    8039: Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser
    Star Wars/The Clone Wars, 2009
    More details...
    ©2009 LEGO Group

8039 is now listed on LEGOShop.com, priced at  £97.85 in the UK and €139 in most Euro-zone countries, and is available now.

This is sure to be a popular set: it's been in Brickset's popular searches list since day one of the new site launch and is in the top ten of the most wanted set list, so order 8039 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser  from LEGOshop.com now!

It's still marked as unavailable in the US and Canada.

LEGO's products launched in 2009icon list now lists all summer releases, even the Star Wars ones, although these, and the Space Police 3 sets are marked as not available and the SW sets (other than 8039) have no images.

Thanks to Steven M for the tip-off!.

EDIT - It looks like the 3 new Castle & 2 of the new Space Police sets are now priced & available to order across most of Europe & Australia/New Zealand. Oddly, Space Police is still not listed for Germany or Austria.

Posted by legomakes3 in United States, 01 Jun 2009 17:32

Could this mean an "early" release of the licensed Lego sets? WELL I HOPE SO! =)

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 01 Jun 2009 17:43

WAHOOOO... They are coming! Finally we can order them!

Posted by Danson Delta-40 in United States, 01 Jun 2009 17:45

Still We got the other sets first...

Guys, they also have The Y-Wing Starfighter, Tank Droid and Sepratist's Shuttle, and The Battle of Endor, although they all say "Not Avaliable"

@Sev: Yes, I know that!

Posted by baylego in United States, 01 Jun 2009 18:31

I can't wait for their arrival in the U.S! If the sets are already in the U.K, then I think that they should be available very soon in the U.S and Canada.

... Anxiously awaiting an announcement of a UCS version of this ship!!!!!!

Posted by GeøDav in United States, 01 Jun 2009 19:14

Anyone else noticed this.. ?

It's the Echo Base set (7749) listed in the Lego Shop but as 'unavailable'.

Posted by ShatteredGnome in United States, 01 Jun 2009 19:14

I'm ready for summer! This set looks cool, but I think I'll wait 'till it goes on clearance at Wal Mart or something.

Posted by jack75 in United States, 01 Jun 2009 19:19

When will it be in America? :-(

Posted by clone commander trainrex in United States, 01 Jun 2009 19:20

Fantastic. Star Wars sets are everywhere. They will proabably be entering the US within days.

Didn't someone say star wars comes to the US today? (June 1)

Posted by Republic Commando Sev in United States, 01 Jun 2009 21:19

@Clone Commander Trainrex: I'm not sure if that was the date, but hey, the day's not over yet! *laughs*

finally new clone wars!!! hey but if you look at the Lego page for the venator in UK, you'll notice that the venator is the only one listed, maybe the venator will come out in days in US and others later, just a thought. The one thing that bugs me is the venator is "Hard to Find" that means time to go to Toys'R'Us and to pay 10 dollars extra (sigh) but its worth it.

Posted by Republic Commando Sev in United States, 01 Jun 2009 23:25

Do any of the images on Lego.com of the Venator work for you guys?
When I click on the "More Images" button, it just loads and loads and loads and loads some more, but it never comes up.

According to Skipp the 2 impulse sets from SPIII are available @ TRU in Germany, so the main sets could come soon as well? Maybe first @ TRU like the new Star Wars sets, but I guess you don't release the impulse sets without the main sets coming later? Or does LEGO have a history with that?

Posted by keithkram in United Kingdom, 02 Jun 2009 02:40

have you noticed some of the prices of older sets have gone up, like power miners have a £1 added to most of the set prices, i.e 8957 gone up from 5.85 to 6.85 overnight.

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 02 Jun 2009 05:17

Hey, now the Power Miners, Castle, and Racers websites have the new summer set information and pictures!

Posted by clone commander trainrex in United States, 02 Jun 2009 05:36

@Republic Commando Sev
The same thing happens to me. My guess is that they won't appear because they arent there yet. Probably because lego doesn't want to give too much away.

Also I checked in Sweden where it says available now and it doesn't appear there either

Posted by clone commander trainrex in United States, 02 Jun 2009 05:49

I checked the countries that use Euros and the price of the Venator and in some countries are more expensive.

In Italy and Ireland it is the least expensive. In Portugal and Spain it is the MOST EXPENSIVE.

So now I can't even estimate the price it will be in the USA.

Posted by Smallsam99 in United States, 02 Jun 2009 06:02

Legos are skyrocketing in price everywhere and if it that much in Europe than it is far more expensive in the u.s. and this really should be a $100 set at most.

Posted by catman625 in United States, 02 Jun 2009 07:34

Cool that it will be coming out soon, but boo that it isn't out in the U.S. yet. :(

Posted by BioFreak877 in United States, 02 Jun 2009 08:14

I just can't wait to get this! The blue clone guards look awesome!

Posted by bigospedros in United Kingdom, 02 Jun 2009 08:17

what a ridiculous price ... it's smaller, has less pieces and less figs than 6211 ISD and yet it's £18 more expensive?!

Posted by fujikuro in United States, 02 Jun 2009 08:27

C'mon now, it's natural that prices will go up. Are you really expecting that Lego (or any other toy company) are going to freeze prices? They're not in the business of trying to save you money you know.

Posted by FiletOFish67 in United States, 02 Jun 2009 08:44

^ That's right--they're in it to milk every dime out of us ;). I can definitely relate to bigospedros' frustration.

Posted by Republic Commando Sev in United States, 02 Jun 2009 09:10

Lego raises the prices, because they know that even if they raise the prices really high, we will still buy there sets.

and star wars echo base

Posted by keithkram in United Kingdom, 02 Jun 2009 11:34

and the battle of endor (sorry for all the posts, have been adding them as i have been adding them to my basket

Posted by space police fan in United States, 02 Jun 2009 11:38

Hopefully they come out in the US before August, because my birthday is before that. Nice win though UK!

Posted by Wiseman_2 in United Kingdom, 02 Jun 2009 11:54

Still no Technic though... but as they have put the SPIII sets up in the last few hours (I checked about 4 hours ago and they were unavailable) they might put them up soon enough.

Or not, as I didn't see them appear until August in stores last year.

Posted by Zwing in United Kingdom, 02 Jun 2009 12:09

When I checked, all the spIII were available

Posted by c.lee.r in United States, 03 Jun 2009 02:07

Can't Wait to buy.

Posted by Zwing in United Kingdom, 03 Jun 2009 13:56

Should be £10 cheaper

Posted by Greyface in United States, 05 Jun 2009 16:42

Urrrg... I don't have this kind of money!

Posted by Zwing in United Kingdom, 06 Jun 2009 07:28

This is overpriced, 6211 had around 200 more pieces and is £17 cheaper and almost has 2x more minifigs

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 06 Jun 2009 16:13

Weird that the US didn't get it first...but I'm glad that everybody else in the world got it first for a change! :)

P.S. While we're on the subject of Star Wars, I still can't believe that the Clones Battle Pack (7655) is the most owned set among Brickset users AND beating the runner-up, the Droids Battle Pack (7654), by 208 people as of today! :O

This must be overpriced because of the blue clones

Posted by Tb96 in Sweden, 11 Jun 2009 07:22

Too expensive!

Posted by Zwing in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2009 14:14

When I looked at lego shop UK again today (like last time I looked) this was the only new star wars set on there. The only difference on there was a heading advertising the new lego games. They are coming july 1st.

Posted by commander_cody in Finland, 12 Jun 2009 11:14

want it , but it's out of my pricerange ...
