CELEBRATE! :D XD I expect them to come in late December. :P

EDIT: Sorry to bother you, Huw, but news searching is broken AGAIN: http://www.brickset.com/news/?query=alemas No results! A couple of weeks ago, it DID come up with results!

EDIT 2: Strange, searching "Indiana" comes up with this: http://www.brickset.com/news/?query=Indiana So it's not searching for the term in the title only!

It looks like TLG is slowing the production of the figs. Smart thing. If they didn't, they would be up to series 100 before you know it!

Posted by TooMuchLEGO in United States, 28 Nov 2011 17:31

YAHOOO!!! Another thing for me to go broke on. Oh ho, I love you LEGO.

Posted by Nightshroud99 in Canada, 28 Nov 2011 17:46

This will be the best series yet! I want those Roman Soldiers! And Aliens!!!

Posted by The Reviewer in United States, 28 Nov 2011 17:49

I don't know about that, my local TRU had series 3 in december 2010. I hope they get series 6 in december 2011. Sheesh this minifig thing goes on and on maybe there will be a series 100 ( we would have 1,600 minifigs!)

Posted by SilentMode in United Kingdom, 28 Nov 2011 17:50

Enough time to regenerate funds. Two boxes worth!

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 28 Nov 2011 17:52

Loving the look of this series, for me the best yet. I am really hoping that the Roman shield is shaped correctly so we can make a lovely testudo formation.

Posted by Ravenhook in Australia, 28 Nov 2011 17:52

It's good to have concrete news on when they're coming, though disappointing in a way: I'd hoped they would be shipping around now, just like the green packets of Series 3 were this time last year.

Oh well. The funny thing is, since this series leaked so early, it feels like we've been waiting FOREVER for the blue genie and his lamp!

Posted by yys4u in United States, 28 Nov 2011 17:57

@Ravenhook I feel you, I was really expecting them to come out any time now, but now I find out I have to wait more than a whole month! lol

Posted by LostInTranslation in United Kingdom, 28 Nov 2011 18:02

Yay! I was starting to feel minifig-deprived :)

Posted by Jay Kenobi ZX in United States, 28 Nov 2011 18:06

Wow, I really want.....all of them really! Most outstanding to me are the Toy Robot and Minotaur.

Posted by jwsmart in United States, 28 Nov 2011 18:09

I would start watching TRU brick and mortar stores for these - they've always had them 1-2 months before the LEGO store.

Posted by nadnerb112 in United States, 28 Nov 2011 18:19

Dang, just got my first series 5 yesterday.

Posted by Jdawg26 in Canada, 28 Nov 2011 19:02

I just started with these last month. Finished Series 4, got half of 5 and they have dried up in my area. But I did find series 2 at the local Mastermind. I got 8 today with 16 more on the way from the online store, buy 3 for $9 and get 1 free. I can't wait for 6 and 7. They have some of the best yet.

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 28 Nov 2011 19:25

So in North America and the UK?

Posted by didgeboy in United States, 28 Nov 2011 20:17

jdawg26, my local Wal-Mart (ugh) has several boxes. If there is something you are looking for let me know, seriously like 12 boxes, no joke. Cheers.

Posted by Krivorn in United States, 28 Nov 2011 20:25

wow. This series is great.

Posted by JohnnyB in United Kingdom, 28 Nov 2011 21:50

I like the T-bone steak and genie. But series 7 with the hippie is what I'm really looking forward to...

Posted by mikeyob in United States, 28 Nov 2011 23:46

Can't wait for Series 6...Finally completed series 1. That cost me enough...darn Zombie

Posted by AddictedToStyrene in Australia, 29 Nov 2011 00:34

I am looking forward to these, but I do admit to waiting and buying each series as a set on eBay. I limit myself to paying approximately what 16 figures would cost, plus a reasonable amount for postage. I display my collectable minifigs on 48 x 48 baseplates, using 1 x 2 bricks and the occasional 2 x 2/2 x 2 bracket. I use sticky backed magnet strips on the back of the baseplates, and have them 'displayed' on one side of a filing cabinet in my office.

Posted by dino-girl in United Kingdom, 29 Nov 2011 05:58

I can't wait to get the spacegirl, robot and boy with teddy and the bunny from 7

Posted by Brickman193 in Australia, 29 Nov 2011 06:41

Might have to buy a few of the Legionnaires online, methinks...

Posted by meccanotwitch in United Kingdom, 29 Nov 2011 07:00

Does anyone out there find that certain figures are so hard to find and when you look on E-Bay they are far more expensive than the others you already have. The gladiator and dwarf are the two from series 5 that I don't have and are the most expensive to buy. I am convinced, from this theory, that Lego produce less of certain figures so we buy more to complete our collections.

Posted by mikes0000 in United States, 29 Nov 2011 08:40

Any news on the color of the packages? I make my display cases in the color of each series and would like to start gathering the pieces for the case.

Posted by gifinim in United Kingdom, 29 Nov 2011 08:57

I saw all the figures on display in the Lego Discovery Centre in Manchester at the weekend, and most of them look fantastic - it's probably the strongest set yet. The genie looks way better in real life than it does in the pictures.

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 29 Nov 2011 09:07

Thanks Huw for fixing news seaching again! ;)

Posted by KernelPanic in United States, 29 Nov 2011 09:37

meccanotwitch, there is a thread in the forums somewhere with the box count on series 5. Some are more common than others. I bet. however. that the gladiator and dwarf are more expensive, because so many, like me, bought multiples.

Posted by KernelPanic in United States, 29 Nov 2011 09:39

Series 5 box count. http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?ID=1396

Posted by brixton in Canada, 29 Nov 2011 09:40

Series' 6 and 7 look fantastic. Two of the best of the CM line. I guess we'll be getting photos of series 8 in January or February then. I can't wait to see what those look like.

