... however we could be in for disappointment.

The guys over at The Brick Show snuck in a day early and grabbed some photos from the LEGO stand. However, as you can see from this picture and others on their website it looks as if LEGO is displaying prototypes and not the finished models!

In this picture we can see a white Jabba instead of the lovely olive green, printed, one seen in Germany and many of the other images show unfinished minifig protoypes.

I can only guess that LEGO hasn't sent the models shown in Germany to the US and they are instead showing earlier versions already in the country. Wwe'll have to wait to see more pictures to see if this is the case of if the real ones are hidden away somewhere.

It wouldnt be a great move by lego to show off half finished products at the most image heavy toy fair.

I heard they show off unfinished stuff in display cases and the proper models soem other place? if thats how it really is I don't know.

Hoping for greatness!

Disappointing but at least they have the actual Sith Troopers at the NY Toy Fair unlike everywhere else which look outstanding. I am still desperate to discover whether the Old Republic Trooper has a helmet or not!

Yeah those Sith troopers look amazing! Also, I like that new-blue bicycle. :)

ls it so hard to take pictures of the Monster Fighters or LOTR sets???

Posted by BrickBob Studpants in Switzerland, 12 Feb 2012 06:25

Those pictures were taken in the public area of the Toy Fair, more finalized versions of the sets are usually displayed in the restricted VIP area that only invited guests like the guy(s) from fbtb have access to ;)

Did anyone else notice the Dark Troopers in that Tie Fighter thing?

They have lots of Avengers Lego too at that Fair. Iron Man looks awful, but the rest look awesome. So hyped about that... they will be on my 'to get' list!

Have no fear, final minifigs are here! The SW Minifigs from Germany are now in NY. Action Figure Insider has coverage of the LEGO sets, and as of now we've seen Marvel, Star Wars, LOTR, and Monster Fighters from them.

The Brick Show guys have a video up on their YouTube with a really up close look at the LOTR Mines of Moria set, and they say that's just a sneak peek. Looks amazing!

Hey All! The sets on the outside of the LEGO display were more prototypes but the ones we saw this morning at the breakfast were the real deal, for the most part. We'll be posting videos of each individual set on our YouTube channel and website over the next few days. LEGO was very helpful and gave press free reign on photos/vidoes for the press.

We ran into the FBTB guys here and they will have some killer photos too.

@Legolover9531: Thanks for that link, the pictures on that site are great, I like the close ups of so many sets. So excited with LOTR, I was wondering how they would do Helm's Deep in a way that was still true to the films, and I am pleased with what they came up with (though that set will probably be an incredibly high price).

Jabba needs some sun

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 12 Feb 2012 21:07

Wow, those look awesome! Despite some unfinished figures, they look great. Too bad the Sith Troopers aren't the KotOR versions, they're still...well awesome :P My 'cool' vocabulary is very limited :P

Posted by Rockman Xtreme in United States, 12 Feb 2012 21:36

Jabba in that pic looks like a pale, fat slob that never has seen the sun. I can't wait for lego LOTR.
