The Summer 2011 sets are starting to arrive in the UK LEGO Brand Stores.

This week saw the arrival in-store of the 'Alien Conquest' sets (including the battlepack), the 'City Harbour' sets, Creator Lighthouse & Hillside House sets, new 'Castle' sets, the architecture-series 'Burj Khalifa-Dubai', as well as new Duplo sets. I don't think the new Technic sets have arrived yet.

Not surprisingly, no sign of the new Star Wars sets yet; they are expected in a couple of weeks time. No Cars sets yet either.

Has Alien Conquest been spotted in any shop other than Toys R Us?

Posted by Fishbone in Switzerland, 20 May 2011 13:41

They were unpacking the new Cars sets in the Geneva Manor shop yesterday... So I went back today to buy Flo's Café and Big Bentley... and my jaws dropped when I saw the Sith Infiltrator on the bottom shelf !!! And my eyes went up and stopped for a good two minutes on the Millenium Falcon :) OMG all the new Star Wars sets were available except the Geonosian Starfighter !!! Difficult to choose which one to buy, all the Cars and SW sets are very expensive here in Switzerland. So I went home With Flo's Café, MF and Ewok attack :) It will be a great building weekend !!!

@brix - I spotted them putting AC sets out in Westfield LEGO store, London.

@thesinisterpenguin - thankyou, i'm going to London tomorrow

As I said up top, the AC sets are in all the UK LEGO Brand stores (Milton Keynes, Bluewater, Brighton, London Westfield & Cardiff)

In Germany, the Cars Sets were available and parts of Alien Conquest too. Checked today.

We've had CARS in Singapore for about a week now, but none of the other sets yet. My rep said the Alien Conquest sets may not be out until July here :(

I bought 8201 radiator springs on a whim in the states at the weekend because I wnated something to build. I'm not a cars fan particularly but this is a great little set.

Stopped off at John Lewis on Oxford Street (London) on the way home from work and saw that they have the new Harry Potter and Alien Conquest sets so picked up the ones I wanted. Then decided to go to the Lego store at Westfield to get the other new sets, mainly Kingdoms and the AC battlepack, which i'd been saving my VIP points for. The Westfield store is well stocked with the new releases.

Any idea when any of the supermarket stores or Argos will have them? I have £75 with AC's name on it...

I have a feeling it's going to be a while before we see the new Technic sets, a good month or two yet... I wish they'd bring them out a little bit earlier :/

John Lewis now have Alien Conquest listed on their website -

Still no new Harry Potter or City, more's the pity...

@bluemoose, are the AC battleback minifig bodies Danish or Chinese, then?

Posted by marcbowyer001 in United Kingdom, 22 May 2011 12:41

Does anyone know where i can get the new Kingdoms sets in the uk?

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 22 May 2011 13:55

^ Er, the LEGO shops, like I said at the top.

^^ You want me to open the pack ?!?! OK, hang on a mo' ... the fig bodies have got the arm indentations, so probably from China. Comparing with the AC figs from the other sets, the surface finish is about the same, the plastic feels very similar & are of very similar opacity & colour. There are very minor differences in the torso printing, but the smoothness of the motion at the shoulder & the wrist is a give away - the battlepack sourced figs feel a little too loose at the shoulder and very rough/steppy at the wrist. So, a huge improvement over the Pirates battlepacks from a couple of years back, but still not *quite* up to the same standard as a 'proper' minifigs.

I found the Alien Conquest and Harry Potter Knight Bus in John Lewis, yesterday.
Legoland also have Alien Conquest, but didn't see the new HP sets on Sun, they did have Cars sets though.
