    At the moment every LEGO retailer out there seems to be offering some sort of offer in an attempt to get us to part with our money. Unfortunately LEGO themselves can't offer 3-for-2 or deep discounts because they can't undercut their retail channel so their offers have to be a bit more creative.  Today's offer, for VIP members, is pretty good:

    - Spend over £25 / US$49 / CA$49 -- free delivery (I thought everyone had that anyway...)
    - Spend over £50 / US$99 / CA$99 -- Get the second Christmas set free as well
    - Spend over £100 / US$149 / CA$149 -- 10% off your order as well!

    Plus, VIP points too!

    Now I just need to find something to buy. Luckily for you in the US and Canada you can get the 2012 sets already so there's probably something you need. But for me here in the UK, I have nearly everything I want...

Placed an order this morning. Was sadden to discover that I was not allowed to use the BS11 promo code (ARF trooper) along with getting the 2nd Christmas set. I guess that Lego is taking lessons from TRS on preventing good deals!

Additionally, I was at the Raleigh Lego store yesterday and was told that their black Friday deal will be 10% off an order of $150 or more.

I'm seriously miffed that this is only for UK/US/CAN customers. I'd happily spend far more than €100 today at S@H if I could get free delivery + the Christmas set + 10% off. All I get as a VIP member is a bunch of VIP bonus points on sets I don't care about.

So a UK customer already pays 30% less than me, and now he's also getting free shipping and a free exclusive set? And if he buys another set for €50 at the same time, he also gets a 10% discount? Why aren't these VIP-deals for all customers on the same continent? If UK-customers can get them, why can't customers in Belgium?

Just took advantage of the offer, and along with my VIP points, I got the Star Destroyer for £289. I think this is the only way I could have obtained this set, which I previously said I would never buy at the full price.

I ordered something today and used the promo code BS11 and made payment already. I was able to use the code but I dont see any ARF trooper inside my order upon completion of payment. So do I get the ARF trooper or not.

chuahcq - I am wondering the same thing. I was able to apply to code, but the Shadow ARF did not show up in the cart. This may simply be because the Shadow ARF is not listed in the shop.lego.com catalog so it simply doesn't have an item to pull from to place in the cart (since it was a promo).

Then again, I'm just taking a guess. I guess we will find out in a few days.

If the ARF trooper doesn't show up in your cart then you are not getting it. Sorry. It does show up when they put it in the cart.

My son is almost 6 and we have bought way too many legos this past year. As a result, our Lego store had a VIP event this morning for only 24 VIP members and their one guest. I went with my son and we were lucky enough to get a 20% off coupon for our entire purchase. And then when we checked out, we spent enough to get 2 Christmas Limited Edition sets for free. And they were selling the 1st Christmas set for $9.99. And then they also gave us 4 boxes of free pick a bricks that we could use after Dec 25th- March 2012. And to top it off they had scorpions in the pick a brick area, so my son filled up an entire cup of scorpions. We bought all the new Dino sets and a few new City Sets. It was a lot of fun, and my son is super excited. Oh, and we earned $15 credit in VIP. Not a bad day at the Lego Store!

Yeah it seems like the ARF trooper does not combine with the Holiday set #2..
Nice of some to get two of the Holiday set #2, as according to LEGO is was 1 per person, no exceptions...

At the LEGO store I was at we got the PAB box and was allowed to use it immediately, so filled that to the brim, also found the PAB wall had white horses, picked those up into a smaller cup, and those were gone fairly quickly.
Basically the LEGO store I was at only had the new City and DINO stuff, got the garbage/recycle trucks though (which seem to be a big seller) and a pet shop since I already had enough VIP points to cut about 30% off of the set, got only a 10% pull card (scratch is a misnomer as they were pull tabs, like the McDonalds monopoly game)
They also apparently allowed for those who got a good discount to go back to add on more to their final purchase.
Interesting to see so many experienced LEGO shoppers a the PAB wall, tons of piles of LEGO sets sitting on the floor all over and people spending time packing their PAB boxes....
Also got enough to get a few PAB boxes for after Christmas to fill up...

The big difference with VIP shipping and normal shipping is VIP members have a lower threshold.(50 U.S. opposed to 100 U.S.).

I bought Tower Bridge instore today as part of the VIP invite before the store opened. The scratch card i picked had 20% off plus the 10% they were doing on sales over £100 so i ended up getting 30% off (£63) so i got it for £146.99 plus the pick a brick box and part 2 of the winter set. Was well worth going in there!!

Hello_World!: Yes, I was signed in to my LEGO account. I was signed in as a VIP member in fact. I've tested it again just now by adding the Death Star (over £250) to my cart, but the second Christmas set still doesn't show up in the cart.

Can anyone else in the UK try this please? It's simply not working for me.

^ It won't show up now because this was a one day only deal for yesterday. The holiday set will be available again with purchases over £50 from 25-28 November.

I also placed an order online last night (11.40pm UK time) and ordered over £50 and yes the Winter Set did show up in my basket. I had an email at 9am this morning saying my order has shipped and the winter set is on the invoice.

@ Margot: I got a letter in the post from my local Lego store (Cardiff) My invite was number 56 of 124. It was from 8.30am-9.30am yesterday instore. I got there just before 9am and the doors were locked. I had to show my invite to be allowed in. If anyone wants to see what this invite looked like i can always scan it and put on here if allowed?

@voypro: We were super excited to get the scorpions. When we got home, my son made a huge army of scorpions on our lego table. Our Lego store manager told us that they can choose what PAB they order, and that they were always looking for special pieces to order. Our Lego store has had horses, scorpions, and other cool pieces. A few years ago they told me they had crystals one time.
@Margot: My son thought he won a golden ticket when we got our invite. We were 1 of 24 people invited. They opened our Lego store @9am-10am for 24 people and one guest each. And everyone had to RSVP.
@madforlegos: We got to Christmas sets because we had two people. I just didn't know they would give 2 out on one transaction.

Hopefully some of the 2012 sets will be available in the UK lego shop when the second xmas set is on offer around 25th - 28th Nov.
