Smashing Bricks has scoured the Internet for rumours of 2012 sets and summarised them in one post. I won't repeat it here so head on over and see what you'll be spending your hard-earned on next year.

i know they are rumours, lol, but no hint of 2012 technic sets, lego will have to do something special to beat this years releases.

I am ready for next year!

Posted by yys4u in United States, 13 Aug 2011 17:44

Nothing looks exciting to me personally, except super heroes of course. Kinda disappointed the girl theme won't feature traditional minifigs, I might have picked up a couple sets just to get more girl figs.

Posted by legomaniac in United States, 13 Aug 2011 17:47

The City sets sound interesting. Hope there is a new Technic bike next year

Posted by Nightshroud99 in Canada, 13 Aug 2011 17:48

Some seem unlikely, why would they have another Sebulbas podracer? Or another Naboo Starfighter??

Posted by SapmiSatan in Norway, 13 Aug 2011 18:02

No Pirates of the Caribbean? Oh, well. I actually think it's ok if I don't have to worry about Harry Potter and Pirates next year, because I'll be wanting all of those DC sets! Unfortunately, Star Wars seems to be picking up, so I guess I'll have to get the new TIE fighters... If the new Rebel fighters are any good, I might be fooled to get them too... Hopefully, they're "meh".

Posted by Kalhiki in United States, 13 Aug 2011 18:03

No news of HF yet :( . Not interested in much. I'll see how Ninjago turns out, but personally, I like this years sets better, and I may not get any more Ninjago sets. Lloyd Garmadon? Seriously? And Lord Garmadon is fighting with the ninjas? Blech. Also not interested in Superheroes currently. Not the action figures anyway. I'll have to see the sets before I decide. And I really don't colect anything else mentioned there.

Posted by mokey2345 in United Kingdom, 13 Aug 2011 18:08

city set's seem that their isn't alot of effort put into some of the police and fire set;s next year...definate looking forward to the quad bike transporter and car+caravan, also ninjago sound like somthing saving some money for aswell, have to do alot of work around the house in order to get some lego next year :)

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 13 Aug 2011 18:10

@Nightshroud99 - No, these 'planet' sets are probably going to be minis, but with a Minifigure unlike the old ones.

Posted by Titan in United States, 13 Aug 2011 20:28

Darn, no new Kingdom or Alien Conquest sets?.... :(

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 13 Aug 2011 20:38

You know, these rumours sound too "real" to be untrue. If these are true, then I'm extremely excited for 2012!!!

Posted by Zrath in United States, 13 Aug 2011 21:13

I'm pleased to see Commando Droids listed under the Star Wars sets. Those clankers are bad-ass!
The Heavy Lift Police Helicopter also sounds interesting.

Posted by M-Tron Hero Kodiak in United States, 13 Aug 2011 22:08

I am very excited to see a theme that is forest fire related. Seeing how I am a state employer firefighter that fights forest fighters. I hope the sets include some plants and animals as well. I will end up getting all the fire ones, but I hope the color isn't red. I would like to see green like the US Forest Service. But any color in green or red will be nice.

Posted by CaptainJonnyBoy in United States, 13 Aug 2011 22:10

I really have my sights set on the ARC Troopers VS Commando Droid battle pack, as well as the Geonosian Cannon, hopefully these rumors turn out to be true, then I can add Gree to my Clone forces... Star Wars is all I'm after, nothing else deserves my hard-earned cash. As a matter of fact, only prequel and Clone Wars sets catch my fancy, so I get to keep more of my dough.

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 13 Aug 2011 22:14

Yay! More fire sets in other branches!

Posted by 18000pieces in United States, 13 Aug 2011 23:10

I'll be bummed if there aren't any new Harry Potter sets. The theme has so much potential to continue. Ah well, I was beginning to run out of shelf space for it anyway.

Hopefully I can use the money I save on the lack of HP sets to pick up some Super Heroes sets. Since I already have a bunch of Batman, I think Supes and the Avengers interest me most, but of course I want to see the sets first.

Star Wars we already knew about, but I'll just say again; PORKINS!

Forest City sounds like a nice break from the endless rehashes of the regular fire/police that we get every other year, but I probably won't buy any.

NinjaGo I still find... odd. Very, very odd. I guess it appeals to its demographic though, so bully for them.

I've anticipated a Disney Princesses theme ever since they created the new installations at the LEGO Imagination Center in Downtown Disney; however, the fact that they're DUPLO is a little surprising to me.

Posted by Ypres in Canada, 13 Aug 2011 23:19

Well just because there are no rumours about HP and Pirates.o.t.C doesn't mean we won't see anything in 1212. Besides... nothing there was listed about Castle anyway. Licence stuff I expect to be kept a little more under wraps.

