If you're near a LEGO brand store (Brighton, Milton Keynes or Bluewater) you should be able to grab some 2009 sets before Christmas. Bluemoose reports that in addition to the town square (priced at a very reasonable 68.50) "they have both new Indy sets (car chase & german plane), both new Star Wars 'army builder' sets, new Jedi starfighter & clone assault gun-boat thing, some of the new racer sets, the new City crane & City digger, the new mini F-14-like creator set, but no Miners or Farm yet."

No sign of them on LEGOshop.com yet though. Looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer to be able to order them from there...

I really really want the Castle town Square set! :)

Posted by abag in United States, 21 Dec 2008 12:46

clone assault gun-boat thing? Could u be more specific? lol

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 21 Dec 2008 12:51

How many different 2009 'clone assault gun-boat things' are you expecting ? :-P

http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=8019-1

To be *precise* it's the 8019 Republic Attack Shuttle.

Posted by legofan3 in United States, 21 Dec 2008 12:59

I opened up the paper today here in the US and got out the TRU ad. They had almost all of the 2009 sets out. No Castle Town Square, but they did have the following:

Indiana Jones:
Shanghai Showdown 39.99
Fight on the Flying Wing 49.99

Star Wars Clone Wars:
Vulture Bomber 19.99
Attack Shuttle 59.99

Power Miners:
Claw Digger 19.99
Thunder Driller 29.99
Crystal Sweeper 69.99

Bionicle Glatorian:
Glatorians A, B and C 12.99

That's all they had in the ad, I don't think they had any of the Battle Packs, Pirates, the City Farm, Construction, or Creator Sets in the ad because they already have had them for a week or two so they aren't officialy "new" anymore. Hopefully they'll get the Castle Town Square within a week or two after Christmas.

I want that castle square and jedi starfighter

Posted by fredthefish03 in United States, 21 Dec 2008 13:17

hmmmm...looks good. I really want the castle town square and the Indiana Jones stuff. I'm just asking, how does the republic attack shuttle look like a "gun-boat thing?"

Posted by Nickds in United States, 21 Dec 2008 13:38

TRU in the US has the complete line of Pirates, the horse trailer from the Farm, some Construction sets and are advertising on their website the two Clone War Battle Packs. If you check the TRU website they have daily specials not advertised in newspapers. A week ago they had the new Pirate ship disconted 15%. We can't wait for the Castle Town Square.

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 21 Dec 2008 13:47

'gun boat' is what they were called when the Imperial version originally appeared in the X-Wing / TIE Fighter games over a decade ago.

Posted by xboard08 in United States, 21 Dec 2008 13:51

You can always go to Ebay and get ripped off for the Castle Town Square. Someone is selling it for the low price of $190 and describing as going to be nearly impossible to find.

Off topic but: Toys R Us has raised their prices considerably on a few sets. I picked up the Construction Site for $89 two weeks ago. The other day they had it for $104.99. The same price for Brick Beard's Bounty. They also raised the impulse sets to $6.99 and the Soldier's Fort went up since I bought it as well.

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 21 Dec 2008 14:45

Just to add to the list above, the UK LEGO Brand Stores also had the new Darth Vader's TIE Advance on the shelf from Friday. No 'chromed' Vaders though.

Please have Castle Town Square in orlando....Please have Castle Town Square in orlando....Please have Castle Town Square in orlando....
They need to have it!

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 21 Dec 2008 15:27

Any prices bluemoose?

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 21 Dec 2008 15:48

From what I can remember ;-)

7685 Dozer £19.49
7632 Crawler Crane £40.94

7683 Fight On The Flying Wing £38.99
7682 Shanghai Chase £24.37

8019 Republic Attack Shuttle £48.74
7751 Ahsoka's Starfighter £29.35
8014 Clone Walker £9.74
8015 Assassin Droids £9.74
8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter £29.24

Above are the 'list' prices in the UK (inc. sales tax at current rate)

Posted by peppermintmecha in United Kingdom, 21 Dec 2008 16:36

Is there any news of any more lego shops opening in the UK? It's just all three of those shops are miles and miles away from me (South Wales...) I'd love to get the new Indy lego.

Posted by The_Best_Fighter, 21 Dec 2008 18:28

But ALL the sets ALWAYS come out in the USA first!

