    Hot off the press from The LEGO Show and AFOLCON organisers - and this time it's for both AFOLs and the public!

    "The team at AFOLCON and The LEGO Show have been working with the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Manchester to produce some very special deals.

    "For AFOLCON delegates, we'll again be going back to the LDC after hours! On Friday night, once the public have left, the Discovery Centre will be open exclusively to AFOLCON attendees. We'll be able to look at miniland, ride the laser ride and the Merlins' apprentice ride, see the 4D cinema and even try out their brand new attractions for 2012. Assuming we can fit in it of course!

    "Not only will AFOLCON delegates get FREE entrance to the Discovery Centre, but their shop will be stacked full of exclusives and there's a special 5% discount for AFOLCON attendees on production of a VIP card.  And if all that wasn't enough, we're announcing the first speaker too. You don't need to be an AFOLCON attendee to get 5% discount for on production of a VIP card. Everyone gets it.

Why is the price so high? £60? How is that justified?

Nice gesture for the 5% discount, but that only matches what you'd get ordering directly from LEGO (you don't gain VIP points at MDC). Good for using the pick a brick wall though.

@absolutelylez - The price includes 2 days of conference sessions from LEGO designers and a whole host of other people, a conference badge, lanyard etc, entrance to the LDC and 1Kg of LEGO (amongst other things!). We hope it's worth it - certainly last years' delegates thought so
