Cool...
Sometimes pictures of sets are not as accurate as they would be if it was sitting right in front of you. I'll get this set and review it, and then you can wait to find out if looks better out of the box and finished. I checked on the lego website for the details, my guess is that having a wheel in the front under the 'bonnet' might have altered its slope.

I have checked out the instructions on lego.com and there is a lot of detail on this set, I really like the interior details which includes a radio, glovebox, gearstick, handbrake and even pedals! , I think it will look very impressive once you get it built in real life, I will be ordering this as soon as its available in the UK.

@mrdoofa, what's the link for the instructions?

Posted by mrdoofa in United Kingdom, 29 Jun 2008 13:39

This is the link for book 1: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/4536800.pdf and here is the link for book 2: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/4536801.pdf. If the links don't work you can access them by going to legoshop.com and clicking on customer service near the bottom of the page, you will then see a link to building instructions, click on this and from the drop down menu choose Lego creator as the theme and it is listed under the next drop down menu. The files are in PDF format so acrobat reader is needed to view them. Hope this helps!

Thanks! They keep them well hidden, don't they!

In germany they want 129.99€ for the set. Compared to 119USD thats just cruel.

If 129,99 in Germany is cruel, what about France? Its 149,99 there! Luckily its only 109,99 in Ireland albeit the postage is probably a bit higher than for other European countries.

This is by far one of the best cars lego has sold to the public (the best is the 57' chevy in legoland) The motor looks awesome, And it looks realistic. It is slightly better then the hot rod they came out with three or four years ago.
