annndd I can't get it -_- too many people on

Posted by gman13579 in United States, 04 May 2012 00:08

the R2-D2

Posted by dougts in United States, 04 May 2012 00:13

10212 is NOT on sale in the US.

Posted by dougts in United States, 04 May 2012 00:14

Ok, now it is

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 04 May 2012 00:15

Nope IS is not marked down in US... Yet ahh, just took a while. Ill pass for 207.

ALSO you can get the TC-14 fig and post with ANY $75 purchase right now on S@H
I bought two Funhouses and got the Post and Figure in my cart.

Hmmm, makes you wonder, Grievious Starfighter is sold out and came out the same year as IS.....

Posted by vpustote in United States, 04 May 2012 00:29

I'm not sure if this worked or not, but I was able to change the quantity of the TC-14 figure and the Poster. I added 3 of each and ordered. I am even looking at my print out copy of the order and it says 3 of each.

BUUUUTTT when I went back to order another set, I wasn't able to do it again. Maybe I just got lucky. I ordered at midnight on the dot.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 04 May 2012 00:38

Interesting.. too bad I already ordered.. did not think about trying that, pretty sure mine did not allow for Quantity changes

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 00:39

The shuttle didn't show up on sale the first few minutes for some reason. I purchased The Imperial Shuttle, Star Destroyer. I made 5 seperate purchases. I bought some other stuff as well. I'm glad I waited.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 04 May 2012 00:41

I think the only real good deals are the IS and SSD.. the rest are enough to really pay for your tax, which I guess is nice for those needing to save a few bucks, but generally not worth it.
'
AND IS could be EOL soon as well.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 00:44

TC-14 is already going for $50 on Ebay. I wonder if that price will stay the same after this promotion is over?

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 04 May 2012 00:59

Doubtful. After tomorrow (when people can get to LEGO stores) I'm guess it is going to about 30, then will get down to about 20, like ARF trooper did.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 01:09

I just made another purchase and I was able to get the figure and the poster without purchasing any Star Wars.

Posted by lovaquero in United States, 04 May 2012 01:12

does anyone remember if they add more/different sets on may 5th? I simply cannot remember from last year...

Posted by scratchdesk in United States, 04 May 2012 01:38

ordered the mini-modulars and I qualified.

Posted by MinifiguresPlus.com in United States, 04 May 2012 02:07

@madforlegos speaking of ARF trooper... anybody want some? I have a bunch of them and will sell for $25

Also in response to your other comment earlier: It does appear to be that they are giving TC-14 with any purchase over $75. Do you suppose it is a fluke? I certainly hope not as my orders will be going in tomorrow.

Posted by jengafett in United Kingdom, 04 May 2012 02:20

if you just want the minifigure buy a set which is over $75 then sell it on ebay, 1 free minifigure!

or if you want a free set you could buy a set around $75 to get the tc-14, and sell the tc-14 on ebay for $75, 1 free set!

Posted by Mickitat in Germany, 04 May 2012 04:19

This offer is also available in Germany. I just ordered 10212 at 20% off and all three promotional items (mini-Tie, poster, minifig) were added at checkout.

Happy Star Wars day everyone, May the 4th be with you. I think my Darth Maul polybags may have arrived from Czechoslovakia. This is going to be a great day.

Posted by Legozrool in United States, 04 May 2012 08:05

I got six battle packs and a series 7 figure

Should be getting a poster + TC-14 :)

Ps do u not get a tie polybag in the US?????????

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 04 May 2012 08:29

^That was for the first half or so of April.

Posted by Legozrool in United States, 04 May 2012 08:51

Oh drat

Posted by MvdS in Netherlands, 04 May 2012 09:12

I'm having troubles placing the order.
Everything is filled out right.
What's wrong...I'm gonna miss my May the 4th be with you -promo's.

Posted by Leggo my LEGO in Canada, 04 May 2012 09:15

Im going to get the TIE Fighter and the planet sets death star.

