Is this just for UK? And whoa, 90 bucks normally... it's gotta be huge!

Do you think there will ever be the means of buying through Amazon.co.uk rather than .com? It's listed in the UK but 'currently unavailable'.

For customers like me in the UK, this will save you some clicks. I just ordered and found yes, you have to order through Amazon.com rather than .co.uk, but you still can use your regular account settings.

Cost of book in GBP: 43.73
Three delivery options available:
Standard (takes 18-32 days) costs 5.06, grand total 48.79
Expedited (8 - 16 days) costs 7.91, total 51.64
Priority (2-4 days) costs a whopping 19.32. total 63.05

Given it's printed on demand, be interesting to see when it arrives.

A nasty thought: hope Customs don't hit me with a charge on arrival.

@richselby - There's no duty or VAT to pay for books imported into the UK.

Saw in another forum, that this is available in Lulu.com as digital material for ONLY 20 dollars. BUT the catch is if you read carefully is that it is in adobe pdf digital rights version. Which works only on a PC or Mac, and some sony devices. Does NOT work on any apple ipad/ipod or even kindle. That is a bummer since if it works on an iPad, I will surely just get the digital version.

You can easily strip the pdf drm if you do some google searches on the subject

Then you can use stanza on your ipad or iphone to view the guide.

Technically illegal in the US because of the DMCA, but within the fair use rights we are _supposed_ to have for copyrighted material. :-P

$70USD? No thank you. I love LEGO, but for $70 I can purchase a lot of LEGO!

I'll just keep waiting for an iPad version.

coupon code for Lulu good until july 29: TIME305 will save you 25% on any order. so that's $5 off the $20 if you choose to do so.

You can use the Bluefire Reader on the iPad to read the Adobe DRM-protected PDF legally. Its a free app and if you buy the book using the coupon code TIME305 on Lulu, it is a real fair price for this fantastic book.

RE: Bluefire reader. Has ANYONE done this? With this ebook, I mean. The reason I asked is that there was another so called sure fire way to read your digital book with a similar program called txtr; Did not work because the PDF of minifigure guide was too large.

So again I want to hear from someone that has used Bluefire reader with the MiniFigure ebook. Anyone?

Posted by ceram in Germany, 28 Jul 2011 00:28

@voypro - I bought the book yesterday and installed it on the Bluefire-Reader on my IPad and it definitely works fine. You have to create an Adobe-ID, authorize the Bluefire Reader and you can copy the PDF on the iPad using iTunes.

I can confirm that BlueFire for iPhone loads the guide, and that the drm can be removed using intept for use with any other eBook reader you might choose, although so far BlueFire seems to handle pdf books better than any others I've tried. I assume that the iPad wouldn't have any trouble since my iPhone can load it.

For those of us interested in paper:
I ordered Jul 26, got a notice from Amazon saying they'd shipped Jul 28, as in it only takes two days to print off and pack. Now wonder how long delivery will take.
