Posted by Huw, 16 Feb 2012 13:46. Filed under Brickset.

Here's your chance to see the Star Wars Miniland Experience at LEGOLAND Windsor before anyone else!

We have teamed up with LEGOLAND Windsor Resort to bring you an opportunity to win one of two pairs of tickets to the pre-season preview event on 10th March.

All you have to do is answer one simple question on the competition entry form before midnight on 26th February (next Sunday).

The competition is open to residents of the UK only, who are able to make their own way to the park on the day. See the terms and conditions on the entry form for more information.

Myself and bluemoose will be there, taking photos for Brickset. The winners will be welcome to meet up with us if they'd like to!

What is the right answer? :p

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 16 Feb 2012 13:57

I think it's either A, B, C, or D. Definitely not E.

Huw, methinks you mean 26th Feb, right? :)
I'm definitely entering, Windsor is not exactly a galaxy far, far away from me!

Are the models in the picture anything to do with the competition? I like the look of them. I hope I win but if not I look forward to the pictures you take.

If I win, because I have asperger Syndrome, I will be able to have a discount & skip ques! Anyone want to come with me?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 16 Feb 2012 14:49

^^^ Yes, I've already changed it!

I won't be entering mainly due to my work and education, but wish the best of luck for everyone else! =)

Edit:
Also I have been there 3/4 times recently and kinda need a break from there...

Oops. I entered, but I'm not in the UK, and I wouldn't be able to go. Could you take me off?

Just to be clear, the Windsor park is closed to the public until 26th March. The event on the 10th March is strictly invitation only. It's a special media event to launch the new Star Wars Miniland area, so I don't believe any of the shops will be open or rides running. This is your opportunity to be one of the first people to see the new Star Wars Miniland at Windsor and to see it away from the public crowds that are likely to be around it once the park opens for the spring season a few weeks later. I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea & thinking this is a regular day at Legoland Windsor, and they are just getting free entry to the park ... so, no queues to skip (because there is nothing to queue for), no retail discounts (because there is nothing to buy), no need for Merlin Premium Passes to gain entry (because the prize is the tickets that are the only way to get entry to the event). If you win (and good luck to everyone that enters) all you need to do is turn up an the front gate of the park at the right time on the right day :-)

^ Thank you for clarifying that. I did allude to this in the Ts and Cs but not everyone read them, it seems :)

Ok, fair enough. This sorts everything out now.

The email validation on the form is broken.
"a+b@goo.bar" is perfectly valid (left hand side can contain plus, GMail use it for auto adding labels, for instance).

The regular expression in use is

^[a-zA-Z][\w\.-]*[a-zA-Z0-9]@[a-zA-Z0-9][\w\.-]*[a-zA-Z0-9]\.[a-zA-Z][a-zA-Z\.]*[a-zA-Z]$

^ Wait, how come your message color is grey not yellow? You're still a mod right? I don't want to seem rude I was just wondering :)

At first glance I thought 3PO shot R2 in the dome, like a stone cold gangster. Oil splatter action shot.
