9397 B modelIf you're a fan of large Technic models you'll be pleased to hear that LEGO has published instructions for the 'B' model for 9397 Logging Truck, a dump truck with plough.

You can download them as two PDFs from technic.LEGO.com.

Although I count myself as a fan of large Technic models I can't bring myself to build the B models: the A models take so long to build and an equally long time to dismantle that I never take them apart. I guess I'll just have to buy two...

On this particular model did anyone else get a "substandard" sticker sheet? The glue on mine was such that you couldn't peel them on and off the model at all, not even to get them straight. It wasn't the usual glue Lego use. Once they were on, they were on!

I wondered if some sticker sheets were now being made more cheaply. This one clearly was, unless it was faulty.

I like the aesthetic of the B-model a lot more than the Logger.

Was looking to pick up this or the Unimog at TRU (Canada) with their 20% off sale but all 3 stores near me only had the Backhoe... very annoying!

@Dimefield: I had the same idea, since at $180, it's the worst price-per-piece I've seen for a Technic set since Motorized Excavator. I asked the customer service desk at my local TRU in Edmonton if there was a listing for this set, and there isn't. It's unlikely that TRU will be carrying this one in stores due to the high price (Unimog was only ever available in low quantities during Christmas), but maybe it'll pop up online some day. I'm heading to Denver in May, and will probably pick it up then, for a respectable $140.

Yeah... i saw it with the 20% discount around xmas but was too busy buying other things (in Edmonton too) and figured it will come around again. I just think its unfair to have 20% off ALL technic and only stock mainly one set for the duration of the sale.
