Agh, just ordered diagon alley and a few other sets a couple of days ago, got double points but would have preferred free shipping! But yeah, at least I can use those points against the Maersk train when it comes out next month, so it kinda evens out I suppose.

Edit: I assumed it would apply to Ireland too, but just checked the Lego site and no free shipping for us. :(

So double points equate to 10% woo hoo........ Shame there aren't any decent offers. Come on Lego have a heart, there's a recession on. Some of us haven't had much work for the last three years. Many people are having to take pay cuts. The VIP card basically give you very little anyway. Does 5% actually cover the last couple of price hikes? I think not. Like all loyalty cards, it would be stupid not to use them, but if they didn't make Lego, or Tesco, or whoever money then the companies would NOT do them.

woo hoo, well it would be if i had not given up buying lego for lent which ends just after this deal finishes ;)

Not a bad deal. You have to spend a fair amount for the Double points to make up for the price of shipping. Apparently the offer is good until 11:59pm on 15 April, so I plan to hold off to see if any new sets come online next month. Just in time for my son's birthday :o)

Every time Lego.com run this type of promotion, I've literally just placed a big order with them (hasn't even arrived yet!). Sigh. Oh well, at least I got my double points.

If the free delivery is still in force at the beginning of April (which it says it should be), then maybe the new Maersk train could be on the cards...

Double points ended yesterday. Still spent over £100 in Brighton Store on 10197 fire brigade and a pharos mini figure set. We just can't help ourselves. Can't wait to build it

Just had a thought, the free shipping ends on April 15th, which happens to be the day that Minifigures Series 4 becomes officially available. Coincidence?

@Pantboy, good to see I'm not the only one giving up buying lego for lent! (o: shame about missing out on free shipping tho... but it will be harder to resist the collectable figs when they hit!!
