Win £25 to spend at FireStar Toys!

  • Win £25 to spend at FireStar Toys!

Posted by Huw, 15 Aug 2011 13:31. Filed under Brickset.

Brickset has teamed up with FireStar Toys to bring you a chance to win £25 (about US$40) to spend at the FireStar website.

All you have to do is look at the mystery picture on the competition page and try and work out what it is. To give you a clue, I can tell you that it's LEGO-related and for sale at FireStar :-)

Entry is open to everyone: FireStar ship worldwide. The competition is open until 10th September, and the winner will be drawn at random from the correct entries received by then. Please read the full Ts&Cs on the competion page before entering. Good luck!

Wow this is a great idea Huw, and lots of fun (we should do more competitions)! I'd actually never heard of FireStar Toys, but searching through all of their products, I can say I like it!
I'm pretty sure I found the picture, after a lot of searching! I wonder how many more will find it. Good luck guys! ;)

Posted by obisky in United States, 15 Aug 2011 14:21

Is it the first person to find it that wins? Or is it just a random person who found it... because I found it :P

Posted by BrickBob09 in United Kingdom, 15 Aug 2011 14:26

@obisky; As the T&C's say "One £25 will be awarded to the first person picked at random from valid entries." So I presume the winner will have their name picked out of a hat on the 11th September. Therefore, it doesn't matter when you find it, just as long as you do, if you get what I mean ;)
Well done on finding it anyway!

UPDATE: @Huw; So what bribes do you take? Cash? :P

cool contest. I like search and find. I found it!
Some cool stuff, and I too had never heard of them.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 15 Aug 2011 14:33

@obisky, the terms and conditions makes this clear, but I've changed the text above to make it even clearer.

I found it, mwahaha, this is one contest I actually have a chance at!

Huw; we need help!
Is this photo of LEGO, or is it something else?
please tell everyone .

LEGOSLUG

UPDATE: The reason I'm asking is because it doesn't look like LEGO..................

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 15 Aug 2011 16:08

"LEGO-related and for sale at FireStar" is really all the help you need.

:)

Posted by LEGOSLUG in New Zealand, 15 Aug 2011 16:10

Thanks ncbarret very helpful:)

Got it!! Had a feeling when I first looked at it and I was right! (at least I think I am)

Posted by brankell5566 in Canada, 15 Aug 2011 17:02

I get really frustrated when I do these types of contests. I still haven't found it. >:(

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 15 Aug 2011 17:02

I had just bought the item from them! I had literally just made the order, then looked on Brickset and saw this, so I knew it straight away! 'Good' luck everyone, heh heh...

Posted by Morgan19 in United States, 15 Aug 2011 17:27

Easy, but fun nonetheless. ;)

Posted by brankell5566 in Canada, 15 Aug 2011 17:51

Yes found it! Took me a while though.

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 15 Aug 2011 17:56

^^ by looking ... took me about 10 minutes searching through the site to find it. Seems like a reasonable amount of effort for the chance to win £25/$40. There's some great looking accessories on the site, a lot I hadn't seen before, so I guess that was the point - encouraging people to look through what's available in exchange for the chance to win the prize. (EDIT - great, one of the other Mods deleted the post I was replying to ...)

^ no clues ... just put in a bit of effort, it isn't hard to track down. (EDIT - and again ... sheesh)

So easy.

Posted by JDLego in Canada, 15 Aug 2011 18:16

Funny thing was, is that I just ordered a whole whack of stuff from them, and I bought this item, so I knew what it was as soon as I saw it, hope I win to make another purchase! Great Idea by the way!

What will I buy if I win, lots of good stuff on there and finally a chance for Halo armour!
Great competition brickset, and it has introduced me to a new way of spending moneh!

Posted by ceroknight in Canada, 15 Aug 2011 19:15

I was wondering how much the prize will be in Canadian?

Posted by Carnigee77 in United States, 15 Aug 2011 19:22

Well, it was exactly what I thought it was, but it took me forever to find. Neat website. Im against customs, but they have some cool official lego figures.

Posted by jackmap in United States, 15 Aug 2011 19:30

I found it - it wasn't that difficult!

Posted by Carnigee77 in United States, 15 Aug 2011 21:06

Anybody know if their Collectable minifigs come in/with package?

Posted by mokey2345 in United Kingdom, 16 Aug 2011 08:21

Posted by starburst in United States, 16 Aug 2011 09:43

Took me about 15 minutes, but I found it. Probably could have done it in less time, but this was my first time on FireStar Toys

Posted by grandbuilder2001 in United Kingdom, 16 Aug 2011 09:44

FireStarToys won't work on my computer for some reason.

Posted by mokey2345 in United Kingdom, 16 Aug 2011 09:47

@starburst same, never been on FireStar before either,it's a pretty good website for lego...etc

Posted by halfpenguinhalflego in United Kingdom, 16 Aug 2011 12:46

Even if I don't win I have to finally get that Halo armour! Darn the promotion worked on me.

Posted by bob123 in United States, 16 Aug 2011 13:11

i know what the picture is

Posted by LEGOSLUG in New Zealand, 16 Aug 2011 14:47

I showed the website to my mum, ( I´m a TFOL ) and I had up a random page and she thinks she has found it!
So it must be there somewhere..........

Posted by LEGOSLUG in New Zealand, 16 Aug 2011 15:10

My mum was wrong! But, thinking about what she said I found it!
I found it! I am in to win.

Posted by andrew991116 in United States, 16 Aug 2011 23:04

Took me 2 minutes to find it using the search function.

Posted by Super Robot Wars in Ireland, 17 Aug 2011 07:29

Is the competition one entry per person or can you enter as many times as you like?

Posted by OuterRimTradingCo. in Australia, 17 Aug 2011 08:34

Good competition and very nice website. It's just a shame they support the COBI range of blatant LEGO rip-offs...

Posted by Berrybrick in United States, 17 Aug 2011 10:07

Just found it! Nice website, but they don't seem to have the custom parts I want, it's all military.

Posted by jezzatheshed in United Kingdom, 17 Aug 2011 13:41

I found it too..More importantly what a great little site, I hope they diverse into more mudane things, how about some nice wands for aspiring wizards as a start?

Posted by Berrybrick in United States, 17 Aug 2011 15:02

/\ Or some insectoid armor recolors (like I was looking for). /\

Posted by CaptainJonnyBoy in United States, 17 Aug 2011 22:28

Hey, if you want mundane and non-military stuff, they did have teddy bears. ;-)
Cool contest, wasn't very hard to find, though. It would take only a day or two to comb through the entire website, I think it's almost impossible NOT to find by September 10th. Of course, it only took me a few minutes to find it.

Posted by peppermintmecha in United Kingdom, 18 Aug 2011 03:11

Well, my memory for figure parts means it took me thirty seconds (not counting loading times) to find it. Firestar is very useful and I have made a few orders in the past. Now lets see if chance would have it that I can make another order. :)
