It appears that the "May the 4th" promotion is now live on shop.LEGO.com for the Kiwis and Aussies!

Not entirely unexpected, the discounts are few and far between this year.

The sets on sale are as follows:

    • 10221 - Super Star Destroyer 20% Off
    • 10212 - Imperial Shuttle 20% Off
    • 7964 - Republic Frigate 10% Off

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. Not excited as of yet.

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 03 May 2012 17:01

Free shipping, Free poster, Free super awesome TC-14 minifigure and a modest discount....I won't be complaining.

Posted by lippidp in United States, 03 May 2012 17:11

Oh baby, I hope the US gets the 20% off SSD. My finger is on the trigger!

Posted by Wagnerml2 in United States, 03 May 2012 17:15

**yawn***

I have a feeling the SSD will be one of those sets that skyrockets in price once it's discontinued.

I have all these reasons why I haven't bought it yet - not a good price/piece, not many minifigs, I have the other star destroyers that were released, there are just WAY too many things that are a "want" above this - but at this price, plus all the incentives Yellowcastle mentioned...it is VERY tempting indeed...

I will buy just enough ($75) to get that chrome c-3po wanna-be... that's it. Unless some better sales happen.

The promotion just started in Germany.
I ordered 10223 Kingdoms Joust and the TC-14 is listed as a gift.

@yellowcastle. I completely agree with you. This is pretty awesome event with lots of nice promotions going on together. I have been waiting a few months for this. I held out on the more expensive SW sets just for this day.

now live in the UK as well as of midnight.

Posted by starwarsholland in Netherlands, 03 May 2012 19:17

Also in Holland already for more then an hour...

SSD 20% off!

Apart from the free shipping, free TC-14 and free poster you also get the mini tie fighter...! Not that i care much about that TIE, it was already free with many other promotions, but its indeed another extra to a list lot of free items with your order!!

Posted by avacadoturban in United Kingdom, 03 May 2012 19:18

Woot woot! Bagged and tagged a SSD and TC-14! Now for sleep, work, and maybe another purchase later on this afternoon.

Posted by Alepou in Australia, 03 May 2012 19:43

I purchased the LEGO Volkswagen T1 Camper Van 10220 and It said I get the free stuff too TC-14 and Poster.

Posted by Alepou in Australia, 03 May 2012 19:47

I'm coming up as being in the USA, but I'm from Australia??? My profile says Melbourne, Australia.

Just saying. I don't know.

Posted by OllieL in United Kingdom, 03 May 2012 19:54

I made my 3 orders within 11 minutes of the sale going up.

2 Battle of Hoth games plus a series 7 collectable mini figure

Battle for Geonosis and Droid Escape

Jedi Interceptor, 2012 clone battle pack and 2012 end or battle pack.

Meaning I get 3 TC-14s, 3 posters, 3 TIE fighter polybags and a lot of VIP points. Now i'm waiting for the Super Heroes promotion towards the end of the month.

Posted by bigw1974 in United States, 03 May 2012 19:56

Guess I'll just get Echo Base, been meaning to pick that up at some point.

Posted by Alepou in Australia, 03 May 2012 20:28

All fixed, now. :)

Is this the 4th only or 4th and 5th?

Posted by Dr Rod in Australia, 03 May 2012 20:50

May the 4th is generally the only time Australians get free shipping offered, very annoying and hence why I will very rarely buy from S@H.

I grabbed the UCS shuttle and with my VIP points it ended up about 35% off, so with free shipping that is worth it.

If the SuperStarDestroyer became 20% off in Canada it would finally be down to American retail. Afterall that, I'll still be asked to be paying more in taxes! Hmm, it's certainly something to think about considering how many VIP points I have saved... but $400+TAX certainly isn't a decision I'll be making in the next hour or two.

Obviously I'm dissapointed too by the lack of discounts. I didn't expect too much from Lego, but I was still hoping to purchase something.

Posted by fongski in Canada, 03 May 2012 20:52

are the discounts in all countries? i live in Canada.

Posted by R4-G9 in Canada, 03 May 2012 21:54

i hope the sale is like it was the other year: 90% and 80% off instead of 10% and 20% that would make it worth it.
let me specify in canada and the US

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 03 May 2012 23:10

Pretty sure nothing was 90% off last time..I guess maybe the keychains if they were on sale...
10-20% is usually what is done, at least for the bigger sets..
10% pretty much means Im getting stuff tax free... The only real interesting thing on sale is the IS.
I hope LEGO forgets to make this on SW and allows for any purchase over 75 to get the figure....

Posted by gman13579 in United States, 04 May 2012 00:04

Well, right now when I click on the R2-D2 in lego it sends be back to the home page. Something is afoot

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 04 May 2012 00:05

They are in the process of starting the sale... close and reopen your browser.. although most sets are on sale the one conspiculously missing is the IS being on sale..
That and Grievious starfighter is Sold out... did not see that one coming.

Posted by vpustote in United States, 04 May 2012 00:31

@gman13579. I had the same problem with R2-D2. I searched him and clicked ADD to BASKET and it all of a sudden worked.

My guess is that they reset something. I did have him in my basket to start with, but it cleared him out at midnight.