Posted by Captain in United States, 21 Dec 2008 21:02

I saw the new Pirates sets, Power Miners, Shanghai Chase, the clone wars AAT and Republic Attack Shuttle, and more at Toys R Us. It sucked though, because they were charging 5.99 for the impulse sets, almost twice what they should be. I wanted the pirate one, but I didn't waste my money.

Posted by shenron in Finland, 22 Dec 2008 01:06

If you have patience, you can easily save 30-40% on average on the cover price.

Posted by >>>LEGO NUMBER 1 MASTER FREAK<<< in Australia, 22 Dec 2008 02:37

Can someone please tell me when this will be released in Australia wanna grab one ASAP and come someone who has this set review this set. Thanks

Posted by Topsy Cret in Sweden, 22 Dec 2008 02:47

I was in a toy store looking for puzzles when I thought, what the hey, so I went and looked at LEGO stuff. I only took a short glance as I was in a hurry, but I did see the new construction sets. Might go there later to see if they have the Indy sets.

Posted by jimmyjones911 in United Kingdom, 22 Dec 2008 03:36

Thank you lego!!!!! sorry for any castle fans in USA but its fair you've had loads of new sets for ages. im gunna ask for some for christmas probaly wont get any though coz its a bit short notice :( but i will go there to spend my christmas money :) im so excited!!!

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 22 Dec 2008 03:54

Thanks bluemoose. So the hunt is on! Maybe this year the UK will get the city sets first as there haven't been any others found yet in the USA.

Posted by Routemaster in Germany, 22 Dec 2008 07:22

I've also seen the new City Construction Sets here in Germany @ TRU. Also the new Lego Technic sets. I picked up the 8264 Technic Hauler for me last saturday. :-)

Posted by BionicleBOOM in United States, 22 Dec 2008 08:53

Can't WAIT for these sets to come out in the USA! :D

Posted by penguin3 in United States, 22 Dec 2008 09:37

i REALLY WANT THE NEW POWER MINERS

Posted by softybones in United States, 22 Dec 2008 09:42

us target had shanghi chase flight on flying wing aall power miners both spongebob the city sets except farm including minifig collection all gladitorianand most new starwars on friday

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 22 Dec 2008 09:51

8019 Republic Attack Shuttle £48.74
7751 Ahsoka's Starfighter £29.35
8014 Clone Walker £9.74
8015 Assassin Droids £9.74
8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter £29.24
The prices mostly seem OK. Ashoka's Starfighter seems nicely priced, however Vader's TIE should be £25 in my opinion. The 'gun Boat' as you call it should be more like £45. It looks awesome tohugh.

Posted by Smallsam99 in United States, 22 Dec 2008 10:04

How much is the square in usd?

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 22 Dec 2008 10:05

From what I understand, the Castle Town Square will only be available from Lego Stores and/or Lego.com...

Posted by littlelegoluke in United States, 22 Dec 2008 11:06

Do u guys no if the prices will be converted straight from pound to Doller or if lego will change it a little?

Posted by JSB23 in United States, 22 Dec 2008 12:37

There are miners in a Target in MN! I just wish I had money :'(

Posted by nath8888 in United States, 22 Dec 2008 14:47

The miners came out very well; I picked up a few. Be warned, the spinning piece doesn't work all the way on the Crystal Sweeper, and just needs a little work. The Granite Grinder is probably one of the better deals.

Posted by Captin Rex in United States, 22 Dec 2008 18:31

Na , I still think power miners are LAME! no offence. If you have one of the 09 starwars sets , please write a review. :)

Posted by xboard08 in United States, 22 Dec 2008 19:15

Just wanted to let people in the US know that I just called my local Lego store and the girl said they had the Medeival Market or Castle Town Square (I keep seeing it called both) in stock for $99.99.

You may want to call your local Lego stores and see if they have it.

Posted by xboard08 in United States, 22 Dec 2008 19:19

I should have added that the store I called was the one in Braintree, MA. They just got it in today.

Posted by aquafreak125 in United Kingdom, 22 Dec 2008 20:53

This is cool-very...VERY cool, I have 175 pounds and Im definately getting all the Glatorian and agori, also will get indy shanghai chase, that starwars AAT, and a couple of power miners sets (Mine mech and the bike)

Posted by jpetrasich in United States, 22 Dec 2008 21:12

Just grabbed one at the Anaheim, CA Lego Store (Downtown Disney). They had about a dozen on the shelf, so if you live near there, you better go quick. Now its going to kill me to wait the 3 days until Christmas to open it!

