Wow, LEGO's pricing difference from country to country is absolutely appalling. In U.S. dollars, there's a five dollar difference between the TIE Fighter, X-Wing and Y-Wing ($50/55/60). In British pounds they all cost the same (£50). In the Swedish store their prices are 599 Swedish kronas for the TIE Fighter and Y-Wing and a whopping 749 for the X-Wing. Not even the 599 prices are truly comparable to their dollar/pound prices (599 SEK = £55/$87) and the 749 is just outrageous (749 SEK = £71/$108!!!). How about setting prices that reflect a currency's actual value, LEGO? There's no reason whatsoever for a Swede to buy any of their bigger sets from a Swedish store. I could buy them from Amazon UK at full retail price, pay a bit added VAT, get free shipping (with no risk of customs since its within the EU) and still save money. Talk about doing Swedish stores and customers a huge disservice.

I really like the Y wing and am glad the Y wings price tag is only £49.99 (as the S@h catalogue says £59.99 (maybe I'm speaking too soon)) but still with a $49.99 price tag it should really be £39.99 (oh well).

Also the dino HQ has gone down £10 to £79.99 But I'm afraid the 2011 Sw Bps have gone up to £11.99 which is possibly a marketing technique to make the new ones not look so expensive for new customers alike.

I dont like how the droids fit in sideways... I haven't really collected any SW stuff since maybe late 90's early 2000's, have the droids always fit in this way?

Dang! The prices keep getting higher and Higher, since the 2005 TIE fighter was $20 ,now the new one is $55.

But theres also double the amount of pieces and way more figures. All in all more=more.

Are those really stickers on the side of the y-wing? Dummmmbbbbbb

@yys4u - No, they went in horizontal with the first wave x-wing, y-wing, and naboo fighter sets but they changed to the "sideways" fit with the newer waves. Looking at the originals that I own, I honestly think that the vertical fit is quite nice. They fit in a lot nice and they don't need to worry about making the back so wide.

ooh that y-wing was marked as £59.99 in the catalogue but is only £49.99 on the lego site. Still not exactly a bargain but thats £10 less than I was expecting to pay :)

@zjygkmatt - Those stickers really are not that bad, they are very easy to apply and look fine once you have got them on there.

Sad to say it's pricing like this that made me switch my collecting from exclusively Starwars to practically anything and everything. I might not be saving money buying into all these other themes but at least I can say I'm not spending more money doing it.

I still love Starwars sets, but at some point I had to clue into the fact that I just can't afford to buy remakes when they're being priced up 50% higher than their original creations. My only hope of owning some of these new sets is if I get one heck of a sale.

@Capnrex, they do look fine, but Im more worried with them coming off. I have a few where even on flat surfaces, they are starting to come up, so I cant imagine over time on a round surface. They don't seem that sticky from my experience.
