    Valid Friday (4/29) thru' Saturday (4/30), Buy One Get One 50% Off all LEGO Bionicle, Prince of Persia, Space Police and Power Miners construction sets.  With PoP, SP III, and Power Miners having been discontinued, this might be your last chance to pick up some of these sets. While the sale will likely be valid online as well, the pickings are already very slim there.

Maybe this is my chance to get the PoP market. I've been waiting for it to go on sale on S@H. I could buy the $30 PoP set and get a $30 or less Power miners set for half off, right?

So this is basically the same type of deal Lego's doing. TRU's trying to get rid of Prince of Persia, Space Police 3, Power Miners, and Bionicle so they can fill their shelves with the new City, Pirates of the Carribean, and Alien Conquest.

@Zachula - Correct! :)

@Zackula: The only power miner set on TRU.com is the titanium command rig. I have seen others in stores, it will just depend on what your local TRU is carrying.

@teal93mr2: Have you seen any of the Power Miners that are below $30 at your TRU?

TRU has "clearance" of SP3 sets, however they are all MSRP.

@Zackula: I have seen the 8189 Mine Mech and the 8190 Claw Catcher recently.

on the last BOGO 50% sale I purchase the new Pirates $79.95 set and pick up the Power Miner titanium command rig set for $37ish. It had been reduced to $69.95. The pop sets were not so generously reduced as the Power Miners.

@teal93mr2: Thanks for the info. I'll probably skip this sale and save up for the medieval market village.

On an unrelated note, most of the sets that disappeared after last week are not only back on TRU's website, but many of them including the death star are in stock.

To advertise ALL, and then remove part of the inventory should be illegal. D#$#b TRU!

also, if you're a TRU rewards member, today is the end of the 3 month earning cycle... meaning that tomorrow, your purchase totals are reset back to zero for earning rewards. you can check your rewards online.

^ Thanks for the heads up. Just checked and I'm $4.38 away from earning my next $5. Guess I have to go spend $5 to get $5 back. Sounds like a good transaction to me.

Anyone in the US fancy picking me up a couple of fight for the daggers/ostrich races and sending them over?

Have there still been bionicles floating around? I haven't seen any on the shelves of target and walmart in ages. I'm sad about power miners being discontinued - my boys loved it. I did score the galactic tranport from space police for half off at my local target. They had sixteen of them and two days later there was only one and I got it.