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 04 May 2012 09:19

@MvdS - I also had trouble placing my order. I tried different browsers, different credit cards, dumping and reloading my cart and yet nothing would happen when I clicked "place order." I finally gave up after 9 hours and had LEGO Customer Service release it for me over the phone. They too were unable to see any issue as to why it wasn't working. The only downside is that Brickset won't get the affiliate income for my puchase.

Posted by vwong19 in United States, 04 May 2012 09:45

I don't know if it is a bug but you do not have to buy any star wars sets to get the tc-14 online. Bought some super heroes and collectibles minifigs and tc14 was added to cart.

Posted by flash0222 in United States, 04 May 2012 10:26

I placed 2 orders this morning, and got one confirmation email about an hour later, another 2 hours later, and still haven't gotten the 2nd confirmation. :(

Posted by lovaquero in United States, 04 May 2012 10:37

^ It takes a while when their system gets bogged down. As long as you have the confirmation number from the oder page you have proof that the order was placed and can always call to follow up.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 04 May 2012 11:24

Yes, as of this morning I believe you can get other items and still get the figure as long as you spend the $75.

Im guessing LEGO will close this loophole sometime today as I believe they did last May the 4th.

I wonder if LEGO will do anything for the 5th....

Posted by flash0222 in United States, 04 May 2012 11:26

Went to my order status page, and I can see both orders, even though I only got 1 email confirmation.

Woot, SSD and mini-modulers on the way with 2 tc-14 :)

Next time I'm going to print the confirmation page!

Posted by vpustote in United States, 04 May 2012 11:36

@flash, I agree, I should have printed the confirmation page, I only got 1 email confirmation out of the three.

But I am glad it was the confirmation with 3 TC-14's!!!

Posted by Chills in United States, 04 May 2012 12:02

Ordered the Millennium Falcon and I get a TC-14. Got the confirmation email, too. Thanks Lego!

Posted by flash0222 in United States, 04 May 2012 12:08

arrgh, just noticed that they have 7066 (Earth Defense HQ) for %50 off available....

My Wife's gonna kill me, but there goes a 3rd order for 2 of them. (and another TC-14)

$44.98 for 879 pieces was too much to pass up. 2 of them gets the free shipping, poster and TC-14 too...

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 12:15

I placed several orders including one for the SSD and one for the Shuttle. I only got confirmation emails for 2 of my orders.

Posted by ecmo47 in United States, 04 May 2012 12:20

FlASH0222: I've got 1 out of 5 confirmation emails thus far. Two of those orders were placed 6 hours ago. Where did you find the order satutus page?

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 12:21

I just looked on Lego.shop and all my orders (6) are all saying "In Process" so I imagine the system is just overloaded. Any thoughts?

I did receive an email confirmation for the order I made without purchasing Star Wars and TC-14 was included.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 12:23

Order Status Page is right below SHOP on the website

Posted by ecmo47 in United States, 04 May 2012 12:24

^ Never mind. I finally found it! One is in "customer service" and the other 4 are "in process".

Posted by lovaquero in United States, 04 May 2012 12:31

ALL: I've placed 9 orders and received -0- emails confirmations, although ALL 9 orders are showing up on the Order Status page. Don't stress about the confirmation emails. I order more Lego than I care to admit from Shop.com and I rarely get any emails anymore. That part of the online system is borken.

"In-process" means that this order is on its way to the warehouse for fullfillment

"Customer Service" means that a real person needs to review the order before moving it to "In-process". This is normally because the system flagged the order (typically due to payment/address misalignment). This shows up more and more due to the drop-shipment issues caused by idiot scam sellers on eBay, etc.

I bougth the R2-D2 in the morning and i got a TC-14, a Poster, a Mini Tie fighter and Free shipping !
It´s a realy good day to buy Lego SW.

Posted by Philadelphia in Austria, 04 May 2012 14:16

I have been in this checkout loop for hours... (Austrian store)
does anyone know how to get this fixed?

