Blizzard's Peak and Fire Lord will be on 1/2 price starting tomorrow (March 16-22) at Toys R Us Canada.
I would advise calling before hand to see about stock levels.
I too would suggest anyone interested in BlizzardPeak to call ahead of making a trip into TRU. I was there about a week ago and I honestly don't recall seeing any of the World Racers theme. On the bright side, they don't usually put a set for half-40% off unless they have stock spilling off the shelves. Zellers previously offered a much steeper discount on this set (as well as City Corner), and seeing how I resisted that, I'd say I'm immune to any temptation from Toys"R"us. It's the last World Racers set I need to complete a collection, but it's really the one set I'm not interested in owning (regardless of discount).... Well, at least TRU posted another flyer.
Zellers had $50 off the Blizzards Peak and City Corner. IMO, the Blizzards Peak set sucks. IT is overpriced, the box is too large, and once you've built the whole thing you feel like you got ripped off.
I personally own this set and I don't think it's that great. The set itself is not very appealing; however, if you're looking for a large variety of elements, this set has some pretty random pieces such as the spiked helmets, white rocks, blue balls with launchers, treads, big wheels and some pieces even come in odd numbers. I rebuilt the set and combined it with the Snake Canyon set into two carrier vehicles for the motorcycles. Just a suggestion. :)
TRU has this on sale before christmas as well. It's not a bad set but I did buy it just for pieces. I do recall seeing some when i was in the London TRU a week ago.
They still have World Racers in stock? Wow oh wow.
