The Beano comic has free collectable minifig goodies this week: a minifig, a 16 page LEGO comic and minifig stickers. If it's anything like the last time, they'll sell out quick so get down to your newsagent this morning!

You can read more at the Beano site.

    Thanks Markey for the news!

Just so you know the minifig is a Series 4 CMF.

Artist was in my sons, in case you were interested :)

Great, I'll likely pick up a few again like last year as a nice keepsake.

^ Yes, I picked up two at lunchtime, opened one, which was the Kimono girl.

Beano have done this promotion for Series 1 and 4. Why not Series 2 and 3 as well?

Can someone with the Comic tell me what the 8-page lego special is inside? Is it anything like the series 1 minifig booklet that Lego produced and sent out with the Lego club magazine? ...wish they'd done a little booklet for each series, would've been nice.

^ No, it's just a rubbish little insert in the comic full of silly games for kids and adverts

^^ Series 2 was not marketed as strongly as 1 because of the supply chain problems encountered with series 1: basically demand outstripped supply and this wasn't resolved until series 3.

Why exactly do they not do things like this in the US?

Ah man, I was just about to email about this!

I was going to pick 1 up, but then I realised that I'm just paying 51p extra for something I would just through in the bin. And you can't really feel the packet.

I think I'll pick up one or two if I see them, mainly for the stickers! :) Thanks for the heads-up!

MADABOUTLEGO on Youtube has posted this video to review the minifig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gclsqW4YJrg&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL.
MADABOUTLEGO is not revealing the minifig, but it is still worth to view. I hope this helps.
