Series 4 Minfigures Spotted at Target

Forum member Jillerbean16 provides us photographic proof that Series 4 Minifigures have begun showing up at Target stores.  Look for them in specialized hanging boxes on endcaps in/around the toy aisle.  There's no confirmation yet on the numbers or exact assortment of minifigures per hanging box.

Lol, I just had a dream about that or else I saw them for real life in my Target. Plus, they were on the endcaps so I probably saw that in real life.

This is how walmart sells them too, though I've only seen them with series 3 at walmart.

Remember to check independent stores for minifigs too, they're very helpful.

Five Below in the US sent out a newspaper circular several weeks ago claiming to have Series 4 Minifigures for $2.99 each as well, but I have yet to go to a local store to confirm this. As for Target, my local stores have never gotten in any Minifigure Series after a very brief run of Series 2, despite sightings of Series 3 and now Series 4 mentioned here at Brickset.

I've seen them at 5 below.

The 4th series and I still have NOT gotten ONE. Anyway, I might go check my Target just in case.

I found them at TRU, Target, and my local LEGO store.

TRU near me has gotten several boxes on every truck. They have series 3 still in stock. The manager was telling me that no one is buying series 3 and they are all buying series 4 (limit 5). If what he is saying and what I am seeing when series 5 comes out there will still be plenty of series 4 available. By the way the Haz-mat guy is the easiest to feel for and the hardest to find. They are gone as soon as the box is opened. 9 times out of 10 is it me. HA HA HA

A local Fred Meyer here in Oregon sold series 4 a week a head before they were actually at the Lego store, how come its that way, though im not complaining one bit. Now the Series 4 is actually every where here... be it Target, Fred Meyer, TRU and even Borders.

Spotted 2 boxes of series 4 today in my local Big W departent store, along with 4 boxes of series 3. As yet i have seen no way of telling what is in each packet, they seem to be void of all marking to identify them. Price here is range from $3.00 to $5.00 depending on where you get them.

Are there "boxes?" Like, could I buy a complete box, like in series 1 and 2?

Posted by I like Lego in Canada, 18 Apr 2011 08:37

I went to Toys"R"us last Saturday for a Build-a-lego-set-for-free event and they had three boxes of Series 4 out. They weren't in the lego isle, they were placed on top of those lego box like structures that hold lego sets. They were quite noticeable, except I didn't know the price.

I don't know how much had been taking, but from the look at one of the boxes it looked as if most of the Minifgures were gone. I would've bought some, except I was saving up to buy a Wii.

I've actually seen them at TRU and Borders bookstore. I think that the locations can vary from state to state.

@ tonyab: Have you seen Brickset's S4 cheat sheet?

http://cf.minifigcollector.com/images/bumpcodes-series4.png

LEGO ditched the identifiable barcodes with S3 but the packages do have subtle raised bumps along the bottom that you can try to match up with the list. Some people seem to have great success with them; for S3 I personally had the list in-hand and STILL couldn't identify what dots were what so that IDing method seems to be fairly hopeless for me. ;)

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 18 Apr 2011 16:25

I have found especially with S4 that it is very easy just to feel the packages to identify the figures. Some of them are incredibly easy to spot (Kimono Girl, Crazy Scientist, Surfboarding Girl, Hazmat Guy). That is, as long as you do not mind looking foolish feeling up the bags while other customers and employees walk by.

are these at all of the target stores or just a few

Posted by TBOC in United States, 18 Apr 2011 18:01

AH, why are all the good things happening when I'm saving up for HP...

I guess I can skip another week for these.

Meijer in Northern Michigan has them also.

Posted by clowndiscus in United States, 18 Apr 2011 20:22

i just checked my target and they had none :-(

Posted by mark44 in United States, 18 Apr 2011 20:25

Why does everyone feel foolish feeling the bags? If people look, I say, "Yeah- Lego won't tell us what's inside so you have to feel for a certain piece." and they look at me like "Duh- of course...why wouldn't you figure out what you're buying before you buy it?" Stand proud, people.

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 18 Apr 2011 21:55

@mark44: Well too many times employees try and make you feel uncomfortable, asking "Do you need any help"? or "Are you sure you don't need any help"? It's quite annoying.

Posted by camaro365 in United States, 18 Apr 2011 23:37

The only thing I feel foolish about is not realizing the round thing in the bag was the Viking's shield! Oh well, still found a Hockey Player and a Muskateer. I can only afford to buy the ones I really want. It's sad, I know....

Went to Target today, no display in sight, not even in the toy section.

Went to TRU, found 2 opened cases and managed to sift through a set of 15 + an extra Monster(unintentionally <_<).

May go back for the last one tomorrow.

checked 2 targets in the Madison, WI area....none there

Posted by ToT-LUG in United States, 19 Apr 2011 08:54

For those going to Target, have them check the DPCI number for you. It's 204000463. Chances are that they have the figures in the stockroom and have just not put them out yet. Shelf date for them is April 24th, but they are not "street dated". This means that they won't put them on the SHELVES until April 24th...but since they are not "STREET DATED" they can still sell them to you right out of the back room.

The only downside here is you really can't ask to "feel the bags" for what you want. You just take what you get...or buy a complete case. ;-)

Posted by Unknown User2596 in United States, 20 Apr 2011 00:12

...April 24th is when ALL Targets put out S4?

Too late Target! Found the remaining fig today thanks to TRU (a sailor).....time to wait for S5.

Posted by crazyawesomeyeah in United States, 20 Apr 2011 21:58

Posted by halfpenguinhalflego in United Kingdom, 21 Apr 2011 10:34

I've seen them everywhere in the UK for a few weeks.

Posted by LeGoB12A21 in Canada, 22 Apr 2011 09:58

Coles book store in Sarnia, ON have the minifigures.A week ago I went and picked up 21 series 4 minifigures(i missed counted, i was going to get a full set for me and 6 for a friends birthday)using the feel method. I picked up all of them exept the frankenstien. There were plenty there and the lady said she think she has another box.

Posted by legokenny in United States, 22 Apr 2011 15:47

Thanks, I got them to pull a box from the back today. They let me feel for the ones I wanted and they took the rest to the back cause they said there was no place for them on the floor yet. I wonder why they are waiting so long to put them out?

Posted by rainstorm26 in United States, 22 Apr 2011 15:52

TRU you can BOGO 50% off so they come to $2.25 a piece. I wanted to buy a whole box sort through and then return the ones I didn't want, but could only find a box which had 48 that hadn't been rifled through.