Forrest City sounds good. Hopefully they'll be more trees like in the kingdoms and Harry Potter sets (ones built from blocks).

I'm very happy to hear rumours about a possible re-vamp of Dino Attack. I missed the last theme and would very much like improved sets over buying old ones since modern sets are 1000% better.

Posted by CaptainJonnyBoy in United States, 13 Aug 2011 23:43

Yeah... Everyone was sooooo bummed when Dino Attack ended, but with all the new pieces Lego has developed since then, this new one should be waaaaay better, barring prices. Hopefully they do a good job, and can make it last longer than one wave.

Posted by spency13 in United States, 13 Aug 2011 23:58

Well, there's still a chance HP will keep goin!!....

Posted by camaro365 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 00:17

Anyone heard about new Technic sets?

Posted by grandbuilder2001 in United Kingdom, 14 Aug 2011 02:23

@Ypres: Do you mean 2012?
I think that ninjago theme is partly true. On lego wikia there's a poster for ninjago 2012 with a picture of a snake on it .

Posted by xcrossx in United Kingdom, 14 Aug 2011 04:42

I agree with Kalhiki that changing the main bad guy in Ninjago from Lord Garmadon to Lloyd is maybe one of the stupidest things I've ever heard! What's the green Ninja going to be called? Trevor? I will be looking forward to him though, he'll go well with the others in my display!
I'm only really interested in figures nowadays so hoping the Star Wars sets will throw out a few new ones. I think we're seeing a Queen Amidala arent we?
The Super Heroes will be one for me as I only got a few of the first Batman series which I was disappointed about and I'm not paying the stupid prices people are charging for them now!
I'm sure there will be plenty more sets than the ones shown here however I do wish sometimes that they'd have a year with no new sets to give me chance to save up some money and catch up on the sets I want!!!!

Posted by vwong19 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 04:55

I hope all the those Batman vs sets include Batman in a different costume.

I still have plenty of sets to pick up from this year before it is over.... ouch.

Posted by cody6268 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 07:49

The Star Wars sets (9674, 9675, 9676) with a hollow planet, buildable minifigure, and mini vehicle , I wonder if the hollow planet is buildable of will it be a container to hold the parts like the Creator Minis and Tiny Turbos? And I am also an ambulance is coming out in the City line next year.

Posted by mokey2345 in United Kingdom, 14 Aug 2011 09:09

im confused on why their is only an ambulance all by it's self ?,hopefully they will bring back the hospital theme again because we havent seen one since 2006 :(

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 14 Aug 2011 09:37

Good to know everything this early, so you can start planning for the future.

Posted by blazetrooper501 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 09:55

I think queen amidala might come in a set later in 2012 cause I see no sets she would be in.

Posted by BooMakuta! in United States, 14 Aug 2011 10:13

I want all the Star Wars and Ninjago sets!

Posted by Krataka15792 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 10:49

No HF makes me sad, even though I know its still running next year.

The DC Action Figures look like Future Shelf Warmers. although some parts are very interesting and its possible that they reflect breifly on next year's HF sets. If their are two DC sets I will get next year, It will be Batman vs. Joker and Superman vs. Lex Luthor. I never had the chance to buy any of the Batman sets, and I'm still dissapointed. I have a lot of Spiderman, and thats what will drive me into getting some more Marvel sets.

Those Star Wars sets about hollow planets with minifigs seem very interesting, and I'd like to see some of those sets. I might just get the Tie Fighter, but seeing how the past Tie Fighters have gone, this one is most likely to be $50-$80, if not, more, but that's just my guess.

No Ninjago whatsoever, although it is doing fairly well. The fact that Lord Garmadon is fighting on the Ninja side is...well, I don't know the word for it, but Lloyd Garmadon sounds stupid. Snake Men, though, sounds very intruiging.

Posted by Dodge in Canada, 14 Aug 2011 11:02

I like the list so far. I know I'll go broke getting most of the Super-hero sets and I've gotten back into SW which will take it's toll on me too. The absence of any Green Lantern sets is concerning, but i'm sure they'll be in a second wave or something like that.

A lot of the City stuff doesn't seem that exciting to me (yet). They'll be a wait and see before I get to wrapped up in them.

I am interesting in seeing that "Battle of Hoth" game though! Mini AT-AT's would be pretty cool!

Posted by tontonsega in France, 14 Aug 2011 11:22

The good new is that fire and police series are come back in 2012....long time we haven't see them! (--)
Except car & caravan and dirt bike transporter, ther's nothing who make me crazy.
Waiting for an official list.

