last years bunny imo and that basket is nice. But I will probably wait until they go on sale , if I get them.

Posted by atmail35 in United States, 02 Mar 2011 17:32

We bought the bunny yesterday at the Lego Store in Mass. The bunny is creepy...the head swivels around 360 degrees....can we say exorcist bunny?

Posted by Divinity3d in United States, 02 Mar 2011 21:19

I check Legoland tomorrow and get back as to what is there...

Posted by Brickmatic in United States, 02 Mar 2011 21:21

Yeah, the sets are cute, but...
1) It seems the bunny shares a common ancestor with Rudolph the Reindeer considering its translucent nose.
2) As mentioned by atmail35, red-nosed bunny is possessed by demons. Now if it only had projectile vomit...
3) What is up with the flat bottomed eggs? They remind me of aerosol cans or artillery shells. Very festive aerosol cans or artillery shells.

@TooMuchLEGO, that is funny.

Here is a picture I took of #40019 - the green Sea Serpent polybag at the Seattle area LEGO store. $4.99 USD.

off topic but the LEGO store also had tons of the new smaller box sizes in stock. Across all Themes.

I think i saw the Easter Bunny and the Sea Serpent in the LEGO Store at Queens Center, NY.
Oh and bye the way, did you see the email i sent you, Huw?

Posted by wiredforsound in United States, 03 Mar 2011 02:50

I picked up the 40019 Sea Serpent at the LEGO Store at Washington Square Mall in Tigard, OR today for $4.99 @ 67 pieces - http://www.flickr.com/photos/wiredforsound23/5493371169/

Is anyone else a little confused by the Ninjago Brickmaster set? I thought the Brickmaster sets were exclusive to Brickmaster magazine which has been discontinued.

I was surprised to read the sea serpent was nationwide for some reason I thought it was a Mall of America exclusive because that serpent is on top if the new store. lol silly me

does anyone know if the targets have put out their easter stuff yet?

Posted by Tervlon in United States, 03 Mar 2011 13:42

@Erinlyn80 I believe those BrickMaster sets are still being produced for those whose subscription hasn't run out yet.

Posted by vamproe in United States, 03 Mar 2011 13:53

The brickmaster sets are still being made....the last one was a slave 1
I should be getting the ninjago one too....no delivery yet

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 03 Mar 2011 14:19

I think some Target's have started putting out their Easter stuff, if not then they will soon. It might be a few weeks before we see series 4 figures showing up though.

Posted by iabstract in United States, 03 Mar 2011 14:41

Any sightings of 30052 or 30053 as well? The Target by us (Albuquerque, NM) was putting out Easter stuff around Valentine's Day, so I'd imagine they're ramped up by now. I need to check and see if they have the SW Lego sets.

Posted by izziebitt in United States, 03 Mar 2011 15:30

@voyanui8768... i put all of these together today and the cheese slopes are dark grey not dark tan.

Posted by rainstorm26 in United States, 03 Mar 2011 16:49

What's up with 2000413 and 2000415? The set numbers are very odd. These sets look very interesting. Is this part of the MBA?

Posted by Brickmatic in United States, 03 Mar 2011 17:35

@rainstorm26, Not part of the MBA. It is part of this: http://www.seriousplay.com/

Posted by PaulTR in United States, 03 Mar 2011 17:41

Pretty nice sets! I probably won't get any though; I have enough 'cheese slices' as it is. Still, you can never have enough LEGOs... :)

Posted by refriedbeans in United States, 03 Mar 2011 19:46

If anyone goes to Target please report what Easter sets they have! Thanks!

Posted by blazetrooper501 in United States, 03 Mar 2011 20:35

There is a new lego star wars mini AT-ST it looks pretty cool.

Posted by iabstract in United States, 03 Mar 2011 22:19

Odd. Just went to the Target next to me and they have no Easter stuff out, despite having some of it out around Valentine's Day. I guess I'll just have to be vigilant about it.

Posted by rainstorm26 in United States, 03 Mar 2011 23:39

@Brickmatic - thanks for the link. Those are some expensive sets, but they do look cool for creative building.

Posted by MorkMan in United States, 04 Mar 2011 13:05

Has anyone seen the AT-ST yet? I called the Chandler, AZ store and they say they've never heard of it.

Posted by whkim75 in United States, 04 Mar 2011 15:02

went to my local target - nothing yet. they have all the outdoor bbq stuff popping up by no easter stuff.

Posted by legos in United States, 04 Mar 2011 17:41

So funny ! This is the set thats on the April 2011 callender page! I was just looking at it. Great set though.

Posted by legos in United States, 04 Mar 2011 17:44

TOMUCHLEGO is right. the product is the easter basket but when you go to zoom in it takes you to the REAL product.
