Other sites have been showing pictures of this for some time, but I thought I'd wait until some official images became available. Skyhopper sent us a link to a German shop that has the set listed together with some hi-res pictures.

And in related news, CDC in Slovenia says that the City Advent calendar is on the shelves already, and it's not even July yet!

Thanks for the official images, Huw.

Some lovely little ships, but what a bizarre selection of figures; it's almost as if LEGO had a surplus of certain minifigs and decided to throw them in. Surely this was crying out for more of the 'classic' figs - Vader. R2-D2, threepio, Leia etc..

Still a 'must buy' for fans, though.....

I for one am glad that they are including a Clone Pilot, they are quite hard to get your hands on and tend to only appear in expensive sets, hopefully if these flood the marketplace then people will start selling them for more reasonable prices. Aside from the Minifigures I quite like the look of most of the ships, particularly the X-Wing.

Oh, I'm buying this for sure. A bunch of cute little ships and vehicles and an interesting selection of minifigs. And not forgetting - a Father Christmas Yoda. I'm buying this as soon as it's available.

(I really wish LEGO hadn't cancelled the Star Wars Mini line. They were some of my favourite sets - the Minis. Very cute and swooshable.)

Love it! This will definitely counting me down to Christmas day. Love the mini vehicles and Santa Yoda is just such a good and cute idea. I also have the Kingdoms and City calendars from last year (bought in sale) to open alongside this too. Its going to be a very Lego Christmas.

Any ideas on the price? Are the minifigs, the regular size?

Posted by legolasher66 in United States, 19 Jun 2011 08:39

I LOVE the A-wing in this set! I made one myself when I thought there was no hope in them making a mini one, and yet here it is! Yay!

What about the news that it is in Slovenia in stores right now? Can we than expect it in other countries in EU soon?

Posted by war44lock in New Zealand, 19 Jun 2011 09:51

Really? Zev Sanesca? Why? I have like three of him. All the same. I mean he was in a battle pack! Come on!

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 19 Jun 2011 10:14

The mini Slave 1 and the x-mas Yoda look so cool! I want this.

Posted by voypro in United States, 19 Jun 2011 10:26

NICE WILL BUY. Since the normal advent calendar cost $35 I am guessing could run as high as $45. (tru price of $48ish?)

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 19 Jun 2011 13:33

Wow that looks pretty cool! I wasn't thrilled with the mini's at first, but now I am really looking forward to this! Maybe Lego will stop at the price of 35$, as the prices have been going up 5$ a year, and this is a SW set. I agree that the selection of fig's is a bit strange, (not that I don't want them, I've been waiting for years for a inexpensive set with Chewbacca)
P.S. These usually come out in July???

For those asking about the price - 40 USD / 50 CAD

FORTY DOLLARS FOR LESS THAN 300 PIECES?! Dang, I was hoping for maybe twenty! Forty dollars is ridiculous!

Posted by voypro in United States, 19 Jun 2011 15:46

for those who have not ever done the advent calendar before. It is very cool. I would recommend it as a gift from a significant-other of a lego collector. Or if you have kids. Kids love to find out what new thing they can build on each of the days through the holidays. It is a gift that keeps itself new exciting for 25 days.

Posted by mrloony in United States, 19 Jun 2011 16:10

40$ is actually a good price for an advent calandar. Especially a theme.

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 19 Jun 2011 16:50

40 DOLLARS?!?! 'Sigh' Guess no advent calender for me this year. At this rate of 5$ increase a year, in 2023 these will be 100$! Wait, SW is a licensed theme so maybe the city advent calender will stay at 35$?

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 19 Jun 2011 17:47

$50? That's way too high, even for a licensed theme. $40, maybe, but $50 is too high. I wanted too get it, but I don't know if my budget stretches that far, with all these new sets that I want to get now.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 19 Jun 2011 19:41

$40 bucks... 35 cause it is an advent calendar (which is already a rip) and then tack on another 5-10 USD due to it being SW... ...Pass.

Posted by flump in United Kingdom, 19 Jun 2011 20:03

Love it - worth every penny!

I know technically the advent calendar has and should only have 24 doors to open, but in recent years we've become spoilt at home with our 25-door choccie calendars. What could I use for Day 25? I know! An SSD!!!

Posted by yys4u in United States, 20 Jun 2011 02:13

Am I the only one that thinks this is horrible?? Mind you I'm bias cause I don't collect SW, and never had an advent, but I really want to own one, and been looking for an excuse to get SW sets, but this doesn't cut it. The yoda, yea he's pretty cool, and pilot clone trooper..I guess if you guys say he's rare I'll accept that and want him too. But the rest are bleh, and the mini scale ships? not my thing, I'd rather have a buildable turret, (as in the ones the snow troopers use) or maybe like a buildable throne for yoda or a vader if they had one. If there is 24 elements I'd like to see the rest, maybe they got more appealing figs, although I doubt it. Seems logical to put the most appealing figs on the box to get the most buyers. This looks bad. I'm passing.

And 40 bucks? get real.

Posted by Bee815 in United States, 20 Jun 2011 09:40

@yys4u: I rarely collect Star Wars too, I'm in your boat. (Not literally, that would be awkward) But the minis were at one point sets that people wanted to get. Plus, if this is the same as previous advent calanders, there will be 9 minifigs. We still have 3 minifigs we don't know yet, plus the possiblility of more. Although, actually I agree with you. There isn't enough stuff (bricks, parts, minifigs, cupcakes) to pass, although I may try to buy a few figs later.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 20 Jun 2011 11:10

The screen shots show the 24 sets in the calendar, so I am not sure what people are meaning by there is more.. I do not believe so, what you see is what you get, and again for the price that it will most likely cost? It is not really worth it IMO

This calendar looks pretty good, Iam surprised they didn't start doing this earlier. Some of the mini ships are quite awesome e.g mini slave I,, Mini x wing and Y wing plus the yoda santa is cool as well. I expect the price in the uk will probably be around £25.99- £30.99

Posted by IamLegoman1475 in United States, 20 Jun 2011 22:24

I like it. Guy I want really is Chewie. Never had one before.
Pilot would be good
The Stormtrooper pilot looks cool.
I'd really want to have a Black colored Droid.
Yoda Santa looks fine, not bad, you even get the lightsaber.
The minis looks all awesome

just seen this on the smyths toys site for release on 20th july for £24.99 check it out

Posted by moloko in United States, 21 Jun 2011 16:55

I dont get why the yoda is considered cool. LOL. i know its an opinion thing. I not sure if I want this. I like the mini models but wish there were better figs in it.

I rather have a kingdoms again. heck i rather have a space themed one.

Posted by sharky in United States, 22 Jun 2011 15:33

@ moloko: Santa Yoda is a nod to the Official Lucasfilm Christmas card featuring Yoda dressed as Santa. It was also made into an action figure IIRC.
