The LEGO Kingdoms Joust set, jointly announced back at the beginning of October at BrickCon (USA) and The Great Western Lego Show (UK), is now available from LEGO Shop Online (UK, £100 | USA, $120) and from Brand Retail Stores in the UK (we haven't heard about it being available in other bricks and mortar stores - let us know if you see it anywhere).

If you were at either of the two events mentioned above, you will have had the opportunity to take a good look at the set 'in the flesh'; I spent a day 'baby sitting' the one at GWLS, so I got to know it fairly well, and it's a very nice set in my opinion.

I've also got a part-built one on the sofa next to me as I type this ... it belongs to my wife, so I must resist the tempation to do any of the assembly!

Picked mine up yesterday, and it is absolutely stunning. Best set since Diagon Alley.

Lovely set, will be getting mine tomorrow when I go to the Lego store on my birthday probably. By the way, not to seem rude, but I believe I pointed this out to you this morning so it would be nice to receive some credit.

Is it worth £99? Ie is it significantly larger and longer/better build than the MMV due to the extra cost?

I've been wanting this set to round out my Kingdoms collection since it was first announced, and I bought it as soon as I got the email from the online LEGO shop telling me it's available. Hoping to get it in the mail soon...it's like Christmas all over again, but better.

Cool thanks! I picked one up at Sacramento (On Vacation in norcal, luckily were 5 mins from a lego store!) They also had the Pirate Imperial Soldiers in the Build a mini bar which I thought were LONG gone so I picked up a set! Love those shakos!

@yys4u really you couldn't wait until you got back to San Diego to pick it up. You know we have a store now and I think the new catalog includes a 10% off an item coupon. ;)

Posted by yys4u in United States, 29 Dec 2011 03:20

@vwong hahaha well I was afraid it was gonna be something like the Super Heroes fun House that sold out within the hour at most stores so I had to get it asap. Plus it was kind of redemption for me to get something I really wanted since I've been looking this whole time for a clearance slave 1 and haven't found it, so to redeem myself for that failure I had to buy something.

And I luckily found the magazine at my door on my way out and brought it with me so I could flip through the pages on the drive so I did manage to use that 10% off coupon!

*Edit* Yea I am bummed I didn't get to go to the SD store though, I've bought so many sets the past couple days and I wish I could be spending that money at our local store, I wanna become a "regular" lol

One of the best sets from LEGO. It is much larger than I thought. Took me 5 casual hours to build while counting down to New Years. If you are an AFOL, there is no value in getting a 2nd set to beef up the build, you should be able to get the pieces needed from bricklink or from your collection...most of the pieces are common...except the Black Falcon Knight...he is awesome.

I would definitely recommend this finale to the Kingdoms series. C'mon LEGO...surprise us with New Black Falcon sets...or a castle for the Dragon Knights.

Spotted a shelf full of these at the Seattle (Bellevue Square) LEGO store, along with a good supply of Market sets (10193).
