Advent day 10

Day 10Day 9 and 10Today, as anticipated, we have proof that yesterday's minifig was not an axe murderer on the run from the LEGO City Police, but a fisherman. Today's bag is a bit light on pieces but they complement the ice fisherman nicely. The use of whip piece is less than ideal, though, as the poor man has to be virtually on top of the fire to get the fish anywhere near it.

Day 10A miniature rendition of an Imperial Shuttle is in the Star Wars calendar, and while it's not quite up to the standard of yesterday's X-Wing, it's still pretty good.

Isn't that supposed to be an Imperial Landing Craft? It would fit the wider design more...

I put my fisherman holding the pole over the hole in the ice and the fire next to him. I don't think he's trying to cook the fish. :-)

@Lord Demonico - Perhaps, but if it were an Imperial Landing Craft I think the wings on the side would be set back more.

Another decent day, nothing too impressive, but hey, it's only going to get better right?

The landing craft is also much bulkier, with a distinct wider central cargo hold. Wookiepedia has schematics of both ships on their respective articles. The design is okay, and is mostly recognisable because the ship itself is so recognizable. The parts are good though...

I agree Huw, the Imperial Shuttle looks good, it's totally recognizable with so few pieces but I was hoping as well to a little larger model to match the size closer to the X-wing.

I like the fire, and the Imperial Shuttle-Landing Craft.

Would be nicer if the fire was bigger.

I agree with all above - couple of pieces more would be just fine. Slave1 and X-wing put certain standards.

Yes, but if you look closely, you can see C3P0 peering round the side ;)