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 14 Aug 2011 11:36

I think it's a good thing for me that not much here interests me except the superheroes line. I was hoping this year's Star Wars sets would be the best for me, and they certainly are. The winter line doesn't sound like it has much exciting except maybe the Geonosian Cannon and Queen Amidala. I too am sad that the Harry Potter line is not listed. :-(

Posted by surfboy100 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 11:46

I like all the city sets! I think I'll get the new ambulance first.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 14 Aug 2011 12:48

Sounds like no Hospital though (an ambulance does not count...lol)

Posted by QwertyLEGO in United States, 14 Aug 2011 13:05

sounds awesome! cant wait!

Posted by brixton in Canada, 14 Aug 2011 13:08

The superhero line looks great. I guess that's where my money will be going in 2012. I only want the minifigures but I'm interested in seeing what sets they come out with and the prices. That will determine which ones I get. I'm not too keen on the Dino them and will skip it.

The Creator Summer House sounds interesting. Hopefully it is an improvement over this year's sets. I was disappointed with this year's Creator houses. The Log Cabin was the worst of the housing sets while Hillside House seems too expensive for the brick count when compared to previous Creator house sets. If I feel the Summer House is overpriced like Hillside House, I'll probably pass. The Safari set sounds interesting too but I'm not the least bit interested in the Police set. There are so many fire and police LEGO sets, do we really need this in the Creator line?

Speaking of fire and police, the forest spin on these sub-themes of the City theme is interesting. Since there are so many LEGO police and fire sets out there, I think I'll pass though. I'm excited about the Ambulance. I will definitely get that. Hopefully a hospital will follow suit in 2013.

I'm disappointed that Alien Conquest isn't listed. That is a very popular theme this year. I was hoping for some new AC sets next year, so I have a bit more variety in terms of sets and minifigures when creating Alien Conquest brickfilms (stop-motion LEGO movies).

Posted by bionicle212 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 13:56

New dino sets?! MUST. GET. DINOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TLG better come out with those dinos, I missed out on most dino sets. but if this comes to be real, I can finally make a jurassic park stop motion!

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 14 Aug 2011 14:49

@brixton - There are a few themes which aren't listed which they will probably release more sets for such as Hero Factory so I wouldn't worry.

Posted by grandbuilder2001 in United Kingdom, 14 Aug 2011 14:55

I'm definitely getting a super heroes set!!

Posted by cody6268 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 15:05

I think that since this is just a preliminary list there is a chance of the continuance of the emergency subtheme of City

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 14 Aug 2011 15:28

These are all rumours; the list is unlikely to be 100% complete or 100% accurate, and of course LEGO are perfectly at liberty to change their mind between now & then. Just treat it as a bit of fun; that's what I'm doing :-)

Posted by Krataka15792 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 15:37

A thought just came to me: Now I know that the list may or may not be accurate, but is it possible that the Construction sets come with a minifig version of themselves? My reason for this is because there are no Green Lantern sets listed, and yet a Green Lantern Minifig will be released in a set. There's a Blue "Adam-West" type Batman Minifig and yet the only batman construction set is blue. It's just a thought, though.

Posted by Jon_Brick in Canada, 14 Aug 2011 16:55

I really want Gree, Arc troopers and commando droids.

Posted by mars4life in United States, 14 Aug 2011 17:00

I didnt think that Ninjago could get any worse than it is currently, but after reading this I now know I was wrong.

Posted by skipper1011 in United States, 14 Aug 2011 20:46

I have not read all the comments yet so this may sound a bit repetitive, but I was wondering if anyone knows if HF 4.0 is even coming out. If anyone has information please let me know.

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 14 Aug 2011 20:58

I assume Smashing Bricks meant trawling and not trolling... :o)

Posted by duilim in Australia, 14 Aug 2011 22:38

Well it's hard not to feel excited about next year, and I haven't yet finished collecting the sets I want for this year! I understand people wanting HP and PotC to continue - I'm a huge HP fan myself but to be honest, I will be quite relieved if it doesn't. I can see the new Superheroes and Star Wars theme taking up most of next year's budget and if HP and PotC were to continue, I'd quite literally go broke.
Apart from that, all I can say is, bring on 2012!

Posted by Damian Conci in Argentina, 14 Aug 2011 23:06

say ... there is a 80% chance to relaunch the 10185 and 10182 ... see if it is true

Posted by Nate the Great of LEGO in United States, 15 Aug 2011 09:59

Please let those Cars sets be real!