Posted by lovaquero in United States, 04 May 2012 14:37

^ call Customer Service. It's just as easy and you get all the same deals as online. And they tend to be pretty nice as well =)

Posted by Bumblepants in Cameroon, 04 May 2012 15:06

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 04 May 2012 15:43

@Philadelphia - I thought it was just me. :o/

Posted by Acadia in United States, 04 May 2012 16:54

10212 Imperial Shuttle is currently out of stock! Rats, I was planning on buying that.

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 04 May 2012 17:29

If it goes out of stock, you can still order it, it just takes a little longer to be delivered. Same with R2-D2 and the superstar destroyer.

Posted by airgap25 in United States, 04 May 2012 17:48

out of stock but U still can order ImS 10212...right?

Posted by lovaquero in United States, 04 May 2012 17:57

correct - Only if it says "sold out" or "call for availability" should you worry about not being able to order. Also, you get the deals based on the order date, not the ship date.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 18:17

Received an email saying that my one of my orders has been shipped already, yet I never received a order confirmation email for that order. Looks like things are alittle loopy, but eventually will get sorted out.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 18:28

What we learned so far:

- You can still get the promotion without ordering just Star Wars
- You probably won't get an email confirming every one of your orders
- The ordering process may be slower than usual as Lego may be checking into "drop shipments"
- Just because the item is out of stock doesn't mean you can't order it still
- Lego seems to be slowly putting other items on sale

What will May 5th bring?

Posted by bezetkace in Poland, 04 May 2012 18:53

Nothing. In Europe (Poland) it's 1 AM, and there are no changes in S@H offer.

* We still have 10212 'available'. :)

Posted by Acadia in United States, 04 May 2012 19:12

@LukeSkywalker - I'm currently on LEGO's website and there is no add to bag button for it. Looks like I'll have to wait till it goes back to full price.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 04 May 2012 21:28

I'm sure glad I pulled the trigger on 10212.

Posted by ShatteredGnome in United States, 04 May 2012 22:16

I took a drive to my nearest LEGO store this afternoon and picked up the X-wing and several Series 7 Collectible Figs. I also got the Droid Escape set, though I had to place a free-shipping order at the register because they didn't have it in stock at the store. I almost didn't get the TC-14 I had come for because the online order counted as a "separate transaction", but after a quick check, the employee said she was allowed to give me the fig; there was some issue with another employee thinking the offer was in-store only and not online. But everything worked out. :)

May the Fourth be with you!

Posted by legoyt in Australia, 05 May 2012 07:45

May the 5th sounds like May the Sith

Posted by zjygkmatt in United States, 05 May 2012 08:17

My story is good. I bought the Y-Wing, the Geonosian cannon and the Padawan DVD which came out to $85.

Now the story gets better, I get home, only to discover I have 2 TC-14 minifigures in my hand.
The lady must have not realized she grabbed 2. :)

I also found some 30051 X-wing polybags from 2010 at another toy store for buy one get one half off. Turned out to be a pretty good may 4th for me.

Posted by bezetkace in Poland, 05 May 2012 09:39

My wallet is not breathing... :O

Posted by lovaquero in United States, 05 May 2012 09:56

10212 IS is listed as "Sold Out" in the US - hence no option to add to the bag. It HAS been in productin since FAll 2010...=(

Ditto for Canada. Still available in other parts of the world though...

Posted by The Reviewer in United States, 05 May 2012 12:05

I Got the Millenium Falcon for $126 (well with the tax it cost $135) and the Tc14 and some poster.

Posted by lovaquero in United States, 05 May 2012 12:41

I love shop@home - The 10212 IS is BACK IN STOCK with expected ship date of 25 MAY2012. Feel free to cuss me out for the heartattack I may have caused earlier...

BUT 10221 SSD is no longer on sale?!

