    Argos is listing 2012 Star Wars, Friends, Dino and much more on their website, for reserve and collect in-store for collection tomorrow.

    I've reserved a few Star Wars sets and will be down to my local branch first thing!

    (thanks to a smooth criminal and Callum for the tip-off!)

The dino HQ is listed at £79.99 there. Certainly a more reasonable price IMO. The star wars droid, cannon & X wing seem ok value however the tie fighter for £50 is quite shocking and the battle packs at £12 (previously £10) adds the greatest bitter of Lego prices.

Where are you seeing collect-in-store tomorrow? The earliest it gives me is Friday 30th, by which time I imagine they'll have normal stock in anyway.

And yet the battle packs (once reasonably priced) have taken a 20% hike to £12.00 having been £10 for quite a while :p.

@Thrund, maybe it depends on the size of the branch. Mine is an 'Extra' an had 'only 5 left' of some of the ones I reserved.

@Huw, that's probably why. I imagine the Extras got the first batch of stock and actually had it before Christmas. Friday will be the due date for the next batch, so as well as becoming available in the smaller stores, the Extras probably get restocked then as well.

Just picked up the Death Star Planet Set - printed base plate with the new Tie Pilot's printed head (not just a solid black head), and no China-sourced LEGO in sight!

Just popped to argos with my reservation number for the 9 New Star Wars sets to be told they didn't have them! What the point in having a reserve and collect service if they don't bother to reserve the items!!!

in two seperate argos shops i was refused purchase of any dino sets even though they wre in stock and on their instore checker. i was given no real explanation only in one store did they say they ere not allowed to sell until 31.12.11 and that the catalogue number was not recognised on their tills so unable to process to reserve.

Got the Heavy Lift Helicopter in the Liffey Valley Extra store in Dublin yesterday. Not on *any* internal systems but when I reserved it (one in stock) I was able to get it. Bizzare setup.

They appeared to have some forest police stuff in too but I'm not particularly interested in those.

Had same problem. Managed to reserve heavy lift helicopter to collect at argos stoke on tuesday as it was only shop in area with it in stock but when i got there was told that due to a glitch in the system they weren't able to sell anynew lego. Waste of a 40 mile round trip. Ordered it on line after being told that the shop at the discovery centre wouldn't get the forrest police till 6th january

i got all my dino sets req delivered by argos on thurs 28th, twio days before shop said they could sell me them??
are argos losing the plot or what
