DK LEGO Star Wars Character Encylopedia now shipping in the US

  • DK LEGO Star Wars Character Encylopedia now shipping in the US

    Posted by Huw, 18 Sep 2011 12:03. Filed under Shopping (USA).

    This DK book is now shipping from Amazon.com. If you haven't already pre-ordered it, what are you waiting for! It has some of my photography in it, but I can't tell you which photos are mine because I don't have a copy yet.

    It's not out for a few weeks in the UK so I suspect you'll be able to read a review at FBTB before I receive my copy. Ace over at FBTB was also also involved in the book: he checked the text, so we can be assured it'll be accurate.

^ I'm sure you didn't mean that to be as rude as it sounded...
Really looking forward to getting my copy of this.

I pre-ordered it today, really looking forward to its arrival in the post! :)

Congratulations on getting some of your pictures in there.

@LostInTranslation: Oh, um, I sounded rude? Didn't mean to. :P

i saw it at Walmart last night. Smaller than i thought.

@Huw; Yeah you should put the pictures up on the website (or even just a sample). Perhaps when the book released world ride we could have a find the picture competition ;) although only those with the book could enter...

@starfire2; How small? I thought it was the same size the as dictionary.

@Alemas,
Typing in all caps means you're shouting.
In some situations it also means you're a 75 year-old that just got connected to the Internet for the first time...

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 18 Sep 2011 15:31

@Ronny: I was, but didn't want to seem rude. And I'm definitely not a 75-year-old. :P
@Mods: Can you edit my first comment to say "Insert those photos you made in the Star Wars minifig gallery, then! :P", please? I have inadvertently started a row over my manners... :P

Can't wait for the review! (Nor can I wait for the book...)

it is about 2/3 the size of the dictionary. I preordered mine, and am still waiting for them. What is the point of preordering if you get it 3-7 days after everyone else?!

looks like they are making the award scene without making the set

@starfire2; That size surprises me, I presumed it would be the same size. But now being bigger will allow you to see the full page figure pictures in more detail, so it's probably for the best

I found a copy at my local TRU (10% off last week), and I had some TRU bucks to use. Walmart has it for $11.15. Bookdepository.com has it for $12.64 with free worldwide shipping. Not bad IMO.

Got mine via Amazon yesterday. Nice. Very NICE! I finally have all the Star Wars minifigs that I never collected! ;oP

I saw it at McNally Robinson's, for $20.99. It was smaller that I thought it would be. If anyone in Canada sees it at Costco, will they please tell me the price? It's not at my local store yet.
