    10218: Pet Shop
    Advanced Models/Modular Buildings, 2011

Valid Sunday 3/25 through Saturday 3/31, Toys R Us is running yet another Buy One, Get One 50% Off promotion.  Friends, Star Wars and Super Heroes sets are unfortunately excluded.  That being said, there are currently a number of nice sets in stock including but not limited to the Pet Shop (10218), Grand Emporium (10211) and Maersk Train (10219).

As always, try to pair sets at similar price points and with the least TRU markup in order to maximize your savings.

Not to be outdone, Target will have the following sets on sale:

    • Ambulance (4431) 25% Off MSRP
    • Ninjago Starter Set (9579) 25% Off MSRP
    • Stephanie's Cool Convertible (3183) 13% Off MSRP
    • Propeller Adventures (7292) 10% Off MSRP
    • Duplo Creative Sorter (6784) 10% Off MSRP
    • Other LEGO City, Ninjago and Creator sets also on Sale

Lastly, Five Below is now selling Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Clone Wars Nintendo DS Armor Case Kits.  These kits come with neat mosaic tiles much like the previous Star Wars and Indiana Jones cases but you also receive a couple of stackable Brick Game Cases as well as a minifigure, be it Harry potter, Jack Sparrow or Obi Wan Kenobi.  This is a pretty good deal at $5 a kit, even if you don't own a Nintendo DS.

As always, keep an eye on Amazon as they are likely to price match any/all discounted sets.

Update 1: Removed (Update from Forum turned out to be erroneous)

Update 2: This weeks TRU promotion is live as is last week's promotion.  Thus, this is a great opportunity to stack your savings.  For example, pairing the Forest Police Station with the Police Helicopter nets nearly 31% Off MSRP.  Additionally, Wolverine's Chopper Showdown is registering both discounts for pre-orders.

Too bad too I wanted to get some pet shops

Should probably change update 1 to "up to 25%" off because the ambulance was the only one I saw at that level at Target. Still not a bad deal but sometimes the Target sales are just 1 to 3 dollars off.

will this offer come to the u.k ? do any of you know.

Dirt Bike Transporter and Dump Truck are NOT 25% off...just came back from Target, and bought both of them for a total 10% off MSRP.

Actually, the only City set 25% off was the Ambulance...

Not sure if any cares but the friends (most) sets were on sale as well at Target. Finally picked up the house for $10 off. Most others were only $1 or $2 off. Some weren't on sale at all.

The Friends Beauty Shop was $5 off at Target, a 20% discount. Picked up that and the ambulance (25% off). Most other sets were only 5-10% discounts.

3315 is $10 (14%) off, 3930/3931 is $1 (17%) off, 9443 is $5 (17%) off, 4441 is $5 (14%) off, and 4439 isn't on sale (despite it being a city set and all the other sets in that theme [Forest Police] are on sale).

However, on the online site, 5767 is 47% off, which may mean it's going be retiing soon.

EDIT: Fixed math.

I have always missed these sales but this was a good one and I'm regretting that I did not get more. TRU actually had a sale earlier in the week for 10% off. Well I was able to get 2 Tower Bridges and 2 Maersk Trains for 10% off PLUS the BOGO 50% off. I feel like I got a great deal but wished I would have picked up some Pet Stores and Grand Emporiums because they were available. The Fire Brigade, however, was not available otherwise I would have gotten those.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 25 Mar 2012 22:49

The reason I asked was because the Pet Store was sold out the last BOGO sale in which I managed to get 2 Fire Brigades and 2 Grand Emporiums within minutes of them selling out. On my cell phone I put 2 Pet Stores in my cart and it didn't give me 5O% off. I switched over to my computer which was right in front of me and it was sold out.

I'm not worried about not getting the Pet Store, but I wished the Fire Brigade was available because it is a great set for parts. Lots of dark red and windows. I want the Hillside House, but can't see spending $71 for a set that small...even with the BOGO.

If anyone interested, Pet Store is available again at least at the time of this post. T1 camper was available for like 40 minutes earlier today.

Also, some sets at TRU are below MSRP, the two I noticed are
LEGO Creator Winter Village Post Office (10222) is $59.99 (MSRP $64.99)
LEGO Architecture Robie House (21010) is $179.99 (MSRP $199.99)

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 28 Mar 2012 13:21

If anyone can afford the $180 for the house and another $90 for the other one, that is 33% off.
