Battle Of Hoth

I managed to track it down this morning in Argos, which I believe is the first retalier in the world to be selling it.It costs £25 and comprises 272 parts, including 32 microfigs which I think is the most to appear in a LEGO game. What makes these special, of course, is that they are Star Wars characters which, despite their size, are instantly recognisable as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Han Solo, General Veers, snowtroopers and rebel troops.
The playing pieces are miniature versions of Hoth vehicles and creatures and are very detailed. The Tauntaun is my favourite and it would not have looked out of place in the Advent calendar. As well as the figs, there are some unique parts in it: four printed tiles and four 1x4 trans-clear tiles which have never appeared in a set before. Here are pictures of the box and contents, the set under construction and the playing pieces:
Update: I've played the game now. I don't know how it compares with other recent LEGO games, but basically it's a strategy game with the roll of a dice thown in to add an element of luck. The object is to either wipe out your opponent's forces or reach their base. Like chess, different pieces attack in different directions. It's not too bad I suppose, and, like other LEGO games, there's plenty of variations suggested to keep it interesting.