Posted by HobbesFan08 in United States, 22 Dec 2008 22:18

there was a toys r us ad in my local paper with miner and Indy sets along with bionicle... I can remember...

Sanghi chase... 39.95

Fight on flying wing... 49.95

I will try to find again for other prices

One last thing... What about trains

Posted by heath51937 in United States, 23 Dec 2008 01:54

The Lego Shop Flyer for January, here in LA lists the following the 2nd week of January:
"Get the new, exclusive Medievel Market Village now!
Item 10193, available exclusively in yhr LEGO stores, LEGO catalog, and online. See it built in the LEGO store gallery"

Sadly, it seems TRU and such will not have it.

Posted by abag in United States, 23 Dec 2008 07:20

hey about how longs notice is the average set posted on this site? The solar sailor looks amazing and i hope it comes out while i still have a little christmas.

Posted by abag in United States, 23 Dec 2008 07:21

a little christmas money,sorry

Posted by xboard08 in United States, 23 Dec 2008 12:37

Just picked up 10193 Medeival Market and 8401 Minifigure Collection at my local Lego store.

The girl told me they should have the rest of the Farm sets by mid January at the latest.

Posted by Meany007 in United States, 23 Dec 2008 13:53

How much is the Medeival Market in American dollars? I heard it before but I forgot. It's hereditary. :-D

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 23 Dec 2008 14:15

Castle Town Square rocks! Can't wait 'til it comes out in the U.S.

Posted by johnnyroger in United Kingdom, 23 Dec 2008 14:20

all of the 09 star wars and the flying wing(indie)
are at blue water lego store

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 23 Dec 2008 14:25

The Market Square is supposedly $99.99US. There are reports that it's popping up in LEGO Brand Stores already, but the official launch date is 1st Jan. Just to remind people, it's apparentlty a Shop-At-Home/Brand Store exclusive, so don't expect to see it in TRU, Target, etc.

Posted by andypat in United Kingdom, 23 Dec 2008 14:49

lego dozer is in argos!!!! UK though.price at £29.99. bit much.

Posted by xboard08 in United States, 23 Dec 2008 15:16

i dont know if anyone knows this but the hynea bomber thinghy is £21.45 or something stupdi like that

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 23 Dec 2008 17:08

No luck at my lego store but they tell me they're planning on putting up the town square "display" on the 5th. I had no intentions of investing in Castle this time around but then I saw early pictures of the town square and that was the end of that idea. :o)

Posted by disneyman626 in United States, 23 Dec 2008 18:28

My Lego store in Disney World had the town square, hyena droid bomber, horse trailer, crane, digger, dump truck, AAT, pirate line, and several new bionicles! My TRU also had both Indy Sets, so keep your eyes peeled US people!

Posted by legoville410 in United States, 23 Dec 2008 19:11

xboard
did you ask them if they have ANY new city sets??
(store is 30-45min away)

Posted by xboard08 in United States, 23 Dec 2008 20:46

Legoville410

They had the truck/horse trailer from the Farm series. I think they had some of the Construction sets as well but I didn't pay much attention. I just wanted to get in and get out because the mall was crazy.

I did ask the girl about the 3 Farm sets that aren't out yet and she said they will have them by mid January at the latest, maybe sooner.

Posted by brankell5566 in Canada, 23 Dec 2008 23:08

Im thinking the CASTLE TOWN SQUARE SET is going to be around $94-119 dollars CANADIAN! Mabye even less! I am really excited to get the NEW CITY sets and POWER MINERS!

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 24 Dec 2008 02:24

@andypat: the dozer is only £19.50 in LEGO brand stores, so someone has their price wrong. It does seem a bargain at that price so Argos probably have it right, unless it's one of those sets that will 'magically' reduce in price a few weeks after lanuch, like 2008's sea plane.

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 24 Dec 2008 07:34

The 2009 January LEGO catalogue lists it as £19.55.

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 24 Dec 2008 07:35

At Toys"R"Us, they're selling the new Glatorians for regular price but all other sets are extremely expensive.
