Advent day 20

    Day 20Day 20The City calendar is on a roll now: this snowmobile is perhaps the best mini-model we've had in the calendar so far. Very simple, but effective, and a great colour scheme!

    The TIE fighter is also very simple, but not quite so effective. It would have been nice it was to the same scale as the X-wing Fighter so as to enable some dog-fighting action!

TIE Fighter looks like it could be nicknamed "TILE fighter" with the 2x2 tiles being the wings. Pretty bad scale, so I agree fully.

Is it just me, or does the TIE look fat? :P

Hey Huw you know how you had an article about the lotr pictures well that same guy has pictures of the friends sets and it has an advent calender so that means there will be three advent calenders next year.

@Alemas: Yes, yes it does.

I think that snowmobile is actually TP in disguise :P It's defiantly the best model yet (Besides the bank) THe Tie-fighter is another masterpiece mini model.

@itsaturket: "TP"? :P

Posted by TooMuchLEGO in United States, 20 Dec 2011 18:39

@Alemas: Yeah, it had too many toilet paper rolls shoved up it. :)

@TooMuchLEGO: There goes another toilet roll joke. :P

Snowmobile looks like a children's sled, and the tie fighter is the worst model of the star wars advent calendar imo.

But at least we got a tie fighter pilot out of it.

LEGO could have at least put enough parts to make 3 tie fighters!

Love the orange colour scheme.

@Nightshroud99: I agree - should have been 3 TIE fighters. Definitely the poorest model in the calendar - however, speaking from New Zealand where we're a little bit ahead of some of you I can tell you that today/tomorrow's model more than makes up for it in terms of 'whoosh-ability'!

I don't mind the TIE Fighter, but I do agree that it is a bit...puny, unscaled. I could use LDD and make one much better, but I don't mind the one given at all.

Hey I (well my son) didin't receive the Tie Fighter but another SW model.

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 22 Dec 2011 15:57

Alemas: Yes, it's an abbreviation for Toilet Paper, TP. And it's 'Itsaturkey', not 'itsaturket' :P
johnnyfinlandia: Really? Are you sure he opened the right one?
