If you're in Holland and have been frustrated about not being able to get the polybags that we in the UK have had in newspaper promotions, you can now get a good selection of them from Gamma stores. Unfortunately you'll need to spend a fair amount on DIY items to get them, though. Read all about it on the Gamma website in Dutch and English.

I suspect this will frustrate some polybag collectors I can think of in other countries because a few of these are pretty rare and haven't been readily available elsewhere before (e.g. the panda, fish and plane).

(Thanks to Roel for the news)

That's just typical. My sister lives in the Netherlands so maybe could have been persuaded to do some shopping and get me a panda in the process. But naturally the promo coincides with her being here in the UK for a fortnight...foiled again!

YES!! Finally I can get some polybags instead of buying them on eBay. Actually I just want Jack Sparrow, but maybe I can make some others happy..:)

@peter1975: Me please! :) Contact me via my profile if you do get anything and would like to trade. I have spares from the recent newspaper promo in the UK if you're interested. Ik kan ook mijn nederlands met jij oefenen!

well, we'll have to wait what the exact mix of the bags is... the rare ones might remain rare...I wonder if you would be able to persuade the cashiers to choose a set?

and €50 is a lot to spend if you've just finished your house :-)

It would cost me £78 to get there and back via British Airways, £475 on a hotel, £117 to rent a car to get to the DIY store, and then I'd have to spend £43 on products so I could get my Panda polybag :)

Totally worth it!

Vijftig euro uitgeven voor een polybag Hun zijn gek!!

I live in the Netherlands, but unfortunately there is nothing I need from Gamma in the near future. Sorry guys. And that is a lot of money to give out just for a little Lego set. Aout five years ago they gave Creator polybags away with Duracell batteries, that was do-able, but this is just a silly promotion. Shame, my son would have liked the Jack Sparrow.

I also think it is a silly promotion....

Posted by Wiseman_2 in United Kingdom, 18 Oct 2011 06:26

Aaah, that's annoying, those are all better than the ones we had :/

For those that aren't sure which sets are included in this promotion, I've created a BrickList:http://www.brickset.com/brickLists/?6008

The Jet and the Panda are the most interesting ones for me, as far as I'm aware (and please correct me if I'm wrong), these two sets have not previously been available outside of ebay, Bricklink, or the Amazon MarketPlace.

Couldn't you just buy a drill or whatever worth 50euro, get the lego, then take back the drill?...

^^ Good job, thanks Andy

I'm interested in any and all of them, if anyone can help. I have all of the recent UK Sun polybags for trade, or I can pay. trades@matthewbutlerfol.co.uk

Looks like a nice polybag! Is there anymore polybags apart from this one?

Posted by Peter1975 in Netherlands, 18 Oct 2011 18:51

People: I've been to the Gamma today. Bought just the things I need, AND the Lego did'nt just come after buying for 50EUR on products. They're also for sale for about 3 EURO.
So, I got my Jack Sparrow. :)

o_O I'm interested in the clown fish and panda if anyone can help me out. :)

Anyone knows if this promo is available in the Belgian gamma's as well?

Posted by DwarfSleepy in Netherlands, 19 Oct 2011 17:56

^ I don't think so, nothing is mentioned on their Belgian website... I think it has to do with Gamma being a sponsor of Lego world in Zwolle, which is on this week.
^^^they're actually for sale for EUR 2,49 each. I got all of them today, there are buckets full of them left.

Posted by glenn in United Kingdom, 20 Oct 2011 02:15

@Peter1975

" They're also for sale for about 3 EURO" Seriously? Then I will have to pop over to the nearest Gamma after work, and will have to be quick as I am leaving for Britain tomorrow! I will definately be getting Jack Sparrow, panda and the fish if Gamma Waalwijk are selling them loose.

Posted by Djemba in Netherlands, 20 Oct 2011 09:14

They were selling them for 2.50 each at Gamma Zwolle (really close to Legoworld) at a max of 4 a customer. Got 2 panda's, Jack Sparrow and a Fire Copter.

Posted by glenn in United Kingdom, 21 Oct 2011 05:07

They are indeed selling them for €2.50, four bags per customer. I managed to get Jack Sparrow, panda, fish and fire helicopter. Sorry to say I will not be able to help any one out this time as I will be leaving for Newcastle this afternoon.