Posted by Andhe in United Kingdom, 15 Aug 2011 12:20

The forest police/fire could be fun. Anything that brings new animal moulds is a plus in my book. Hope there will be a ranger style hat and deer mould.

Posted by DarthLuke824 in United Kingdom, 15 Aug 2011 15:10

Star Wars looks like a great year! Can't wait! And new dinos? Great, i really miss Dino 2010. :)

Posted by railroad18764 in United States, 15 Aug 2011 18:43

Does any one know where I can find pictures of the city sets?

Posted by coolpix in United States, 15 Aug 2011 21:02

@brixton - Log Cabin was actually a great set for the price, plus, it comes with a Minifigure, which is the first time I see a Minifig on a Creator set (correct me if I am wrong). It is a simple minifigure, but I like it. I also got the Apple Tree House (I know it's a 2010 set), which is also great. Have not got Hillside House yet, so I can't comment on that set.

@Damian Conci - Where did you saw that? It would be awesome, but I doubt Lego would re-release those anytime soon, not to say ever...

Posted by wunztwice in United States, 16 Aug 2011 01:00

Actually very excited to see the forest fire sets, seeing as I am a wildland firefighter... ;)

Posted by gertjan68 in Netherlands, 16 Aug 2011 04:06

Would love to see a new ambulance coming. Healthcare is so underrepresented in City.... Can't wait to see that one hit the shelves.....
Creator sets are also great to have, especially if they are small sets for small pockets (trying to teach my kids the value of money... :)

it is time for a new hospital !

Posted by bionicle212 in United States, 16 Aug 2011 10:09

does anyone know where I can get pictures of the new sets?

Posted by legomaniac101 in United States, 16 Aug 2011 12:30

No alien conquest!?!? :0 Why you little scardy cat six year olds whose parents complained to LEGO that those sets where to scary!

Posted by QwertyLEGO in United States, 16 Aug 2011 14:00

no alien conquest or atlantis, I hope they come up with a new underwater theme, or a new alien theme

Posted by Damian Conci in Argentina, 16 Aug 2011 17:08

Hi Coolpix, my english is very poor.... sorry

Posted by CaptainJonnyBoy in United States, 16 Aug 2011 20:56

MUST...HAVE...COMMANDO DROIDS! ARC TROOPERS! GREEEEEE!

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 17 Aug 2011 09:44

remember, this list is only part of the sets for next year, just because the theme you want isn't listed, doesnt mean it there arent any of them being made.

Hope there are lots of trees and animals in forest theme.

Posted by mirandir in Sweden, 17 Aug 2011 16:03

@LEGOlas1: Not by a longshot. They're replacing Belville with a modern version of Paradisa. Only difference is that the figs aren't squareish midgets...!

Posted by railroad18764 in United States, 17 Aug 2011 18:40

The city sounds cool. :)

Posted by Starwarsgeek500 in United States, 18 Aug 2011 11:32

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COMMANDO DROIDS! And a Republic artillery cannon, a geonosian one, Gree, ARC Troopers, Mini Planets, TIEs, Amidala, etc.

Posted by lego lego lego in United Kingdom, 18 Aug 2011 12:15

On youtube I saw a picture of the cannon some people said it was fake but it probely was not.

Most of the sets sound good

Posted by CaptainJonnyBoy in United States, 18 Aug 2011 20:39

It was fake. It was so obviously fake. I saw it, and they were saying it was a "Geonosian battlepack" instead of Geonosian Cannon, plus it came with 3 geonosians and no sign of Bariss or Gree. You could also tell it was fake because of the box art, it was the Rex on Blue instead of Darth Maul. There were none of Lego's signature lasers flying around on the box, and the minifig on the top were it says "actual size" had his feet dangling on Rex's head. Again, fake fake fake.

Posted by KLOKRIECHER in Germany, 19 Aug 2011 14:14

@lego lego lego

I also thougt it was fake when I saw it. But I'm sure that we'll get more informations and pictures in the next months. ;-)

Posted by krysto2002 in United States, 20 Aug 2011 03:40

If I'm not mistaken, "Kokarikoo" is the french equivalent of Cockadoodledoo. In fact, from what I've heard, French and Americans argue over which a rooster really sounds like :P Guess the point is that I'll bet it has something to do with Roosters.

Posted by youngtom in United States, 20 Aug 2011 23:06

i wish there would be a lego city trail in the forest subtheme, you know like these people got lost & a rescue team helicopter is trying to find them. I'd buy THAT one.

Posted by sarlacc98 in United Kingdom, 20 Aug 2011 23:12

Mostvof the star wars sets don't sound to good. Can't wait for actual pocs though. I hope the bring back Jabbas sail barge.
