The Germans got the best deal. :P Oh well. :P Hang on a sec, it's October! We are talking about Christmas ALREADY?!? :P

Cool, but thankfully I don't exactly have plans anymore to get it... probably gonna get Pet Shop or something instead. But hey Huw, 4 bucks off isn't so bad. That's a free collectible minifigure!

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 26 Oct 2011 17:58

@TooMuchLEGO: Huw doesn't collect CollectAble Minifigures... :P He hates the China plastic. :P

"In the US, the best Amazon.com can do is 3% off, I'm afraid."

Yet still cheaper than the rest of us!

@ Alemas Actually, the French got a way better deal: € 66,07 vs € 79,99. I wish I'd pocketed that €13 difference, but I'd already ordered the German set and couldn't cancel it.

Hmmm, I didn't expect Fire Temple to get such high ratings.

The Ninjago dragons are pretty awesome, though. The temple is just a well-built set.

I'm feeling really bad to be in America right now.

Wow, At least people are going for this set, then they won't get the awful new 2012 ninjago.

Posted by LEGOSLUG in New Zealand, 27 Oct 2011 01:38

The Ninjago Fire Temple is 11th of 12th on the most wanted list...............just so we all know.

@legoslug: they're not ranked, they are in alphabetical order

I am surprised the Black Pearl isn't up there.

What a bizarre selection of toys making up that top 12 list, and what a bizarre choice of LEGO set. Honestly, it's as if someone stuck a pin in the LEGO product listing in order to come up with the "must have" toy this Christmas. Ridiculous. Irony is, the award will probably get a fair bit of publicity, so the Toy Retailer's Association will to some extent make this a "must have" toy with gullible parents. Nice set, by the way, but there are many others I think the average kid would prefer.

I had a look at the link. The list is not based on any research, just PR puffery from the toy manufacturers. I imagine the selection panel said Lego pays their dues, so Lego gets a a set. And got their pin out.

@BJMdotLEGO: Ok, so the French got the best deal! :P

Posted by KillDeer in Canada, 27 Oct 2011 11:12

I just want the building... I hate that dragon-thing :(

Posted by Ypres in Canada, 27 Oct 2011 13:49

Well the Temple for me was easily the best common Lego set of the year. I almost thought to collect Lego and miss this set you'd be crazy! It comes with one of the best minifig outfits (Dragon paint), an actual lego-built dragon (as opposed to solid ones), printed windows (also dragon print!!!), A dragon sword, a an overall unique "Asian" style temple.

Well my opinion aside, when my mom ended up seeing it (being the one who always says I have too much Lego) she said it was probably her favourite set that I owned.

Also for a toys list (for kids) obviously no one should deny the outright popularity towards NinjaGo. In Canada, NinjaGo was flying off the shelves. It's only just starting to cool down now... however I expect Christmas season to bring it right back up.

On a side note I'd really like to hear some (common) sets people thought deserve to be on the list. Surely, it cannot be anything from the Alien Conquest line... those were average at best.

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 27 Oct 2011 14:05

@Ypres: Alien Conquest. :P Sorry. :P

@Alemas: OFF TOPIC: What do you think about the new polybags? Compared to this fire temple they aren't that bad. Personally, I think they are better than the other 2012 Ninjago sets. :P :D

LEGOSLUG

P.S. See and rate my new reviews!

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 27 Oct 2011 14:46

@LEGOSLUG: Eh, they look nice. AND STOP IT WITH THOSE REVIEWS!!! :P

Posted by Hello_World! in United States, 27 Oct 2011 15:03

@Ypres: There are plenty of good sets that should have been in the list, for instance 3221 LEGO City Truck, or some Star wars set, or (although unlikely) a Technic set.

@Alemas: You've frended me back!

EDIT: and the buttons are back too!!

@Hello_World!: If you are my friend, I am your friend. That's my philosophy here at Brickset. ;)
