I bet these will come in a newspaper promotion... :P

ooo this is good, I thought they were being cancelled for the new planet sets, but this is great news as I can buy cheaper mini sets again

30058, STAP looks like it will be good to get if you want a bunch of these for a Droid Army.

I'll pass on 30056, Star Destroyer as I falready have a Micro Scale set of this from much earlier. This is just a slightly smaller, variant model.

Where is Kram from? I'd also like to know at which store this was found if he's in the US.

That 30056 reminds me of that other mini-scale Star Destroyer from 2003, set 4492.

Aside from the colours, 30058 doesn't look much different to 30004. What a shocker, a less-than-original "new" Star Wars set...

Not sure what newspapers Jacob Wilson reads but I always see polybags near the cashiers at Target (when they aren't all sold out)

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 29 Dec 2011 12:10

@KillDeer: Newspaper promotions with LEGO sets are UK-only. :P

@Bobszaar - 'Kram' is based in the UK, but he's also an established Bricklink seller, so has contacts all over the world.

The Star Destroyer looks a bit odd in my opinion, the mini Star Destroyer from the Executor set is better than that one! The STAP looks decent, at least we can get our hands on a few Ep.1 brown STAPs rather than those blue ones.

Thought he used to be called keithkram, has he shortened his name?

These polys are both rehashes of mini's already done, come on TLG! Still, I do have a bit of a fetish for STAPs for some bizarre reason, so I'll take it.

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 29 Dec 2011 14:10

@atkinsar: Lots of "krams" here: http://www.brickset.com/myFriends/?field=name&query=kram But no "Kram". :P

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 29 Dec 2011 14:31

^ yes, but I happen to know that keithkram has a well established Bricklink store, so assumed that him and kram were one and the same.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 29 Dec 2011 16:13

My fault, I can never remember Keith's Brickset name. I'll correct it.

Posted by keithkram in United Kingdom, 29 Dec 2011 18:13

My brickset name is keithkram, my bricklink store is called kram

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 29 Dec 2011 19:02

@keithkram: Thanks for clearing that up. :)

Star Destroyer looks cool. Does anyone know the price of 9495 Gold Leader's Y-Wing Starfighter? (any currency)

Posted by seppo21 in United States, 29 Dec 2011 20:29

49.99 USD per the catalog that arrived today.

Not bad. STAP is very good))) Better then older.

KeithKram actually only lives a few minutes down the road from me. I can't tell you the number of times I've looked at the goodies in his store, realised I couldn't afford them and wondered what his movements were like during the day. :o)

Those mini Star Destroyers are roughly the same scale as the Super Star Destroyer, and look better than the one that's included. I think I may have to pick more than a few... ;)

I hope these become avaible in Target or Toys r us (It's unfair how the UK has a newspaper that gives free Lego and The U.S.A doesn't)

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 31 Dec 2011 11:20

@seppo21 - Thank you.