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 29 Nov 2011 09:51

I like the Genie, the Cowboy, and the Toy Robot most. Pretty much all of them are awesome. Series 7 is cool too, but it's kind of weird.

Posted by brix in United Kingdom, 29 Nov 2011 11:27

I'm really hoping that the packet colour will be purple although a darker green would also look good...

Posted by Gregorovich in United Kingdom, 29 Nov 2011 12:00

I was hoping they would be here earlier, as I really would like some of these figs (I've already got some uses for the parts). However, I suppose if they arrive later it means I can save up a little.

Also, to those wondering, the packets will be a greyish white colour. The prelim pic and the bonus photo we have shows that in the background.

Posted by legobuilderstudios in United Kingdom, 29 Nov 2011 12:33

Not bad! All I want out of this series is the cowboy and the spartan/roman guard.

Posted by commodorelegolas in United States, 29 Nov 2011 12:39

Mikes0000 and Brix, They will be white.

Posted by The Brick Show in United States, 29 Nov 2011 13:54

Can't wait. Does anyone know of a good way to display these? The stacked stands i see are so expensive.

Posted by davidrod8 in United States, 29 Nov 2011 14:04

Any advice for a late comer on how to get a hold on all of them... I have been buying some series 5 but I'm stuck at 12 and have several extra ones... I need to catch up and get all for series 1-4... I have seen them on ebay but the prices can be quite expensive...

Posted by Doctor Leg O'Brick in United Kingdom, 29 Nov 2011 14:47

I will get all of them plus doubles of The Roman, The Alien, Mechanic, and Red riding hood. Going to make a Red Hood Batman figure with some spares I own.

Posted by mikes0000 in United States, 29 Nov 2011 15:04

Gregorovich & commodorelegolas - Thanks for the info on the package color. I had seen the prelim images with the light bluish gray question mark background but wasn't sure if that was official or subject to change.

Posted by meyerc13 in United States, 29 Nov 2011 15:48

Series 5 is overflowing everywhere, but Series 4 seemed to come and go quite quickly so I think they're moving a lot of inventory. As others have stated, here in the US Wal Mart seem to have aggressively stocked these. In one of my local stores they have them on an end cap near the bicycles.

I've also seen them at Fleet Farm (although they aren't likely to stock these except during Oct-Dec), and another random store that I can't remember but where I didn't expect to see them. It might have been the store in the mall that stocks items seen on tv commercials and infomercials.

These are an incredible impulse buy and I think stores like Target would do far better stocking these in the checkout lanes than the polybags they have now. I know I'd be more likely to add one to my order because even the worst grow on me with time so I don't mind duplicates. A perfect example is the gnome. I wish I had picked up more because the torso is great for Santa or his elves. I've picked up several of the Series 5 clowns because I know I'll use the parts somewhere down the line. In fact, I have duplicates of almost every one of the Series 5 figures now.

Posted by yys4u in United States, 29 Nov 2011 18:26

@meyerc13 good point about the target checkout isle. They don't even need to put ALL of them there, just a few.

I've also seen series 5 at Fry's Electronics, they had at least 12 boxes, and I don't mean in stock in the backroom, I mean 12 open boxes in the checkout isle. Most I've ever seen in one spot...

Posted by Hello_World! in United States, 29 Nov 2011 19:14

yys4u, I got some series 4 at Fry's awhile ago, there were three or four boxes.

Waiting won't be too bad, still have series 5 to get!

It's going to be an expensive January. Series 6 and Superheroes. I'm still waiting for photos for the new Modular Building and Summer House.

"Posted by jongoodall in United Kingdom, 14 Nov 2011 15:38

My local independent toy shop recently showed me their traders Lego 2012 catalogue. It looked like Series 6 is going to be white packets and i think Series 7 may have been red packets."

hope this answers the color questions.

Posted by jagdjh in United States, 29 Nov 2011 22:11

So there is no chance they will be out before Christmas? Seems like an odd thing...to wait until after a huge holiday to make them available. I was hoping to get some as stocking stuffers.

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 30 Nov 2011 08:20

Wonder when they'll come to Canada?

Posted by meyerc13 in United States, 30 Nov 2011 09:47

^^I think the reason they aren't going to be out before the Holidays is because they have produced abundant stock of Series 5 to cover the Holiday demand. The average parent looking for a stocking stuffer isn't going to know the difference, and collectors are going to buy the new series whenever it is released, so overall the strategy is sound if you look at if from that perspective. Not to mention, it's probably better for collectors if it comes out after the Holidays so we aren't competing with those parents and grandparents to find them.

Posted by Redbullgivesuwind in United Kingdom, 30 Nov 2011 13:39

why do I think the Barbarian and the Roman soldier will be hard to get hold off. And super expensive on ebay. Think Roman battle will look awesome

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 30 Nov 2011 15:15

If any one is located near the P.A. Exton TRU, there are usually four whole, full boxes of minifigs, untouched. These new series look like the best yet (Though isn't that we said the past five series? :P)

Posted by MinifiguresPlus.com in United States, 30 Nov 2011 23:41

Bet that mechanic is gonna go cheap

Posted by broomhandle in United States, 01 Dec 2011 17:50

it depends on how many are to a box. there could be a million romans, and like 1 mechanic....

but, it seams like only S1 are the collectable ones. the rest are everywhere.

Posted by MinifiguresPlus.com in United States, 01 Dec 2011 18:11

^ yes, but the popular business strategy is to make the most wanted figures least in quantity. Thus, I'm betting those mechanics will be everywhere.

Definitely true of series 1. I'm paying well over $200 per box now.

Posted by broomhandle in United States, 01 Dec 2011 18:21

well, what about series 4 and 5. nothing is rare...
