Posted by jagdjh in United States, 09 Nov 2011 14:57

I noticed that 4438 isn't available yet at Lego and wasn't listed at TRU either. Is it going to be released later than the rest?

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 09 Nov 2011 15:10

Posted by MCLegoboy in United States, 09 Nov 2011 15:20

What type of ARF Trooper. The Shadow One would be cool to get again.

Awesome, now I know what I will buy on Black Friday to get the 2nd holiday set!
I found them on shop.lego.com under the "What's new" section.
They also have easy links like this: http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Super-Soarer-6912.
There are also photos for 4636 and 4637

Interesting, those are the same City sets people have reported finding in LEGO stores. I wonder where the SUV with bike trailer and the dump truck are? I'm going to snap up all of those sets once I see them. The Car and Caravan set will make a great Christmas present for my daughter, if I can find it before the Holiday (sorry, not interested in paying shipping, and don't need $100 of LEGO without those other two sets).

YES!

Posted by bluemodern in United States, 09 Nov 2011 16:16

Does this mean there will be sale prices for the old sets soon?

Posted by Zackula in United States, 09 Nov 2011 16:20

It looks like the marketing wizards at LEGO have been hard at work making creative names for the Dino 2012 sets.
EDIT: They also put a Racers minifigure on the website as the mascot for Dino 2012.

I really hope there's more to come.

We had the mother and father of LEGO leaks... and now we have the mother and father of early official LEGO releases. :P

Posted by wolfgang514 in United States, 09 Nov 2011 17:22

(Sigh) No Star Wars yet...

Posted by brixton in Canada, 09 Nov 2011 17:25

I'm definitely picking up the ambulance. I'd get the garbage truck too but I already have a recycle truck. I noticed the recycling centre is missing from what's available for purchase at LEGO.com. Maybe that will be released later in the year. I'd also like the car and camper but I got the last camper they released and I have something similar from the Aerial Acrobats set released back in 1993. The Forest Police station looks great. I'll have to think about that one. I'm still waiting for photos of the Town Hall modular set. I can't wait to see what it looks like.

They are also a LEGO brand stores in the states, and have been since Monday. Already picked up five of them - awesome sets.

Posted by Nightshroud99 in Canada, 09 Nov 2011 17:55

I guess I'll be getting that Shadow Arf after all :p

Posted by Skywalker1966 in United States, 09 Nov 2011 18:14

@Alemas: Talk about it. We have gotten both early pics of a lot of major sets from major themes, and now LEGO is releasing some of the 2012 sets almost 2 months before 2012!

Still, I think I get why this is... TLG may have taken such a hit on LU that they are having to take advantage of the holiday season to sell some extra sets and make some more money. At least, that could be a probably cause...

Regardless, I'll probably wait until they come to my LEGO store (which, technically speaking, they might already be there...). I just don't like needing to pay shipping when I could wait a little while and save money. :P I guess I'm a penny pincher.

Almost like last year. They had Pharaoh's Quest in a month and half early.

I picked up the small Dino and a couple of the Creator sets yesterday. You can even get the holiday box too if you spend $75+ at your local Lego shop.

Posted by Dlakii in Australia, 09 Nov 2011 23:14

Huh, never would've seen this coming, and in that regard it's one of the most fascinating developments to come from the LEGO release cycle for a while. If this means they come to other countries quicker as well, I'll be quite grateful.

Some of the mistakes they've made in labelling dinosaurs in the Dino theme are really strange, though - I've spent a while discussing with a friend why the "coelophysis" looks absolutely nothing like an actual coelophysis, and why it's downright strange that they'd mistakenly apply the name of a very obscure dinosaur to it. This is one of those things I hope LEGO picks up on and fixes.

Posted by Zordboy in Australia, 10 Nov 2011 06:11

I feel like I've already got three ambulances, so I'll probably pass on that one. I love the car and camper, though. And that Dino theme just keeps getting more awesome the more I look at it.

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 10 Nov 2011 12:09

Anyone found them in UK brand stores yet?

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, 10 Nov 2011 12:32

The dino theme looks great until you see the prices. $12 for 80 pieces and one minifigure? That dinosaur is supposed to count as 3-4 minifigures?

I don't know why this seems shocking to people, LEGO releases sets early every year for the last few. I'll wait for a B2G1 free sale from TRU to get the awesome $20 town sets.

Posted by bigw1974 in United States, 10 Nov 2011 17:23

They had all the Dino and City sets on the shelf at my nearest LEGO store, Tysons Corners. The folks working there were very excited about them..

Posted by Rolyat24 in United States, 10 Nov 2011 17:59

I don't get it. If they are released now, how are they 2012 sets?

Posted by Rolyat24 in United States, 10 Nov 2011 18:17

@BRICKBOY74 yeah, it is fun to think about

Posted by Jay Kenobi ZX in United States, 10 Nov 2011 18:50

EDIT: nvm just saw 'em on brickipedia.... wonder why they're in bags now...

Posted by Nightshroud99 in Canada, 10 Nov 2011 18:52

My order has already shipped!! :D

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 10 Nov 2011 23:00

Come on, Star Wars!

Posted by CaptainJonnyBoy in United States, 11 Nov 2011 07:45

@Thomson & Thompson: That's the stuff!

Posted by Skywalker1966 in United States, 11 Nov 2011 19:26

Well, it's offical. The above 2012 sets aren't just on LEGOShop.com, they are in LEGO Brand Stores. I just got one of the new "Dino" ones and have to say that they are great. No sign of the Series 6 Minifigs at the store, however. For right now, I suppose they are just at Wal-Mart.

@ LegoCoastGuard - I've seen none in any store in London, and the staff member who normally tells me these things wasn't in today so no info either
