Will this be available in the LLW shop do you think?, as I'm going on Saturday!

Legoland Windsor is not the same as the LEGO shop. I think it is a franchise?

They don't do these offers, discount etc. Also they don't take the VIP card.
Was there last week. Nothing worth buying.

Cheers

Has to be over $100 in Australia.....

Posted by jonrossi in United Kingdom, 16 May 2012 04:50

$50 is worth about £31.35 last time i checked, need some friends in the USA!

I had to enter my order via phone since I still have the same issue reported by yellowcastle and other users at the beginning of May: when clicking on "place order", nothing happen! The guys at the customer service of nice but I hate to give my credit card details via phone. Does anyone else have the same issue? Please note I filled a compliant both on the phone and with an email. If you have the same issue, please do the same!

Offer is up for Switzerland (100CHF) and Germany (55EUR), too. Unfortunately, the LOTR-sets are not yet available.

Posted by CCC in United Kingdom, 16 May 2012 05:52

Remember no free postage this time, unlike the TC-14 offer.

Posted by ecmo47 in United States, 16 May 2012 05:56

Does not appear to be any free shipping in the US during this promo.

Looks like someone missed the opportunity for an obvious 'Banner' gag...

Posted by ecbirx in United States, 16 May 2012 07:14

Looks like you can claim the gag on "Banner" nice one, way to go! I like it.

Posted by Zordboy in Australia, 16 May 2012 07:22

I approve of your Banner gag :).

Frankly I'm not even sure what I would do with a Hulk Minifig when I already have the Hulk "macrofig" from the Helicarrier Breakout set.

Guess the Minifig will be Lou Ferrigno.

Posted by Furnas in United States, 16 May 2012 08:32

Doh. Guess I will have to get 6868 after all. :P

Posted by natro220 in United States, 16 May 2012 09:09

@UtarEmpire You could always sell it in a couple years...seeing as it isn't in a set, it'll be worth a lot of money. I personally think the figure is awesome.

great if shop.lego.com actually shipped to your country..... they don't to mine....

Lego better stock the LOTR sets before the end of the month then! :P

Posted by Psymon in United Kingdom, 16 May 2012 12:08

How much do you make per click Huw?

Posted by T-Lars in United States, 16 May 2012 12:22

I was eligible for this promo last night when I made a P-A-B order, which I thought was strange since I was certain the promo started today.

Posted by voypro in United States, 16 May 2012 12:49

@Psymon

I think alot of folks wonder about that. Typically websites make very very little on this sort of click-through. pennies per click usually.

It is my guess Huw and other running the site do all this as a labor of love for their passion... Lego's. I can't imagine the time they take putting all these articles together, photographing and whatnot. With what they pay for bandwidth and the fact that there is no advertisement going on (which actually would be fine with me) ; I am sure no ones making big profits (Not that you were implying that) But I think the effort for click-through profit is likely to maintain a close to break even point.

It is not said enough here, but thanks to everyone who makes this site happen.

I just went and got one today. Will probably go again next week as well for a second.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 16 May 2012 14:39

The site gets nothing per click. It only gets a small commission if you buy something once you've clicked.

So, I popped into the London Westfield store today and picked a Hulk minifig up. The lovely person behind the till was nice enough to not make me find something to make up the extra penny on the Hulk Hellicarrier set, which was nice of her.

I must admit, after seven series of CMF, that it felt "wrong" to get a minifig in a bag that didn't come with a stand. Not that I ever use them, but it still felt wrong.

And yes, @brickmommy, he comes with a double sided face, which made me happy :)

Posted by Soundczar in United States, 16 May 2012 18:16

I got one today without any hassle, will go again to get another soon.

Posted by Ypres in Canada, 16 May 2012 18:40

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 16 May 2012 22:16

@jamiest

Thanks for the info, I played it safe and ordered something yesterday anyway. Didn't want to miss out on one of these.
