if someone from the UK could get me one....and let me know what US item they would like in trade, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'd be willing. Contact me via my profile.

...A white border collie? :P

Anyways, this set has a lot of creativity behnd it as opposed to other modular (Creator) houses.

Posted by beefygrefe in United States, 11 May 2011 15:48

@ Vamproe - pretty sure this will come out in the states, it'll just proly take a few more days/weeks. I haven't quite pegged the release schedule Lego is using, this year, since we've gotten such a scatter-shot of new product so early, but I'm pretty sure this house was at the US toy fair in NY, which pretty much means we'll see it hit our shores. You just need to wait a bit longer if you want to get it at your local toy shop.

^ Maybe he's just impatient!

^^^^ Just to clarify - the status is 'Preorder this item today, will ship by 10 Jun 2011' I may be able to get you one at TRU though.

It's a Scottie, of course! :D

need projects to keep my daughter and I busy on rainy summer days / weekends.

Yay, can't wait for when it is in the US. Im so bored with no new sets I like. Also can't wait for the new Technic sets

Spotted in TRU (Bristol) on Monday. Don't like the dog wish they just included a nornmal looking dog same with the seagul in the lighthouse set. I suppose it's a creator set so that's why they did it like that. I can always put anoither dog in.

Posted by Seagull in United States, 11 May 2011 17:14

I believe it is a Brickenese Shitzu.

Posted by bsmarthen in United States, 11 May 2011 17:51

It looks like it has a ringing door bell.

Just checked lego.com in the uk. All the lego city sets [except power boat truck] are for preorder as well as the Alien conquest. Both the lighthouse and hillside house are also online but I believe they are both preorder too.

Posted by Si_Dorking_Surrey in United Kingdom, 11 May 2011 18:03

Amazon UK says availability will be from 1 June, with free postage but same price.

Posted by jonboy2000 in United Kingdom, 11 May 2011 20:07

TRU Croydon had the power boat and the dock on the shelves. They were tucked away in a bad location with various other stuff at the front of the store. None in the front Lego section or on the back wall. Also no Alien Conquest to be seen

Posted by Jillerbean in United States, 11 May 2011 21:56

It's a Westie!

Posted by brickzone in Ireland, 12 May 2011 03:43

Available for pre-order in Ireland too, ditto for the Lighthouse. For a Creator set, the price:brick ratio on the latter seems high with the price here being €46.99.

Who cares about the dog??? I like the BBQ best!!! :-)

Posted by pyrokld in United States, 12 May 2011 06:49

No idea what kind of dog it is, but guessing it's name is Archie. ^_^

Posted by legolasher66 in United States, 12 May 2011 09:08

I wonder if the doorbell sounds the same as the Alien Conquest Mothership?!! Also, I love it how they used a feather for the clippers! GENIUS! (I think the dog is a funny looking pug.)

Finally getting a good look at this set, I just have to say that it looks TERRIBLE (IMO). I generally love these houses and have multiples of most but this one simply looks horrendous and juniorized to me. In contrast, the lighthouse looks incredible. While I'm disappointed, it's probably for the best because my wallet can't take any more. :o)

Jillerbean is correct (I'm a veterinarian and that's my professional opinion!)

Posted by lukywalker in Switzerland, 12 May 2011 12:01

Yeah, it's a Westie, no doubt about that! Nice set! I Wonder what new piece is in minifig's left hand? Looks like scissors? Hope the house will be "full"!!!

Posted by modena in Italy, 12 May 2011 12:21

Nice dog!

Posted by keithkram in United Kingdom, 12 May 2011 13:27

@lukywalker the part in the minfigs hand is a set of feathers

Posted by kor in United States, 12 May 2011 13:28

I agree with Yellowcastle. Just not feeling this one...

Posted by AETerry in United States, 12 May 2011 14:32

I'd call it a Brickland Terrier.

It'd be nice to get a house model... This one, Cabin... 2010 model all look good. Just... which one. If it's too high of a price, I am not buying it. There's other models I want first.

Thiking about it, it's way too similar to 4996 beach house in my opinion

Reading about this set makes me want it more and more, the '5766: Log Cabin' and '5770: Lighthouse Island' have my eye too. Perhaps I should buy all three. Have our wallets been hurt enough though?

Posted by aplbomr79 in United States, 12 May 2011 23:41

I am with Yellowcastle, for a Creator Series set, this is well below par. The most recent Creator Homes are unbelievable - this is bland at best. I will still purchase as it does have potential - it is LEGO, after all!

Posted by Seagull in United States, 13 May 2011 20:22

Gosh, this set does look pretty ugly. :(

Posted by Plastic_Nurak_80 in Italy, 16 May 2011 11:30

I've seen it friday in the LEGOLAND LEGO Shop in Billund. Sadly, for some problem too long to explain here, I didn't buy it :( .