[UPDATE ] I just talked to 2 nice ladies on Customer Service and I was informed that the SSD and IS are no longer on sale. It appears that Lego has no qualms about implying a sale last 2 days, then randomly changing it midway through the 2nd day. I'm not too pleased with Lego on this one. =(

Probably won't be purchasing online from them for sometime, no matter how many TC14's I could get with small multiple orders. Back to Amazon, BL and eBay for cheaper prices.

Posted by gman13579 in United States, 05 May 2012 20:27

That is absolutely ridiculous. I didn't order the SSD yesterday because I wasn't sure if I was going to get it. I knew the sale was two days long. Waited, and now it's not on sale. I sent an angry complaint to lego about this. That isn't right to do that to us when we are willing to buy it. So if anyone is willing to back me up send me a message.

Posted by Leggo my LEGO in Canada, 05 May 2012 21:37

Ordered a TIE Fighter and the little Death Star. A cool poster, TIE Fighter, Death Star christmas ornament and TC-14 are all on the way!

EDIT: shame about 10221. Personally though, I dont really care that much becuase its 500 bucks in Canada, not to mention it is bricking HUGE.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 05 May 2012 21:58

I bought the Shuttle and the SSD within the first 5 minutes of the sale. I feel bad about what happened to some of you. On one hand Lego has the right to do whatever they want whether right or not. We all knew this sale was coming for quite some time. We didn't know exactly what was going to be on sale, but we knew we would be buying something to get the TC-14. Alot of us were willing to place multiple orders to get multiple TC-14's. If you hadn't bought the SSD or the Shuttle before the sale, I'm sure alot of you were willing to buy it when the sale went online. Knowing the Shuttle is on it's way out for good I don't see why anyone would wait til the end of the first day and into the second day. Haven't we learned this from our awful experiences with TRU's BOGO sales? If you didn't buy anything in the first hour of the sale, you were pretty much out of luck after that because it was probably sold out.

With all that said, I think it's bad business for Lego to withdraw the sale price on the SSD and/or the Shuttle.

Posted by vpustote in United States, 06 May 2012 17:48

HELP! So I got no email confirmations, and I checked my order status on Lego and there's nothing. I made five orders of about $700. Nothing is showing up anywhere.

I remember last year, everything I ordered right at midnight were suddenly out of stock and took 3 weeks to get to me. I don't want to sit around waiting and wondering for 3 weeks, especially without any kind of order confirmation to make me feel better.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 06 May 2012 21:52

Whoa, if nothing is showing up in your order status and no email confirmations then I don't think your orders went through. Did you check with your credit card company to see if your transactions showed up?

Posted by vpustote in United States, 06 May 2012 21:57

@pitfall69, The transactions went through in my bank account. That's about the only part that Lego has working perfectly.... the part where they take your money.

Nothing else is showing up, I've checked my VIP account several times and no transactions or pending orders... nothing.

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 07 May 2012 00:15

Wow. That seems very strange. Usually, a retail store doesn't charge your credit card unless your item is ready to be shiped or has already been shipped. I'm sure they were overwhelmed with orders, but your case seems strange. I wish you the best of luck.

Posted by bartthecartoon in United States, 07 May 2012 10:10

I placed an order for 3 SW sets to get TC-14, but the next day another order showed up in my history? The other order only has one item in it, item number 2855031, it has a quantity of 1, and the name field is blank. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Posted by lovaquero in United States, 07 May 2012 17:00

@vpustote - Give Lego Sutomer Service a jingle. They will be able to verbally confirm what is on your account. Especially if you give them your VIP acct number.

@bartthecartoon - no idea on the that number, but same suggestion - Call Customer Service and ask.

Lego Customer Service is pretty good to help, even if you don't get your way (personal experience. The online order "status" system is nice, but not exactly reliable. I have over a dozen order that _still_ show as "in-process", even though I received them quite some time ago (months-years). Two of my May the 4th orders are showing "in-process", despite having a tracking number (that shows up in FedEx system on their way) and no email verification...

In Short - Call Cust Service if you have questions. Be nice to who you talk with - they are getting slammed (still)

;-P
