Valid Friday 11/4 thru Saturday 11/5, the Queen Anne's Revenge (4195), Police Station (7498) and Garmadon's Dark Fortress (2505) are 25% Off the normal TRU price.  Even better, Toys R Us is running a "Doorbusters" additional discount between 3pm Friday and 1pm Saturday.  During this time period, you can save an additional 20% on these 3 sets if purchased with the following coupon.  These stacked discounts will result in savings of 30%, 34%, and 44% Off MSRP respectively for the QAR, Police Station and Fortress.

Additionally for Friday and Saturday, Toys R Us will be selling the City Fire Truck (7239), PotC Fountain of Youth (4192), Hero Factory Rocka XL (2282), and Duplo Pet Shop (5656) for $19.99 each.  The savings off of MSRP for these sets would be 13%, 0%, 20% and 20% Off MSRP respectively.  Please note that the "Doorbusters" coupon will not apply to these sets.

Update: It turns out that the coupon is also valid online by entering promotional code 948437 at checkout.  Thanks Sharky!

You can go online right now and get the extra 20% off as well. The details are there for each listing. You use the coupon code that is shown on the listing.

PotC Fountain of Youth, on sale for 0% off MSRP now at TRU! I had to say it...

I have to say me, and my credit card, is fed up with all the limited sales, billions of coupons, and whatnot.. especially when TRU artificially raises their prices on certain sets (like QAR) to begin with... I think I am done until a BOGO, a buy two get the 3rd free, or the inevitable LEGO clearance/ black Friday sale that should be rearing its head soon....
Any news on what LEGO is doing?

Hmm, wonder if Amazon.com would match that price $83.99 seems nice

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 04 Nov 2011 15:25

@madforlegos - each of the "Doorbusters" discounts on these 3 sets is better than you would get with a BOGO at the actual LEGO Store...

@flash0222 - I was thinking the very same thing! :o)

@bluelion3 - I know what you mean...but it may help someone trying to use up their Rewards bucks and/or trying to maximize the current 10% back rewards.

Thanks for the heads up - just picked up Queen Anne's Revenge for my son for Christmas and it was a great deal with the coupon vs. The Black Pearl I was considering.

On the website they have the 2012 Ninjago sets but not the two largest sets, the spinners or the booster packs

I just bought the police station in store and took advantage of this deal. It turns out that the price marked was even less than the price online. So, with the addition of the 20% off coupon, it was actually only $58 and change - over 40% off.

^And you never stole it either. lol

I also picked up the QAR. Good deal compared to other options, despite the absurd $20 markup at TRU.

There's now a one-day BOGO50 Nov 5th @ TRU

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 05 Nov 2011 11:47

@Yellowcastle: I understand your point, but my point is I am tired of having to dig up coupons (mercifully this is not done much due to Brickset BUT if it is a unique coupon and TRU does not send it to you, or your email deletes it, etc, then you are hosed), half of these coupons never work online( or will not be allowed to work with the promo online) so you have to potentially fight traffic and crowds to get to a TRU before they sell out of what you want, OR hope it was in stock to begin with (as TRU inventories are sketchy around me) .. hope that THAT TRU will honor both a sale AND the Coupon that you want to use in order to get a good deal (which as we all know does not always occur at EVERY TRU)
OR you have to Call TRU, wait on hold, and they try to get items you want and fight with THEM about how the coupon and promo should work)
Is it a good deal? SURE I am not saying it is not.. I am just saying it is my opinion that it is a pain and I am tired of all the 'promotions' and how TRU operates.. at least with a straight BOGO you know where you stand...

Apparently TRU heard my wish, BOGO50 is active on TRU's site now. Maersk Trains are also part of it, as well as the discounted 3677 red cargo train, AND limit TWO on those so you can BOGO them.. Also the EN, and Kings castle is supposed to have a limit of two now, but it sadly showing that infamous red notice about limit one still in the cart :-( Hopefully that will be updated soon!!!

Amazon.com just cut the price to $83.99!!

http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Queen-Annes-Revenge-4195/dp/B004MWK2C8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320526087&sr=8-1

With the prime free shipping, this was a no brainer! WOOT

I'm guessing the website is taking its time ending the promotion, I just placed an order for the Police Station and it is 5:10 pm where I'm at! No complaints! Thanks for the tip!

Posted by flash0222 in United States, 05 Nov 2011 22:32

Now, if they can just discount the black pearl tomorrow, that's be perfect... :)

I will never buy the higher end Legos at Toys R Us again. Their list price is usually $10 more than actual Lego.com prices and then they try and "wow" you with $10 off the list price; like their giving you a deal.

@flash0222: I was debating on BP or QAR for a while. This sale pushed me to the QAR. Now, I am going to wait for at least a 30% off discount on BP. It's hard to wait, though.
