    40028: Mini Hogwarts Express

If, like me, you didn't want to buy another Diagon Alley just to get a mini Hogwarts Express, you'll be pleased to know that you can now buy it from shop.LEGO.com.

Although it was never sold for what is claimed is its full price of £7.99, it's now included in the sale for £6.39. That's still vastly overpriced for a 64 piece kit but if you're a polybag collector and you don't already have it, I suspect you'll buy it whatever the price...

    (Thanks ljames28 for the news)

Yeah right: $1M, Do I see $2M? Yes, I do. $3M, $4M, $5M. Going, going, gone! Sold to the idiot it the corner who would buy 64 Lego bricks for way more than it is worth.

I don't need it seeing as how I have the big one and the only polybags I have are the Lego store sea serpent army man jeep and the ninjago sword holder.

When I was in the Brighton lego store there was a guy that bought about 10 that were on sale, he'll be really annoyed now.

If you are near Norwich, they were selling these off for £4.99 each in GAME earlier this week. Not sure if they have any left. Maybe this was a promotional item with one of the games?

@Diodrama
"Maybe this was a promotional item with one of the games?"
I don't think so. I believe that it was sold in a polybag (see the article above).

^ It was a free polybag with pre-orders of Harry Potter years 5-7 on Ds from game online (not sure about in stores)

Wow! so I should have waited and not purchased the one on ebay for $$

^ Nah - better safe than sorry. The world is full of LEGO fans who waited, missed out and ended up paying through the nose as a result. Cafe Corner, anybody....?

Although it looks cool, it's not worth $10. I think I'll pass

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 10 Jan 2012 17:48

Gone now, and I of all people missed it :-(

Posted by wRuB in United Kingdom, 10 Jan 2012 19:22

Checked it after I posted my comment and it was a bad link. Guess it was gone by then! :(

I have a couple of these for sale or trade, Happy to trade for other polybags, PM to discuss.

They were selling them at my local Lego store for $9.99. Yeah, I passed. Besides why would I spend money on that when I could have gotten more Series 6 minifigures instead. :D
